I've heard that since Taurus' ruler is Venus, it lends itself to pretty people, but unfortunately I don't think it outweighs my problems with it.

I come off as WAY shyer than I want to be/am, so I end up scaring people off once they get me talking because I'm either really energetic or really intense or both. Oops!

If it helps any - David Bowie is an Aqua ascendant too. And it *should* help, because he's quite bada$$...

I think Jerry Lee Lewis ("Great Balls of Fire") is an Aquarius rising too...

I like my Leo rising (trine Venus/Neptune and Jupiter) but it makes me seem really outgoing while I am, meanwhile, sucking up the emotional environment like a sponge (8H Pisces moon.)

It's not that I'm fake, I'm just really trying to balance the genuine "Oh I'm SO happy to see you!" with the gut impression of, "Even though you are probably going to cry on my shoulder in the next hour and make me feel like crap because I can't fix the problem!"

I'm a Pisces Sun with an Aqua Moon and a Taurean Venus, so I'm actually probably thinking about a recently read article about a newly discovered planet, coffee chip ice cream, or a nice back massage.

The upside of my Scorpio Asc (perhaps paired with my 10h Leo Mars conj my NN) is that everyone seems to think that I'm much more cooly competent than I feel.

I actually really like the Taurus Rising combined with the Virgo Sun. That sounds like a really nice combination, actually...

See, where it gets really funky for me is that my Venus - Taurus' ruler - is almost exactly on my Descendant in the opposite sign. And my Mercury, Jupiter, and Pluto are all in the opposite sign of Scorpio too. On top of that, my Sag Sun is in the 8th house, which is ruled by Scorpio.

So basically an absolute TON of Scorpio.

I also have Saturn in the 11th house, which makes it even harder to make friends, oops.

And ultimately, with my fire sun and air moon, I WANT to be social and have friends and stuff but I have a lot of difficulties making friends and I constantly feel like I'm really awkward in social situations and like I'm alienating people when I'm probably actually not.

So the contradictions of how I come off to people versus how I actually am is rather frustrating. =/

Had a difficult childhood, felt lonely all the time but loved the loneliness.complicated stuff. when I was 18 it felt as if I was 80 years old.

Now am more relaxed, more at ease with who I am, with who have become. Lessons learnt.
