Topic: I like my vedic chart better than my tropical chart (rant)

My vedic is boring, Aries moon, Gemini Sun, Capricorn Rising. It doesnt sound pretty as a Taurus Moon and Cancer Sun D:IP: Logged |

Yep.....people BORN in and around the Indian Subcontinent relate to sidereal charts, rather than Tropical.
This has Nothing to do with Vedic and Western Astrology.
It is just two different chart systems : Tropical and Sidereal.
The planetary placements in tropical which are around 23 degrees ahead of what we have in sidereal, does not fit, especially when the sign changes.....JUST like how you guys feel about Tropical vs Sidereal....
Tropical charts are as useless to us, as Sidereal is to you guys....
Personally, I use, Sidereal system, Equal House.
(I repeat, i am not talking about Vedic astrology which includes the nakshatra and rashi system, kundli matching for compatibility, etc. For all these purposes too, Sidereal system is used)
 I dunno why it is like this, i.e different ppl are able to relate to either system, maybe it has something to do geography and India being just about the equator... not sure IP: Logged |

I become super air. Four Libra planets, Aquarius S-turn...keep my Leo rising, but then Sagittarius Uranus/Neptune makes me a little more fiery. But Capricorn Moon? Cancer Mars? Hmm...it's iffy, and I'm leaning to no, I don't relate muchhhh. #KindaUndecided  IP: Logged |

Yes I mean when I first saw my chart I become this super earthy taurus, my whole I've been told I was a gemini. I was no way I could related I read about nakshatras, and I related so much to mine, even more than my tropical gemini placements. Also my Navamsa chart had a lot of gemini placements so I think that does even out.They have planetary periods called dashas and was like eye opening. Especially looking at the planetary periods in my child hood. I think its really important to study Vedic astrology, its less about your personality and more life and future orientated IP: Logged |

I recommend B.V Raman books. Have you heard of the Ashtakavarga System of Prediction? Quite fascinating.
