Something I feel I have to share.

I am a Scorpio Rising as you in the forum all know already.

For years I was the stereotypical Pisces who lacked indulged and lacked basic self-restrained. But recently I've been becoming Scorpionic. This thread I made a while back explains more details.
http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/216866.html

In fact if anything I'm becoming more and more Scorpionic and indeed Discipline is one thing I'm finally attaining after years of lacking any sense of self-restrained.

It doesn't help I'm also a Scorpio-Aquarius Dominant and Pluto is my Dominant planet.

In fact Goodman herself praises Discipline as one of the most striking and best traits of the Scorpio Sign.

He'll probably be a stern father. The children won't get away with an ounce of lazy or frivolous behavior. Hell teach them to respect property, but he'll also teach them to respect themselves. Youngsters will seldom get the chance to form any false values around a Scorpio papa. Although he'll love them with as much sincere passion as he puts into everything else he cares about, he won't Stand for any nonsense. He'll protect them when they need it, but they'll soon get the message that he expects them to stand alone. If they borrow money from him, he's liable to charge them interest on it, but it's for their own good. They may not realize that until he's gone some-day, but the lesson will eventually come home to them. Lots of children of Scorpio fathers resent his high-handed authority and tight discipline throughout childhood, and especially during the rebellious years, but as adults, they realize how lucky they were to have his firm guidance. From no other father can children learn so much truth about the way life really is.

Other sites go as far as calling the Scorpio Discipline Legendary.

The actress Katherine Hepburn once stated:

Linda Goodman lists Katherine Hepburn as one of the "Famous Scorpio Personalities" in her book at the end of the intro to the Scorpio Chapter and I decided to do research. Hepburn may not be a Scorpio Sun,but there's more than enough proof online that she's probably a Scorpio Rising (like I am) or at least a Scorpio Dominant.

And from what little I read of her recently, indeed she must be a Scorpio Rising or at least a Scorpio Dominant-she's renown for her personal self-discipline.

Considering tge planet of Discipline Saturn is in Scorpio right now and I am now growing into a Scorpio, I'd thought this be excellent to discuss.

What do you all think?

Scorpios (Sun,Moon, Rising) and Scorpio Dominant, what do you think?

I know a Double Scorpio (Moon and Sun) witha Capricorn Rising and he is ONE OF THE MOST DISCIPLINED PERSON I MET so far in my life. In about everything from handling money to maintaining physical fitness he has so much self-control its not funny.

I myself am learning great self-discipline recently.

My sister is a Scorpio Moon (with Sun in Virgo and Capricorn Rising) and she has soooo much self-control, much more than I was for much of my life that I can't help but feeeeellll sooooooo embarassed.

So I'd put Scorpio as an easy candidate for most Disciplined of the Zodiac and only the Earth Signs have superior discipline. Though I'd rather be a Scorpio Sun/Rising/Dominant because of all the FIERY PASSION and STIRRING EMOTIONS that exist within Scorpio despite all the Discipline the Sign has.

I'm living proof-I am incredibly PASSSSIOOONATTTE person and I have such turbulent emotions in me thats just raging so hard it can't be explained unless you're a Scorpio Strong like I am.

I agree that Scorpio is quite a disciplined sign.

I have seen this discipline in many individuals with even one or two Scorpio planets and nothing more. They might also have planets besides those in the Scorpio decan/duads as well, planets in the 8th, or significant Plutonian themes, e.g., Sun sq/opp. Pluto, Moon conjunct/trine Pluto, etc.

Case 1: My grandma never really got the change to do college as a teen/young adult, so she forced herself to do a full time job and tough college work in her 50s for years and years just to get her B.A. She has Mercury, Venus and Sun in Scorpio, Sun sq. Pluto, Venus sq. Pluto as well. I'd never seen anyone work so hard and take school so seriously. She barely missed a single class and was on the dean's list for a 4.2 GPA or something close to that.

Case 2: My ex has Moon in Scorpio, Sun sq. Pluto, and Moon conjunct Pluto and was always very self-disciplined and very controlling of himself.

Case 3: I have Venus, Mercury and Jupiter in Scorpio, Sun semi-sextile Pluto, Pluto trine Mars, and Mars in the 8th... coupled with my Virgo Moon, which is disposited by my Scorpio Mercury, I am VERY self-discplined in certain areas though not all. Libra Sun and Mars-Neptune makes me lazy sometimes. But I am extremely hard working with the arts and my physical fitness too, and learning new skills, as well as uncovering secrets and things that elude me.

Case 4: Don't laugh, but we all know Kim K. has a Mercury in Scorpio, and admittedly she really does bust her huge butt [LOL] working even on her birthday - she's pretty disciplined even though she's so unlikable!

I have a fair amount of Scorpio in my chart and the approach I have to Discipline is erratic.

Seems to go in streaks, sometimes I'll workout incredibly hard for months, then stop, just bored with it.

Do bike commute, rain or shine, 100 degree weather or 18 degree weather that takes a tremendous amount of Discipline.

My best friend is a scorpio moon she always goes on about eating well and living a disciplined life. I'm more about having fun and pigging out and worrying about it later... I always force her to get two scoops of ice cream. She'll do it too, her 7th house venus in pisces compels her to please others lol. I'm a bad influence..

Discipline is more of a Saturn/Cap trait. The way you described discipline here sounds more like commitment to a goal, which is not exactly discipline but I understand why you would think so. Scorpios are definitely committed (if not obsessed) with reaching their goals.

Depends how it plays in your chart.
I'm a Scorpio sun, mars, and pluto. These planets conjunct eachother within 3 degs, and trine my pisces ASC within 2 degs.
I love working out, and always have the energy to do the things I need to do.
That being said, I don't think it's the sign alone, rather the aspects/planets/houses combined.
I agree with Hera, I've noticed people with alot of saturn placements that are focused and disciplined.
