Topic: I like my vedic chart better than my tropical chart (rant)

*TROPICAL*
I hate my cancer moon in my tropical chart. It makes me too emotional and makes life HARD. I hate my virgo ascendent, I am way too critical of myself and I spiral down into my emotional moon. I hate my aries venus! I scare guys away and end up getting heartbroken.. thus reinforcing my virgo rising and cancer moon. UGhh... it makes life so hard. I hate my gemini mars... I am completely scatterbrained and ADHD!!! And extremely lazy!! I only like my Taurus Sun and Aries Jupiter.*VEDIC*
I love my Leo rising. I love my aries sun. I love my moon in gemini. I love my pisces venus. That's what I call an easy ass life. Full of confidence, go-getter, passionate, not too emotional & best lover! However... I dont resonate with my vedic chart. >  IP: Logged |

I do find a lot of things in Vedic astrology fascinating and its very much different than tropical.
if you're going to look into Vedic astrology you should do it right.
Heres a pro tip, look up nakshatras for sun, moon, and asc. Moon is actually the most important one to look at.
Nakshatras are used for every planet etc. Every nakshatra has its own personality, so every Gemini moon with be different etc. Also Vedic astrology has another birth chart called navamsa, I would look into that too, it shows the condition of the planet.

I know a lot of people swear by Vedic, but I can never take it seriously because no one I know is anything like their Vedic chart, neither am I.I "get" that it's an old system, maybe even older than standard tropical astrology. But "age" and "accuracy" are two different things, entirely. IP: Logged |

In the sense that yes, the positions of the constellations and things actually match the way they're laid out in sidereal. That doesn't mean in and of itself that the interpretations of those placements are accurate. That itself hasn't been proven scientifically, no. IP: Logged |

I think if Vedic astrology considered using the outer planets along with the asteroids. Frankly, compared to Western astrology they don't nearly have as much information on the charts. The information they do have however, seems pretty extreme...a lot of them being life or death situations. Vedic astrology does not focus on the aspects between the planets as much as the houses, and the house rulers. Even certain colors and jewelry that people wear has a bigger influence on how there life will turn out it seems. These "remedies" to help fix the bad placements in one's chart usually include stuff you can buy off there site. Which makes me believe they tell you bad things so you can buy the "good" stuff from them.
When it comes to vedic compatibility I've noticed that gender plays a big part in it. Including the idea that being manglik can cause a death/short-life span from the marriage, if there partner is non-manglik. Those are personal things I think they should to change in order to get more people into Sidereal/Vedic astrology. Personally, even if they did I'd still stick to my tropical chart  quote:

Western is too, it's based on the earth's seasonal movement from the Sun.
That being said, even traditional Vedic astrology is put down because they don't use the 13th sign. So many Astrologers and Astronomers believe there calcuations are off point as well. IP: Logged |

Astrology isn't about what we like or don't like LOL. That being said,the charts be it the Vedic or Western are just charts that can have various scenarios of the same interpretation. My Vedic Chart says am a Gemini moon,and a cancer sun and that I have all personal planets( mercury,venus, saturn and sun) in the 7th house - Cancer. My asc is Capricorn. Whereas in the western style, they tell me I actually have moon in cancer and that sun, venus, mercury and saturn are in my 7th house -Leo. Because the western style is more accurate in its calculations, they give you the exact degree onto which the planets fall and you could see for yourself how they fall in such and such houses. Plus they take in all the outer planets in consideration which is very relevant to our lives. However, I believe the north node and south node are expressed as Rahu and Ketu in the vedic charts. I read somebody spoke about intuition. I believe in intuition. I was in India in the beginning of this year, met with someone in the hotel I was staying. We got friendly and he started saying things to me that were so true.It so happened that heis just someone who has a certain gift.I asked him to draw my chart and to my surprise it was the same as the Western chart. As per the vedic astrology, my birth star was X ( don't remember the name but I know it was moon in gemini) he told me it was Y ( moon in cancer)and sun , mercury,venus and saturn in Leo. I have to highlight the fact that this guy only worked with my date,place and time of birth that much infront of me, without using any of the internet calculation sites.He was just amazing and a little freaky too. Juno-Virgo I have always wondered WHY in Christ Almighty's name I attract so many Gems and Sags!! And I look like a Leo rising!! I behave like a Leo. Every single thing Leo's do, I do. I do love like a Cancer. Very nurturing. Juno in Virgo?? Mars in Virgo??? No. I am a HUNTER!! I get so turned off when men chase me. I wanna be in control. And when I have my prey, I get bored.Hence why I have gone thru a disgusting amount of opposite sex-interests the last 10 yrs.
I think like a Gemini. Thoughts, thoughts, thoughts. I am here and I am there. My Dad is a Gemini Sun and Leo Moon and I understand him on all aspects of understanding. My mom is a Scorp Sun and Scorp Moon and she rubs me the complete wrong way!!
Also, I have always wanted to go to India! I am about to buy a dog and call it Richard Parker...after tiger in Life of Pi...
I have also suffered from "itchy feet" since I was 17. I moved to Los Angeles from Europe when I was 20 and have been here for 16 years. I have travelled a whole lot but am slowly settling down mentally. Just don't try and confine me because I will retaliate and panic!
And I detest Virgo people!!! No offense. And watery emotion makes me cringe.
I had the longest relationship with a Leo/Aries. Although it was up and down we are very good friends now. I DO get along well with Pisces and that is the only water sign I feel comfy with. This is my Vedic Asc-Leo

I think both system work in there own way.
You guys can't debunk Vedic astrology either. Sidereal definitely works well for them. An entire country commonly uses it. Its more popular there than tropical is in the west. This is just a simple case of WHAT I BELIEVE IN IS BETTER!!! IP: Logged |

True They have their own way to make compatibility charts between two people. They also take into consideration the Navamsa chart. It's the most important divisional chart. This is usually used to predict marriage,the spouse of the person, and everything related to the married life or celibacy if indicated. This kind of prediction is quite accurate. IP: Logged |
