i would like to know, are there any placements that could dictate someone having a crush on an anime character? yes....i know, it may seem bizarre. but, ive come across this phenomenon from all sides of the globe, even from adults...who find an anime character, in this case, male (or female) attractive. what i find peculiar...is that these crushes are not just about the personality of the character, but also, the physical characteristics... i often hear that..'these characters are just perfect' and, i will admit, anime drawing can be very pleasing to the eye...aesthetically. but, anime characters don't exist in real life. i think this is what baffles some, how can you have a crush on a drawing? this is different from let's say harry potter or any other fantasy movie..because at least here, even though the characters don't exist, the human beings playing the characters do.

Well - "it's linked to reality" - that character has a story, a personality and it's representative for a female/male version from "human species" - so, it's quite possible for someone who likes animes to find a anime character attractive. For some - even a personification it's enough (like a Walt Disney character) and it's not a new thing - even Art lovers have crashes for some character in a painting. You don't need physical interaction - to have a crush, after all - this happens in our brain and most people can interact with fantasies - and fictive experiences based on a public figure or a fictive character. It's not weirder than having a crush for a celebrity - even though he lives in real life, for most part he's purely a fantasy for most of those who have a crush on him/her.Do you have any aspects between Venus and Neptune? - that's usually related to this type of crushes. ------------------ [☼ ► ♊ ... ☾ ► ♈ ... I’m kind of embarrassed to admit it but… I totally had one on Inuyasha! I guess I liked that he was this completely wild, unruly, gorgeous, super-strong demon boy with an attitude. His character is like an Aries Stereotype! Brave, passionate, too impulsive, and, heck, even his costume was red. I also picked he for a Scorpio Mooner. Along with outgoing, loudmouthed side, he sometimes gets real broody and quiet, he’s very jealous and possessive, and he’s got deep feelings he doesn’t like to talk about. He makes a pretty good fantasy guy actually. My placements... Asc Sagittarius Sun Capricorn Moon Cancer

Don't be embarrassed. One characteristic of Japanese anime is that the artist emphasizes (in a subtle manner) the little things that give life and character to the drawing. They are experts at capturing the interest of people by talking these things that humans subconsciously notice in certain situations. In turn using them again to give your brain the feeling they want you to feel.As far as characters go... Anyone here ever seen a show called Fooly Cooly (FLCL)? ------------------ Cancer Sun Gemini Moon Saggitarius ASC IP: Logged |

Yes, to me this is totally common... I have seen it many times. I have had friends who liked shows like this and they would either really like the characters in them or think they were attractive. I don't find it abnormal since such characters have very human qualities and an enhanced appearance... most of the time they have so few flaws and embody everything or most everything people want to be. The only anime I've ever seen is 'Nana' by Ai Yazawa, and I always thought about how amazing certain characters are in the story. I'm very Neptunian so it was easy for me to relate emotionally and find myself wishing I had a friend like some of the characters in the story. I would definitely look out for these aspects: a. Moon-Neptune, feeling more comfortable with fantasies, liking to get lost in daydreams and the ethereal, etc. b. Sun-Neptune, same as Moon-Neptune c. Venus-Neptune hard aspects or the conjunction d. Planets in the 12th contacting luminaries - ex. Moon in the 12th trine Venus, Venus in the 12th sq. Mars and the Moon, etc. Various combos. IP: Logged |

Its not really that odd, plenty of people fantasize over fictional characters. Aesthetically most of them are perfect and/or unique. Combine that with very human emotional characteristics and emotions its understandable. Besides anime, comic and manga characters are created to be sexually appealing if they weren't there wouldn't be such a great following.IP: Logged |

oy vay - Neptunian-Venusian placements, yupyup!lol throw Mercury into the list. it's more of a mental stiumulation combined with the aesthetics/meeting with some ideal. I'll admit my support and love for the manga/liveaction/animated Nobu (NANA) is borderine silly~ but, yup... believe his sun is stated to be in Virgo, but I'm not completely sure if that was it. =x lol Seems a bit Cancer-ish, but Hachiko was Cancer I think... hmmm... it's been a long time. XD Vincent FF7~ (anime/game character... breathes with Scorpionic energy~ though I don't recall him ever being declared as any sign... >.< not sure... Love both Kyouhei Touma, and Kaya Satozuka from Midnight Secretary~ ^^; (manga) ~ I think Ohmi Tomu did give Kaya's sun sign - but I've forgotten over the years~ sorry. She seems Piscean-looking, a bit Capricornian/Cancer-y~! hard to say, she's a pretty well developed character, well-rounded, in comparison to many female leads in these stories... Kyouhei is ruthless but deep... somewhere along those Capricorn/Scorpion -stereotypical- lines. lol there may have been others that could be listed... but, it's been awhile and one thing I lack... is a dependable memory.
~ Neptune cnj Mercury (and Jupiter, aspects Moon, Mars-Pluto *major*) authors want their audience to relate and be amused or attracted to their characters, in any medium... it's perfectly normal to become somewhat sentimental, attached to a cast or character. That's what gains them popularity, and makes the creator profit... how many animes/novels/films, lacked all of those appealing traits and became successful, which ones didn't meet your fancy... those are quickly forgotten... right!? at least that's my thought on the matter... I love writing and was very fond of anime style and traditional comic drawing when I was younger as well... I set out to make my characters as appealing to as diverse a group of my friends as possible... if they were well received, that is where I felt I'd accomplished something, truly... it wouldn't be too far-stretched to think that'show other artists/writers feel about their products/creations as well... you want something others can enjoy, so you can take pride in it too... btw - I think many artists of these styles (if not all) and writers, DO... fall in love with their creations! it's hard to see them altered for publication, it's hard to see them "die", it's hard to share them with others even... the people I've known personally in this sort of "business" (so to speak) are like that about their "babies". ^^; We really want others to like them just as much as we do when we make them... or, so I believe. <3 IP: Logged |

