You look at the applying aspects your Moon would make before leaving the sign. If the Moon makes two applying aspects - two children. An applying aspect from the natal Moon to a feminine planet in your chart would indicate a baby girl, and to a masculine planet - a boy. IP: Logged |

Only the ptolemaic aspects are counted, which means semi square and inconjunction do not count. And the inconjunction looks like separating. Needs to be applying. You only have applying aspect to Mercury and the Sun. Mercury can be either masculine or feminine but it mostly is regarded as masculine. The second aspect to Sun is masculine. You also may have more applying aspects before your Moon leaves the sign but it wont show on your natal aspects list because it voild be out of orb. You need to check it yoyself

Looking for children in the natal chart is complicated. I looked at my mother's chart she has two applying aspects of her Mercury/Jupiter in libra sq moon exact and her Jupiter 2'28 orbs. Theoretically she should have had two children but I'm a only child. When applying her 5th house (Capricorn 20) is conjunct her natal moon Capricorn 14'42. Her 5th house is opp my sun. So perhaps the applying aspects equal possibilities. IP: Logged |

Hi BlairRose To find the applying aspects in your chart you can use this free software http://www.configurationhunter.com/astrology-online/aspects.php In the 2nd box where it says Aspects and Orbs, there is a scroll down box for TYPE OF ASPECTS instead of selecting all just select applying and you should be able to see the applying aspects in your chart.

I am very curious about the result of this method. Whether it be the applying aspect the moon makes before leaving the sign it's in or the the applying aspects of the 5th house ruler... What about people who are born with all planets clustered in one sign or two? What about those who are born wit hthe moon at 29° ? no kids for them because no applying aspects possible? Why are applying aspects only considered? (and not actual aspect in the natal chart as long as they're pretty tight. Supposedly, as a woman, to know how many husband you'll have you're also supposed to look at how many applying aspect your sun makes before leaving its sign.. Anyone has tested this theory out on a rather high number charts and can attest this to be true? IP: Logged |

Hi Blair Rose I used your DOB 1st time I have to say 1st time I have seen this... Applying aspects moon sextile Pallas Pluto sextile Pallas North Node sextile Pallas
but that's it. I think in your case we need to use another method. Sorry I couldn't help. Hecate

I am not sure which method she used. Normally I would look at the rulership of the 5th house. " children are promised in the natal chart by the number of applying aspects made to the ruler of the 5th." There is a better explanation at http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/000386.html Hopefully someone will be able to share another method on how to detect children in a natal chart.

In regards to the ruler of the 5th predicting number of children, what if your 5th is split between two signs? For instance half my 5th is in Libra, the other half is in scorpio. Does that mean I check applying aspects to all rulers ( venus, mars and pluto) or just Libra's ruler (venus) since it's on the cusp?IP: Logged |
