What is it about Capricorn Moons that get so much of bad reputation? Why is this placement described as so cold and calculating in their personalities? The reason I ask is I am a Capricorn Moon. Explenations please.IP: Logged |

It's not that Cap moons are cold and calculating, it's more about us not being comfortable with showing and processing our emotions. The moon is considered in detriment in Cap because its energy can't be expressed well there.My moon is in Cap and I view emotions as impractical and distracting. I try not to make decisions under the influence of my feelings. Not sure if this is a Cap moon thing, but I also hide my emotions because I don't want them to burden people I care about (or be used against me by people I don't trust). IP: Logged |

Because it seems from us outsides its hard for them to be affectionate warm hearted unless under the influence or actually wanting a relationship, which only comes in a dot here then 2 days later another dot there.I had an experience with a Capricorn moon man, and all we did was bicker because he had a problem with letting his guard down, he had very complex mental problems though Capricorn women IP: Logged |

And I think they hate that feeling, that's when they shut down mentally because emotions need to be processed, analysed. They are not comfy with emotional people around. It's not that they are cold or unemotional. I believe they are just like everyone else except they have their ways of dealing with them that might come across as mechanical to us outside people.

But a lot of them are... There are certain things people with common sense would say or do...they choose to ignore when they want and choose to speak when they want. Everything is on their own terms. This goes beyond the basic emotive level...it's about respect for another human being. Despite what they intend or believe in, they end up coming off as fake, cold, and selfish. Sorry, I am a bit fed up with men with Cappy Moons. It seems they have no room for improvement on the interpersonal level.

My brother has a Cap moon and emotional expression and frankly, empathy, is not his forte. Can't speak for others who have it or know someone who does, but his emotions run very dry, very mechanical, and can be extremely off-putting. Although he has Libra rising, he treats people more like projects rather than human beings. It can be helpful in his work where a lot of technical know-how is necessary, but when it comes to expressing himself, it's hardly a Hallmark moment.IP: Logged |

As we speak.. I am being very cold and harsh and unforgiving - on Christmas day none other - towards a Taurus Mooner - because he is a two faced, mentally messed-up, lying, cheating moron who is trying to steal my friends.And I don't even care anymore. Because if people are going to be jerks & disrespectful towards me - then I will be as cold as I want towards them. Basically Capricorn Moon is only cold - once you have done something to cross a line with them. They are not known for giving second chances. IP: Logged |

I think just from my own experience. Capricorn Moons are more afraid of being controlled than anything else. They control and calculate because they want to make sure that they aren't put into a place where they can be taken advantage of. I wouldn't say that they are cold, but I do think they are capable of acting against their own strong feelings if they thought it would keep them safe and protected from outside thoughts or people influencing decisions. I think that they can push themselves away from something they have emotional ties to on purpose. They will suffer in silence but they will do it because they are so utterly afraid of failure. On the other hand, I personally feel like I'm able to withstand any coldness Cap moons dish out. I have Cap Mars, so I never feel as if I've drawn the short stick. My Mars is at 14 degrees Cap, and with most astrologers allowing a 10 degree orb with synastry conjunctions, I cover most Cap placements. A Cap moon tries to sever ties? Frankly, I smile with amusement because their cold shoulder toward me doesn't last long.IP: Logged |

When you say "it's easy to cut ties," I'm not sure if you're referring to Cap Mars like us, or Cap moon, since that's the impression I got from the posts on the thread so far (the Cap Moon cutting ties). As for me, thinking in terms of my Cap Mars, with my other placements and Pisces rising, people tend to think I'm joking when I get angry and that when I sever ties, I'm just role-playing. They usually give me some kind of smirk of disbelief, but once they realize I'm serious, it's a case of: "I always thought you were joking."

"Yep."
"It's over between us?"
"Done." But, back to Cap moons now, lol.

I guess, both? lol. It's easy I say when I've been hurt deeply. Even when I've moved on, I didn't regret it. That person will remain a stranger to me from then on. I"m not someone who is easily angered, you know. Normally, I'm a cool, gentle person (Cancer AC). But if someone provokes me, you'd see that cold side of me. And though it's a controlled anger, you'd still see it--I'll make sure you'll see it. I won't hold it in. Hell, I'm Aries within so it's impossible to hold it in. lol.

In my case, it's the father. He's cold and distant--and IRRESPOSIBLE. I hate him. I'm a Mama's girl--a spoiled brat.lol. She raised me alone and the only person in this world who truly loves me. She's a Capricorn Rising, btw. In return, though I wouldn't tell her, I promise to give her everything she needs--take care of her until she gets old. I will never abandon her--that's how I'm going to show my love for her--THROUGH ACTIONS.

Yea I feel this way too Odette, I have been known to eliminate people from my life completely without so much as a bye or take care. Oh and of course have had this done back to me as well. Being a Capricorn Moon through 2012 though was very different I say that because the emotional wall fell completely and it feels real weird and unnatural.For the life of me though I can't seem to go back to the distant and unfeeling way that I used to be and I am not sure that I like this. But you allcan judge for yourself and check out my chart and tell me why this is....is it because there's alot of Fire placements? I don't know...