I wonder if it's how expressive they are? I personally find it's so easy to read what they're feeling in both how they look & sound (and little symbols they tend to use also help) and that lets us bond and connect to them, and thus can become very attractive to us (which could lead to being smitten).Since I don't crush on any anime figures (but crushes don't come easily to me) I'm only guessing. And I do believe that a lot of attraction (including lust) is more mental than physical (even physical components that inspire lust also inspire an IDEA that is what turns on the observer, and I think it's the idea of what a person is like associated with the physical feature, conscious or subconscious, that's actually inspiring the lust). Having seen yaoi I agree that it's probably a romantic thing, my heart soared to it as well. (Also, yaoi is usually created by women for women, the type of anime aimed at men, including erotically at gay men, is very different from yaoi, created by men for men instead.) That one I read all the way through had me smiling & charmed as it was so beautiful, and I'm not impressed by romance easily. The interesting part to me was that one man was fairly masculine (as far as one ever is masculine in anime) while the other so feminine in appearance & demeanor that I didn't realize he was a guy at first. So yeah, I do believe the reason many women enjoy yaoi is the warm fuzzies it inspires from the story more than the artwork (though as with romances, explicit sex can be seen as a pure bonus, whereas porn made by men would come off as tasteless mutual wanking at best rather than 2 people bonding at a very deep, intimate, emotional level). And, of course, yaoi is like so many other stories in the romance genre of beautiful people expressing their loving devotion in brilliant & romantic dialog that makes one forget the mundane, everyday world and its base concerns of getting by. 'Course plenty of women forget that it's fantasy escapism (just as many men do porn) so that they become doomed by their unrealistic expectations and thus tend to be miserable. I can see why a Pisces would prefer the fantasy to the real thing. IP: Logged |

great responses... thanks all.it seems to be moon-neptune then. at least, that is the commonality. i do think aesthetics have to do with it, also...they seem so perfectly imperfect..and, very much real. real emotions, values... i think some can relate more to it because some anime is like...real life. i must admit, my anime crushes resemble my real life crushes. i think yaoi has more to do with other things than romance. since the yaoi that is out there, is mostly by women geared toward women...it does tend to encompass a lot of projections from women culture to men culture. where...for example, you find one of the guys as being usually more feminine than the other... and, the male characters often go through things that they may not go through in real life...but women can totally relate to. seriously, yaoi can be very heterosexist. mpreg is another example. if you dont know what it is...google it. mpreg allows women to see men in a vulnerable 'not so dominant' position... and, that can be very appealing. to see the people at the top of the food chain experiencing hardship and pain of that type. by the way, if anybody wants to see created by men for men manga/stories, google bara. darien/tuxedo mask and prince demands/diamond from sailor moon for me.I was SOO attracted to them. But especially to prince diamond. And I'm still attracted to him. I got over Darien in my teens.darien was cute, but he had a douche-ish personality. But i never got over prince diamond lol.i remember being soo pisssed that he wasn't a real person.I cried soo bad when he died. And I recently watched the entire sailor moon series and I almost cried again watching him die. A part of my brain still yells at me, calling me stupid for getting that attached to a damn cartoon character.it doesnt help that i have such a wildly vivid imagination .i think this might be a Neptune thing. I've got a few neptune contacts. mars/Neptune sun/neptune and Venus sextile neptune. Maybe a Pisces asc thing too. Another character, though not of the Japanese anime genre, is Johnny bravo (american cartoon). I was idk like sexually attracted to him in my teens (this is embarrassing). I have also felt a serious attraction for characters in some books I have read. IP: Logged |

Lol. Prince diamonds is def gorgeous to me.But it wasn't so much his looks that had me feeling for him (at first),, it's more about his personality. he's supposed to be this powerful " evil" prince, with this gorgeous smooth voice. Annd this dangerous yet "calm" aura about him. and he ends up falling in love.unfortunately, with someone who cannot love him back. I have a thing for evil characters who suddenly find love..In real life though, I have been attracted to men who happen to have white hair, I recently saw a picture on tumblr of this white man with a colorful sleeve tattoo on his arm, and he had pure white hair (nicely styled too). with a nice white beard (or maybe it was a mustache) and I thought he was dreamy lol.
