I've been fascinated with the 10,000 hour to reach a Mastery of a subject or skill.I'm curious if that also holds true for Astrology? What I mean is, is there a threshold for a mastery of the various schools of Astrology and would 10 yrs/10,000 hour theory hold true with practicing Astrology? IP: Logged |

You mean - around 4 years, wile learning 6 hours a day?It's not just about time... and passion... or high intellect - wisdom can be more useful, but if you don't have a conceptual mind and a passion for psychology - that would be very hard... even tho you can learn almost anything with a lot of handwork - some requirements have to be met - to be able to master it. 5000 should be enough - if you have those mentioned above. ------------------

No such thing, as far as what I know. But I feel like if Astrology had revelance we ourselves would not be allowed to know about it, you get what I'm saying? Because if theres like fate and karma and all of that jazz which I believe in, then why are we allowed to have the power. I feel like maybe the greater person in our universe, like a god figure of some type might use it to mark us in comparison to other souls? What do I even know. lolIt's just a cool theory. Such as this one.

Oh I agree, Astrology involves not only the raw data, ie, a planet transiting a house or what have you. there is an element of interpretation, it is fine that "Mercury is entering your 7th house", what exactly that means is where a sort of Mastery comes from, or maybe not? You guys are taking it to far... talking about astrology from a God'ish point of view... if you're passionate about it... if you understand how the human mind works (can work)... and are capable of conceptual thoughts - very useful for gluing pieces together... I'd say - 2 years ... with 6 hours a day - should be enough to master the principals of astrology... it's all about learning the mechanism and how you can apply that in practices... if you want to dabble with all the names asteroids (almost 18.000 of them), the fixed stars and other sides of the universe ... that's like stretching it to far... that's like wanting to kmow a person from a God'like perspective... past, future and present (yes - exactly in that order)... maybe even tell him when he's about to have the next poop.. as the stars predicted. ------------------
