We all already know the big misconception of basing traits solely on Sun Signs. And indeed I see so frequently in sites like compatible-astrology.com of statements like "Pisces men are the most romantic", "Libran girls are elegant beauties", and so on.

I can be quuuuuitttte a ROMANTIC myself and indeed I LOVE Romance fiction such as Sailor Moon, Gone With the Wind, and Doctor Zhivago (which I'm reading right now).

At first when I was getting into Astrology I attributed my love for Romance to my Sun in Pisces.

However when I started learning about the Moon Signs, and the Planetary Placements, the less I felt my Romantic tendencies matched my Sun Signs description.

I felt my description matched my Venus in Pisces and Leo Moon the most.

Leo Moons are said to find "Strong-Willed" women of the most sophistication and self-dignity as ideal. In fact many of my crushes in fiction tended to be strong-willed women who can take the charge when hell breaks lose as leaders. They have such self-dignity that they would never stoop so low as to sell themselves as prostitutes.

Indeed I can be incredibly fantasist and unrealistic when it comes to matters of love like the stereotypical Pisces Sun.

But I absolutely despise what the Pisces Sun Stereotypical Description of being effeminate weakling artists who are often drug addicts.

My ideal Romantic man is more of the description of the Moon in Leo Man.

Who pretty much fits the archetype of dashing heroes of Romance novels who are the favorite of the ladies in such stories but is also such faithful once he decides to commit to one woman. While he is incredibly romantic, he is no naive fool and he realizes the need for secure well-being, hence he is often a trader or rich man (or at least trying to become rich) at the novel's start before he finds his love. In addition as much as he may grow affectionate of a woman, he has his limits for love because he has such a strong code of honor and would never stoop so low like the stereotypical Pisces Sun to try to please his chosen woman of affection.

Rhett Butler from Gone With the Wind is nearly spot on to this description (albeit he is a lot nastier than the stereotypical Leo Moon in the book but other than that he fits most of the traits of Moon in Leo).

The "Knights-in-Shining Armor" of old Medieval tales and male heroes of classic Disney movies like "Sleeping Beauty" and "Cinderilla" are pretty much spot-on of the stereotypical Moon in Leo Man (albeit they aren't shown as playful womanizers due to the point they finally found their love in the story).

But at the same time I do fantasize strongly about love as my Venus in Pisces states.

Am I correct here?

I know of people who may not have their Sun Signs in Romantic Signs, but the rest of their chart have at least one powerful placement in a Romantic Placement.

Many famous womanizers in History have either a Moon in Leo or Scorpio Rising as their Ascendant.

Casanova, the classic Playboy, according to most sources I read had a Scorpio Rising.

Axel Von Fersen was born with a Moon in Leo. Despite having a Virgo Sun, he was infamous for being a womanizer who women loved and indeed while historians doubt the authenticity of his love affair with Marie Antoinnette, if it really did happen you can see what such a loyal lover Fersen have been.

Yamamoto and Gandhi both had a Moon in Leo (with Gandhi also having a Libra Rising) and at some point int heir lives they were both womanizers.

I'd love to post about the Venus Signs, but I don't know the Venus of that many celebrities.

What do you think?

Moon in Libra is EASILY among the most Romantic Moon Signs along with Pisces Moon, Taurus Moon, and Leo Moon !

I actually think that Leo Moon and Libra Moon are such a romantic pair together !

What is considered romantic is relative to each person. Back up claims with evidence.

Pisces Moon and Taurus Moon are hopeless romantics for each other, indeed. My boyfriend is a Pisces Moon and I am a Taurus Moon.

Taurus Moon is more possessive than Pisces Moon and Pisces Moon would be more jealous and more "worshipping" of the other person imo..

Ugh, romance.... lol

I think... because of other placements in my chart.... my idea of romance and the ideals of others are extremely different.... and, I know... at least, for me... my idea of romance is always in the extreme... either completely practical - deliberate or spontaneous and overwhelming...

