I take things personally, too, at times.  Moon and Venus in Gemini being put down tends to get to me more than anything, and I have no idea why when I walk away: how many people out there care about astrology, beyond their sun sign and weekly horoscope? Lol there was a Sag-bashing thread, and I joined in. I'm a Sag, my mom's a Sag, my sister's a Sag, my best friend's a Sag. I don't take it personally at all, and can definitely admit there's a lot to not like about us. However, there are tons of things to love about Sags, and I concentrate on those things. I'm so optimistic lol  Sure, some people don't like Virgos, but we all have signs we don't like. All signs have their positives and negatives. The problems I have with other signs are based on my own chart; some signs simply don't "fit in" with my chart, and we have difficulty understanding each other. The problem has to do as much with me as it does with them.

Also, this thread really feeds into stereotypes lol typical sag like me focuses on the positive comments instead of the negatives. Virgo people are known to be quite analytical and pessimistic, and focus on the negatives. There are so many Virgo lovers on this site but you let the few who don't like you get you down? Nah, forget 'em! I have a Virgo friend who hates the fact that I'm so flaky and unreliable, while he's too practical for me. At the same time I wish I was more hardworking and organized like him, while he wishes he was more relaxed like me. IP: Logged |

Oh definitely, Amy Winehouse, Freddy Mercury and Pink to name but a few - incredibly moving and thought provoking lyrics. Beyonce isn't my cup of tea but she's a powerhouse performer.

Funny how all the I hate Virgos posts intensified with the entrance of Mars in Pisces and conjunct Neptune. Virgo as the opposite sign is going to get the brunt of it. Haha. This too shall pass.IP: Logged |

You know... The hate of Virgos from other signs doesn't quite bother me as much as the self-hate from Virgos. There are some Virgos who genuinely seem to see other signs as better than they are or more charming than they are or happier than they are, and so they get upset that they are Virgos. That bothers me more, because every person has the choice to be who and what they are, and there is individual personality involved (not to mention the rest of the chart). I am a perfectly charming, lovely individual, and while I identify with SOME of the stereotypical Virgoan traits, I don't identify with all of them, and I can quite easily tell you which ones those are (I'm definitely NOT a germaphobe neat freak! Nor am I boring!) HOWEVER, I don't think it helps when some people on this site seem to think that they know you better than YOU do. "Yes, you MUST always be a boring critical germaphobe neat freak because YOU ARE A VIRGO!"  What they are essentially saying is: "I won the astrological lottery by getting a 'nicer/sexier/more exciting/more diplomatic/etc' sign and you didn't!" Nope, sorry... No sale. mercury plays tricks with mind, and is pretentious right? Venus is argumentative, lustful, stubborn in her mental convictions, has lack of control over emotions.
These rulers compel their foster children virgo and taurus to behave like that. But if one were to believe Linda Goodman's prediction about vulcan/hephaestus and pan-horus/apollo as true rulers of virgo and taurus, then one can hope for the better future of these signs. These are the last two signs with ruler planets with dual rulership.
I have the advantage of having a Taurus mother who is in a typical apollonian profession- healing(doctor). She loves taking care of sick people. She's tall for her generation like apollo. Is into music and arts like apollo. She is also the best at prophecy and meditation as far as i know. Again linked to apollo.
But she is forced to put up with venus' characteristics in front of most people which are the above-mentioned. In fact same is with most Taureans.
Being a young virgo i have felt the thunderous calling of vulcan. Most elder virgos have not. In fact most of the mercurial pressure causing nervousness, restlessness, pretentiousness of purity has gone.
If Linda were alive today I would have requested her to mention the details of vulcan's and apollo's effect on all of us. But she has passed away sadly.

Agreed. There was a website I used to go to for Astrology and there was a person who literally posted everyday that Leos were the ugliest/dumbest fire sign, and that sign got bashed by nearly every user who wasn't a Leo. I didn't whine about it, and in case you didn't notice, I'm no longer affiliated with that site. You can't control what trolls say/feel or take their every criticism into consideration. Nor do you have to prove yourself to them (what do you owe them?) You just gotta be awesome and move along...

I am also a huge Dee fan. & don't think it has anything to do with my Virgo moon!  ya Dee. In general I like Virgos alot too anyway and hold up well with critical people. They help slap my lazy Taurus @ss into gear.  Virgos are lovely people and are always trying to be helpful and cariing. IP: Logged |
