Co-sign but the funny thing is that I've never really dealt with Earth signs but I gravitate towards earth like the plague since I have only water and fire in my chart. Something about those earthy people. I just love them just about as much as my waters. IP: Logged |

My chart is water heavy (Sun-mars-pluto in Scorp, Pisces moon). I don't really a have a preference as to elemental compatibility. I have felt a strong attraction to a variety of sun signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn). I can't really say what factors exactly influence my attraction to them since I don't have their exact birth time but the common thing I share with them is connection, which is a characteristic that water dominant people are looking for. Even though none of them became a stable romantic interest, all of them are my good friends. IP: Logged |

AMEN! I feel like people are finally seeing the water/fire mix is most def that ish to me. I love it. For someone to be friends with, I like air signs because they will talk up a storm but I do tend to talk to Pisces a lot. I tend to be too rude sometimes unintentionally. But I love it. IP: Logged |

Fire + Water = STEAMY Seriously though I can imagine that combination is hard. Fire is all about action while water is feeling, sensing. Do you have some earth in that mix? It would help give you some grounding and centre all that energy. Steam rises, and that's exactly how I picture water/fire people. Balls of energy! I'm water dominant with almost equal earth/fire but almost totally devoid of air. I feel it most in the inability to control and order my thoughts - they literally spiral at times. :/ IP: Logged |

Maybe house placement is also important... my Scorpio stellium is in my Vth (Leo) house and my best friends are Aries, men and women. But of course I have a special connection to fellow water signs, especially Pisces... Cancers can be difficult to get along with sometimes.IP: Logged |

Unfortunately, I don't have any personal planets but I do have a whole quadrant of my chart (the 1st) which is from Scorpio to Capricorn in my chart filled with asteroids and such and I have a third house stellium between Cap and Aquarius and that is about as far as air or Earth really goes on my chart other than my Nodes and Vertex...so it is very low.

So... I think this may or may not be true. I feel that opposites definitely do attract if in moderation. I feel sometimes having SO much of the same energies as another can hurt the relationship or stunt its growth vs. pull it along to new heights. You want some compatibility so a few similarities are actually a good thing - like both having a Scorpio influence on the Mars and or Venus might make two people have a better love life since they can handle each others' passionate desires. On the other hand, too much Water can make both people have a sink or swim feeling together... so much emotion, suspicion, worry, intensity that they are just drowning... a hyper sensitive intuition about the other, heightened emotional experiences that may or may not be a good thing. It seems to depend a lot on synastry also, and the composite. I think Water can best get along with other Water influence people. Not even just Water Suns getting along better together, but I mean even other element Suns with many Water planets matching up together. It does seem to work out, but to a degree. Sometimes it can heighten your own planets' natures which can be complicated.... For example I am becoming closer friends with someone born less than 1.5 weeks apart from me. We both have almost all personal planets in Scorpio; she has her Moon there and I do not. We do not have Scorp Mars; I have a Water one and she, a Fire one. We have such a similar birth chart and attitude towards life that we both seem to truly understand one another. But the overload of Scorp influences meeting head-on can sometimes makes me suspicious of our relationship and it seems like we have this really weird sense of suddenly connecting. It's enjoyable but a little overwhelming at times to be this deep with someone else. We have a weird empathy that comes out when we are ALONE together one on one going out and having fun but as two Air Suns in public with larger groups I get frustrated that our Scorp functions cannot be as open. We are both Uranus-Sun people also, another reason why. We sense a lot about each other. It's a valuable but sometimes emotionally intense relationship. Many Water-on-Water relationships are like this - good intense, or tumultuous and up and down and emotionally draining. IP: Logged |

Reading my life much? Oh my, I am by percentage mostly Scorpion so I relate all the way to what you're saying. I think I still like having a little of everything in the mix when it comes to relationships, though. IP: Logged | |