But the effect of being a Capricorn Sun/Virgo Asc --- perhaps with the other placements... well...
I consider my sense and desire of romance - repressed

I don't do showy romantic things ~ and I get very embarrassed when someone else is (not towards me even... just seeing mush on tv or the out on the street makes me turn bright pink) >.<

If I do something --- purposefully romantic for someone, if I did show that side.... it would be in the extremes again - I would have spent a great deal of at least mental focus on planning whatever it was, and also been extremely in the moment with the expression chosen when the moment came... It's hard to explain I guess... *fellinsilly*
I don't do romance often - despite having a mushpot Taurus Moon~ and my ideal tends to be in agreement to my Venus in Sagittarius. Probably~ Why I love fire moons so much... well, I'm certain that's why... haha yes those... hmm Leo Moons are um... charismatic! that's the word.... And well Sadge moons~ Show me one that isn't adventurous, romantic in some youthful way~ haha Aries mooners too... XD They can sweep ya off your feet when with little to no warning whatsoever!~

so... what I express is filtered by my sun/asc (Capricorn/Virgo).... but what I do is still Taurean, but I think maybe also fixed into having the feel of our DSC (Pisces for me) as the goal (I like to consider it stepping out of our mask and into our shadow self, from ASC-DSC! people see our mask all the time, but sometimes I think we show our other self which is still growing - I know~ I have weird ideas~ HAHA).... Anyway, that is our ideal so we would be inclined to imitate it in matters like this I think.... mirror... yes? something like that!!! And, what I prefer from others will untimely be something true where our Venus is (mine in Sadge), but also~ think it is very important to look at these Venus signs in our houses....
I have 2nd house Libra and 9th house Taurus... these too are important in what/how I express and wish to receive romantic gesture... they're important considerations, at least in my eyes... ^^

sorry for being confusing! ugh romance~ tough subject for an Earthian Robot.... lmfao

But, I get exactly what you're saying here 100% agree, and where you're coming from Pisces Adonis!!!

There're so many factors at play here, and it's great to see how each of us sorta represents our chart aspects and those ideals differently but also the where and how and sometimes the similarities too! ^^;

Hehehehe thats exactly why women with Moon in Fire Signs are my favorite! The stereotypical description for Fire Moon women just match my ideal women (Strong-Willed, Sophisticated, Dignified) SPOT ON <3!!!!!!!

All women I met online with Moon in fire signs I interacted veryw ell with. Don't even get me started on a Russian girl I met in a Sailor Moon Forum who has a Moon in Leo.......She's just soooooo PREETTTY and thats calling from what I remember of her pic! If I remembered I think I thought she was actually GORRGGEEEOOUUUSSS (though I merely commented in the thread that she's pretty) <3!!!!!

Thats Leo Moons for yah-Like you said are just soooo fuuuuun to be around and are just such Charmy and PREEEEEEETTTY people!!! I KNOW if I hadn't had so many negative aspects I'd exactly be all those stuff above and I have no doubt I will be once I overcome those aspects!!!!

Sagittarius Moons-ooooohhhh my BEST INTERNET FRIEND has a Sagittarius Moon and she's so fun!!!! Though she tells me IRL she's more cold and distant (she's a double Capricorn thus negating much of her Saggie Moon traits in the eyes of most people).

Aries Moon to are just such fun people too interact with and I just love how cheery and childish they can be!!!!

If there was an online dating service that would match me with a girl based on Natal Chart placements, oh I'd definitely be looking for a girl with a Moon in a Fire Sign in her chart in the internet database!!!!!

I understand you absolutely . Like I said my Best Internet Friend is a Double Capricorn and she herself has an incredibly hard time trying to interact with boys. I'm just leaving it there but I understand your pain!

Pisces Adonis, how cute! A guy that loves ‘Gone With The Wind’. I always thought that Scarlett was an Aries/Leo type of Character, So it makes sense that your Leo Moon would respond to her. And I always thought that Rhett was a combination of Leo, Aquarius and Taurus… He’s a confident manly man, he’s steady in his purpose, goes after what he wants, and doesn’t seem to care much what everybody else thinks. There for sure is a Leo theme to his character as well.

I just started reading Gone With the Wind back on Wednesday of this week and this time I truly intend to finish reading it from start-to-end!

I agree Scarlet definitely has an powerful Aries placement (I would go with Aries Moon). I also thinks she has an incredibly powerful Scorpio and Pisces Placement.I tend to lean towards Pisces Rising with her fantasy dreams about Ashley that ended up being revealed as an illusion (that is so typical Pisces Fantasy Land) and her so feminine appearance and charm and Scorpio Sun with her self-centered but powerful and resilient personality. Scarlet really does embody Pisces Rising and Scorpio Sun.

