What synastry and composite aspects would show a "Liz and Dick" type of relationship where no matter what the issues or break-ups that present themselves, the couple always ends up back together over the years?

Has anyone had experience with this?

Sounds like a lot of Neptune synastry/composite aspects with a sprinkle of Pluto.

Isn't this a Venus/ Uranus thing? On and off?

I agree Uranus/Venus lends itself to on/off relationships

I was thinking nodal connections would explain this. Not all nodal connections work out, of course. But I was thinking about how the north node in synastry is all about growth and progress. I can definitely see how north node contacts can be scary for some, as the relationship forces the node person to step out of their comfort zone, resulting in discomfort and possible apprehension, which could cause many break ups. But the north node is very magnetic, and once the node person is 'ready', they might end up together? I was reading how people with north node connections tend to 'pick up where they left off' when they reunite after not seeing each other for a long time..

And no, not all nodal connections are this way!!! I've had a few north node relationships that went nowhere..

Perhaps the nodes

I checked no venus/uranus composite or synastry. Neptune aspects the Sun, moon, mercury, venus, and pluto.

Saturn opposite North Node one way
Uranus conjunct North Node the other way.

Actually I do know a couple like this!!

Her sun and mars on his north node
his moon on her north node
his Saturn, Pluto and mars square her sun and mars
her Saturn sextile his venus and opposite his moon
his Uranus opposed her Venus exact
his Venus opp her sun, her Venus trine his sun
her mars opp his Venus
her mercury opp his sun and mercury

they break up and get back together constantly. He cheats on her like crazy, but they always get back together, and they're getting married soon.

I can see south node too because the sense of familiarity and comfort is very addictive. South node is like 'coming home', in my experience. South node is supposed to be separative, but it totally depends..

And Saturn, too; it's like glue, and the feeling of commitment and responsibility to one another is very strong.

In composite they have Pluto opposite Sun,Mercury, and square Moon.

And if the birth times are right Moon in the 8th.

Neptune opposite venus.

Uranus square Sun,Mars,and opposite moon.

Maybe it's an abundance of outer planet contacts.

Wouldn't it be more of a personal issue? Some people just have a tendency to reunite with old lovers thinking things will be different.

I thought about saturn conjunct south node.
I consider this one an unbreakable aspect in charts. Lots of issues to work out, when they eventually break up, they could come back together if they haven't worked out their issues together.

This is all very interesting- thank you! So I' m thinking a synastry with 16 neptune contacts (including all personal planets), 17 pluto contacts (including moon, merc, venus, mars), 19 saturn contacts (including all personal planets), 5 NN contacts and a venus/uranus DW might fall into this category..
