Though I'm neither a Gemini nor a Virgo, I find this thread quite interesting.

On one hand, Gemini and Virgo CAN be good for a few reasons. I am one of those weird people that like the Sun square Sun dynamic in a relationship, AS LONG as the rest of the natal chart syncs. And Mutable signs are often a little tricky to match up with, so I know many who date each other. I have also known signs who share rulership to be together. Like Aries and Scorpio (Mars), Taurus and Libra (Venus), Sagittarius and Pisces (Jupiter), and even Capricorn and Aquarius (Saturn). Gemini and Virgo are both ruled by Mercury, as you all have mentioned.

The only problem area is that one is Air...one is Earth. Virgo, especially female Virgos might be mutable, giving them an unusual amount of flexibility than their Taurus or Capricorn sisters, but still have that need for a tangible show of interest and affection in a relationship with their Earth element. Often times that's why many Earth signs are attracted to Fire signs. The Air sign Gemini needs to be like Air, coming and going as he wishes, and flitting about and if this doesn't spell inconsistency at times I dunno what does. Often times, he's emotionally clueless, feeling discomfort with disconcerting feelings. (Unless he has healthy amount of Water) That, and depending on Gemini's Moon and Mars sign and what Pluto is aspecting, I don't think they are all that interested in "passion" in the strongest sense of the word, while Virgo has a deep well of it within her that might bubble beneath the surface constantly. I feel like they can definitely meet intellectually, as they both enjoy mental stimulation but Gemini needs to make some more adjustments than Virgo does, unless that Gemini has a Taurus planet or two.

But I dunno, I have observed MANY couples with this match-up. To name some famous folks, Gemini Errol Flynn's last gf was a Virgo, Salma Hayek is married to a Gemini billionaire, and Eddie Ciberian left his Scorpio wife for Virgo Leann Rimes. Finally, that Courtney Stodden chick is a Virgo, and her creepy husband who is old enough to rent a coffin is a Gemini. There used to be a Virgo user on here who was married to a Gemini.

Well the point here is if its so hard for one to understand the other, because of their nature compared to others, and its your nature not to hold on long in the area of relationships(because of whatever reasons) just to fit into their criteria of "safe" or "trustworthy" long enough so they could be comfortable to show their other wonderful amazing side, would it be necessary to choose to start? Contrastingly, it could be a challenge for either side mainly the gemini in which he could stay all patiently till he got his prized possesion but that also depends on his fickle mind during the those moments of lust/attraction or whatever. But then again alot depends on the events/environment/phases/ which might put the two together subconsiously unknowingly long enough till a relationship blossoms that makes it all interesting and unpredictable which is what we called life
