My Scorpio roommate just got engaged to her Aries boyfriend. They're 21 and have only been dating 3 months  But hey, they're in love and he's in the military so it's not really all that surprising. She's my roommate and also my friend so I've seen both the good and bad in their relationship lol, most of the time they get along amazingly well, but when they argue.. it's not pretty. Which is to be expected considering the passion and intensity of Scorpio and Aries. But she said her dad is also an Aries, and they have a somewhat combative relationship. So it makes even more sense lol and I can't help but think the arguing doesn't give her second thoughts because that's just what she is used to... I do think overall they're good for each other and that they can and will make it for the long haul though. Just thought it's interesting... I'm sure it's not actually that common and I know just looking at the Sun sign is simplistic, but is anyone else out there married or in a long term relationship with someone of the same sign as your parent (presumably the opposite sex parent, but I guess either) My dad is a Virgo, and I've never actually dated a Virgo, although I always get along with them really well, and the things that drive other people up the wall about Virgos don't really phase me because, all that nit picking and criticism and over rationalizing is just what I grew up around lol My mom is the opposite sign Pisces, and I've never dated a Pisces either, but I'm a Cap and I do repeatedly get involved with Cancer suns, so maybe there was something in that opposite dynamic that feels familiar as well.. Libra w/ Pisces It just doesn't work out~ especially with Lib~ Psc Dsc --- I like /traits/ from them/their Neptunian habits/mind/looks (haha) -- but doubt I could handle /too much/ of the Piscean vibe in a romantic encounter... just a touch is fine... maybe. friends is best yet~

Dad is a cappie as was my first spouse and several love connections. First marriage ended very bad, his Sun/Mars in Cappie squares my Pluto. All that bad violent stuff about Mars/Pluto came true. Very painful, also his Sun/Mars squares his Pluto in natal, we are very close in birth.Anyways w Cappie falling into my first house & Moon opposing Saturn, Venus sextile Saturn, I've always loved the sea goats after the first disaster, the other crappie unions went good and ran their course peacefully (no other had mars in cappie for a dreadful square). Now I'm married to a crabby opposite of the sea goat very Saturnian though w Saturn in the first house. Lol oddly enough the passion of Pluto has continued, we have his Sun/Venus square my Pluto, my Venus loosely conj his Pluto. Guess I will never escape Pluto energy having been born w Venus in Scorpio. Granted the passion of Sun/Venus on Pluto is not at all horrid as was Mars/Pluto. Overall my husband being of the opposite sun sign as dad, still shares much of the same traits. Love of family, loyalty, passion for material security. I must admit dad as a Capricorn is more selfless in sacrificing much for the family (extended & home base), while husband being a Crab loves family but ultimately it comes down to his being #1 always. My dad's an Aquarius but the typical kind...yet I've dated people who are a lot different (Uranian) than myself personality wise and environment wise.My mom is also an Aries with Taurus rising and a Libra moon. Her and I argue a LOT. My longest relationship was with a Leo and we butt heads sometimes, but the intensity was the same as my mother and I. IP: Logged |

No, my Mom and Dad are Sagittarius and Cancer respectively and I have never dated either signs.But I keep on dating Taurus/ Gemini signs a lot. The former one is my Ascendant sign whilst the latter is my zodiac opposite.
I am a Sagittarius sun/Libra Mars btw, and I seem to pursue Air/Venus types. BTW: Something to be said about Aries/Scorpio or Aries/Aries relationships: They develop pretty quickly and the next thing...bam! The two people want to get married. One would be surprised at such a spontaneous action; especially with regards to a Scorpio Sun, but if the person concerned has the Mars in Aries, you can be sure that impulsive action is likely.

That's a yes for me.My dad is an aries sun and i cant stand him at all. But i figure its something in our charts because i get along with other aries rather well. sure they can be annoying *sometimes* but generally they are total teddybears.
I love aries women though. love love love I will def marry an aries though. Not only did i get told that in several tarot readings but I've always known, because they just feel like home. I've had more romance with aries guys than any other sign for sure. My cousin's dad is also an aries. and even tho i used to think i drew aries bc of my libra rising, she is head over heels with a capricorn and has no earth, libra sun and aries rising. her dad is a capricorn. i dont think that there is any truth to it, though i used to think so. I've just really payed attention and been very observant bc i wondered about it, too, and did not see a pattern of women dating their father's signs. I realized for me, the reason why i like aries is not just bc of my libra rising, but especially because of my venus, moon, and mars being in leo. that means i want a guy who is playful, a leader, and colorful and enthusiastic, as aries guys usually are. Saggie guys usually arent like that though. They aren't colorful and energetic...they're chill and calm and easygoing. Playful..maybe sometimes..but a lot more chill and serious than the aries guys. and the reason why im not drawn to leo guys is bc leos dont usually like other leos since they want the limelight. my dad is a leo and my mum is an aries... i have never dated either of the signs. while i love them both, i never liked too many leo guys.. too dramatic for my taste.. as for aries men ,recently all the guys i have been attracted to are aries. funnily enough i have always attracted aquarius and libras. both opposite signs to my parentsIP: Logged |

My real dad is a Libra Sun, and Virgo Moon, and have never been close with him. Have had Libra men interested in me before, but there isnt any real chemistry, its just not there. Havent had any Libra friends either that I can think of. Even though I am a Libra myself, I find that I differ from a typical Libra. Definitely more emotional.The longest relationship I had was with a Scorpio, which is my moms Sun Sign. I think because I was mostly raised by her that I feel a sense of home and comfort with other Scorpios. When your used to a certain signs energy, you tend to attract it more. IP: Logged |

My dad is a Scorpio Sun/Gemini Moon; my mom is a Cancer Sun/Leo Moon. I dislike both combinations and wouldn't date either. As for just the sun signs I'm not opposed to Scorpio and Cancer people, but I tend to have the most tumultuous relationships with these types of people, so IDK if I'd be up for dating them. I thinK Scorpio Sun would be easier but who knows. I can see a bad ending with both. I can't say what marriage with either sign would be like, but Cancer would be the worst since I'm far from homey and one to settle down or have kids... I'm far from what a typical Cancer guy wants unless his chart says otherwise. Scorpio Sun I'd have an easier time marrying but we'd probably butt heads a lot. IP: Logged |
