Ahem, you don't like trendy behaviour? Why not?

I'm incredibly trendy. Just today, someone actually said "you're looking trendy, as usual". It was compliment, and I was flattered! It meant I looked good and dressed well. And you know what? I am happy with myself. I love who I am, and I am trendy at the same time.

There is nothing wrong with being trendy, but there is to you, apparently. But why is that? I think I might know.

You're lonely. You only have to impress yourself, so you don't care about anyone else, do you? How lonely. I want to be impressive to everyone because I care about everyone! And I'm not lonely. Everyone will accept me while you're afraid no one will accept you. Is that the case?

But do you even want to face yourself? You know you're lonely and you want to fit in, but you can't, so you hate people who can.

I haven't even started factoring astrology in, I'm just going off of what you've said here and that one post on your tumblr.

Why don't I like trendy behavior? Because you base yourself on someone else's opinion, rather than trying to feel good just for being you. Trendy people are too dependent on outside sources, which can be damaging for you in the end because maybe one day you can't help being put in a situation where you're isolated. Also! For the political aspect... it is consumerism! Trends are usually cultivated by what people see on TV or what celebrities wear. Maybe you're not trying to be like a celebrity or what you see on TV, but that's just where trends start. TV shows have producers that want to make money and make sure that the writing isn't too offensive so they don't scare people off from watching their show, and they make sure they attract the youth because young people are known as impressionable people. And celebrities have managers who guide them to do what's best to make money. Trendy behavior is also a form of anti-itellectualism because you're developing a sense of self through society and you're not finding yourself. Trendiness is the polar opposite of individuality. And I'm not asking people to conform to my view of individuality, but rather find their own sense of individuality through themselves. If people did exactly what I did, wore exactly what I wore, listened to exactly what I listed to, etc. I'd be offended. To me, mimicry is not the highest form of flattery; it is the least original and most unoriginal form of flattery.

"I only have myself to impress" because it's already easy for me to impress other people, naturally, so I long for a challenge. When I share my opinions and surround myself with something that makes me think I usually feel the most proud of myself. I don't want to fit in. I like being myself and I like feeling special. I am sensitive and care about a stranger's opinion of me, but for myself, I don't want to be looked at as something I'm not. See, I mentioned where I was bitter because I know that there are parts of me that are bitter; but not all of me is bitter at all.

Also, trends change. I'm sure one day you'll get tired of having to change yourself in order to feel accepted. One day it will hurt you and you'll feel that people won't accept you for who you are. And it may be too late or awkward when that happens, and you still won't be able to naturally discover the real you.

Maybe there really are different types of people: those trendy and those against trendy. I don't know how your minds works but I will pretend I know how because what I'm stating seems to be the most likely reason for someone's trendiness, from a psychological aspect. You're not happy with yourself unless you're being complimented. I'm not happy with myself unless I'm impressing myself by being myself.

Loneliness is something that happens to everyone, trendy or not, and you cannot use it against me.

Aquarius is the hipster zodiac sign.

^My Cancer friend who creeps this forum sometimes says you seem like a girl who's angry over nothing.

Hmmmm, well I'm talking about you, not everyone, so yes, I am using loneliness as a crutch because I think your loneliness defines you specifically, along with your "angry over nothing"-ness. And I am not using it against you, for that would imply that I'm attacking or trying to fault you. Really, I'm starting to understand you!

So, last words! About me, I am trendy because I want to be, yes. Trends change and I'll change with them, but one thing that will stay the same is the circle of friends I have who accept me for me, not for trends. If I ever get tired of being trendy and fashion forward, that won't matter, because being trendy doesn't define me.

I can see your strong Aquarius influence. So any ways, what I think is happening here...are you a social outcast? I think you're not socially forward, so you embrace it, and try to work against society and be free. But really, you aren't free, you're at the mercy of others because you hate the actions of others, and that hate defines what you do. #aquarius

I have Asperger's syndrome which makes me weird no matter what!

And to me it was all about the politics! I take politics very seriously so I wasn't getting upset over nothing!

"Saturn Square Pluto: You have heavy responsibilities and disappointments thrust on you by changing social conditions over which you have no control and often feel you have the weight of the world on your shoulders. Your drive for power and the measures you use to attain professional goals may become extreme. You often want to control and remake the lives of others and can be dictatorial (or someone close to you is dictatorial). Emotional insecurity won't allow you to admit others may, or do, know more than you. Frustration can cause deep-rooted obsessional problems and, at times, your behavior is unpredictable. You may be an initiator, or victim, of plots and intrigue. Your personal destiny is strongly tied to mass karma. Once you learn to plan, you're able to succeed as an executive."

OP,I also have aspergers syndrome and I think its part of the reason girls frustrate you. In my opinion having aspergers is like having a male brain on steroids. Our thinking is overwhelmingly logical and we value facts over feelings. Our communication style is direct and to the point and we expect the same from others. We generally dont play games ,lie,or beat around the bush and loathe people who do those things. All of these traits will put you at odds with the majority of women, especially the younger ones.

Interestingly most people with Asperger's whom I've engaged with seem to take their own feelings very seriously.

Typically people with Asperger's have a weak sense of empathy, owing to a lack of electrical stimulation in the part of the brain that generates empathy. This makes it difficult for them to sense how others are feeling and react to subtler forms of communication, which women often use. It's not game playing for most women, it's just a quieter way of conveying things, and empathy is often the key that unlocks the meaning.

There's nothing to loathe about it. If you can just be okay with others being different from yourself, you should be fine.
