This is very difficult to respond to when "normal" isn't defined. That said...I know people I'd consider normal into astrology, but their understanding of it tends to be very superficial. And yet their understanding on just about ANYTHING is also superficial. Normal people aren't deep and tend to know very little, but normal people can still be into astrology just as they can be into anything else. And on deeper reflection, to show an interest in something other than a few limited topics is by definition to be strange. For example, I've always had neighbors who displayed actual flags of football teams and post signs displaying their love of their team for all to see and who make sure to wear the "right colors" (and can put someone down for wearing the colors of a rival) and even clothes sporting the name of their team or even outright football jersey, and it's considered "normal," but if they instead displayed Star Trek memorabilia (like had a pic of Spock or Picard on their window for all to see, or wear a shirt referencing a Star Trek character or even a starfleet uniform instead of football jersey) and people act as if something is wrong with them, but the ONLY real difference is WHAT they're interested, not how they're into it. And with that in mind, someone really into astrology (beyond reading what the paper says) would also be abnormal by completely arbitrary definitions. IP: Logged |

Seems pretty normal to me ;-)

I think I'm pretty normal and still consider myself a deep person. I'm into astrology. I'm not wildly intuitive, psychic, or mystical but I am a psychology major. I find astrology does, in fact, help me get along with people as well as being a cool hobby. I've gotten two of my friends hooked on astrology and they're pretty normal. Granted, they don't have the time (nor the will) to really research it like I do, but I can talk to them about various astrological things.IP: Logged |

norĀ·mal [nawr-muhl] Show IPA adjective 1. conforming to the standard or the common type; usual; not abnormal; regular; natural. 2. serving to establish a standard. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/normal Astrology's not normal. If I started to hear people talking about their charts in regular convos, as much as they talk about sports or fashion or politics then I'd change my mind. This is my stance until someone proves me wrong. IP: Logged |