I even remember Linda Goodman in her book Sun Signs stating Scarlet is the epitome of the stereotypical Aries girl. While I disagree (she's too self-centered for an Aries girl and she's too calm to be one when she's trying to get what she wants and survive in hardships) I definitely believe her Moon is in Aries (she really does emotionally react like an Aries).

I pretty much agree with Rhett Butler except on Aquarius in the Big 3s though I have no doubt he has a number of important Aquarius planets with powerful aspects due to his intellectual nature-I myself lack an Aquarius placement in the Big 3s but have 2 very important planet (Saturn and Mars) in Aquarius with powerful aspects to them.

I'd likened Rhett to having a Leo Moon. Egotistic and while he's nasty and unscrupulous, he has a hidden side that has such a strong sense of honor and pride and he's so dashing throughout the story. If he wasn't so nasty in the book, he'd definitely give a regal impression (which Clark Gables shows off sooo dammmn well in the movie).

I'd give Taurus Sun for his calm personality in most dangerous situations and for his incredible patience for his beloved Scarlet. I honestly can't imagine someone putting up with a self-centered ***** Scarlet was throughout the story unless they have a powerful Taurus or Cancer placement in their Big 3s.

Rising Sign Scorpio no doubt in my mind. He has the primary physical traits of Scorpio Rising-dark skinned, dark haired, and muscular. His personality definitely fits Scorpio Rising-SELF-Centered like Scarlet (though he really does show it to the world openly unlike Scarlet and his Leo Moon prevents him from stooping to Scarlet's level), violent and cruel(I just got past the first 100 pages in my reattempt to read it and the way he insulted that "stupid fool" and later killed her brother in a duel is just so cruel and definitely Scorpio), perverse (IIRC in previous attempts to read GWTW he hired prostitutes and even raped Scarlet), and intense personality that either repels or lures in people.

He has that legendary Scorpio willpower to survive situations that would destroy most as seen in the Reconstruction.

What do you think?Thats my interpretation-

Scarlet Scorpio Sun, Aries Moon, Pisces Rising

Rhett Taurus Sun, Leo Moon, Scorpio Rising.

I'll get on the other stuff in your post tomorrow I got to sleep.

But yes I LOOOOVVVEEED Gone With the Wind when I watched the movie years ago and while I could never finish it from start to end when I tried reading the book several times years ago, I still remember all those powerful scenes that made me fall in love with the book even more than the movie (I skipped parts and went through the most memorable scenes in the movies to see the difference-and DAYUUUUM they were much more touching and made Scarlet seem so empathetic).

Also what do you think of Goodman stating Scarlet being the epitome of the Aries woman?

When I finish the story from start to end, I'll create a fictional analysis for the characters here on Astrotheme!!!

More tomorrow .

Am I romantic?

I have pondered on that question many times, I haven't come to a straight forward yes or no!I guess that depends on what is your definition of being romantic.

If it's roses and gifts, and candle light dinners..not am not really into that..if it's a guy I haven't developed a rapport yet and if it's in the beginning of a relationship I wouldn't be comfortable with a guy giving me those, I wouldn't know how to react, it would make me a little bit wary of him!! although I would secretly love the attention but it's not a winner with me,I might not take him seriously. If every time we meet he surprises me with gifts I would start feeling a 'little bit under pressure', I would feel as if I HAVE to return the favor somehow, and I would be quite repressed in my verbal expressions with this guy.I don't like to FEEL pressured so I will probably drop him even though he is romantic!

But if a guy shows me how considerate and attentive he is, like remembering little things I told him, showing me appreciation for the woman I am, sharing things with me about him, THIS guy is a real winner for me and he doesn't have to give me gifts or roses I would reward him with loyalty and lots of mushy expressions of love
If guy #2 surprises me with gifts and roses and candlelight dinners then am sold

So I can be both repressed emotionally and very open in the expression of my sentiments for a guy. Venus and Sun in Leo.

Libra Sun here.

I consider myself very romantic. I can daydream about love for hours. My Venus is in Libra - but it's squared by Neptune, so Piscean influence here as well!

Leo Moon.
