The two that come to mind:

Sun & Moon conj. Neptune in Sagittarius (pills and any hard drug under the sun, major pot-head, not interested in alcohol though)

Sun conjunct Pluto in Libra (died of heroin overdose) I think his Venus was there too.

I'm not sure about others I've known.

I agree with Kerosene. I'm thinking of another (air sign) with strong Neptune. Died from addiction complications as well.

I'm remembering Air signs that liked stimulants a bit too much now....

Thank god i have neptune with capricorn and its in none of my houses. I do like getting loose here and there but thats about it.

^^none of your houses?it should be somewhere in the chart lol.You have got virgo and sag in ur chart no?t.neptune is in pisces,watch out for the time it opposes your virgo placements and squares saggy placements.Pisces are prone to addiction,scorpio as well.Hard neptune aspects to personal planets may indicate addiction.

It's sad because I think if the Sag one didnt have such loser parents, he really could have been something great. He was extremely smart (my brother).

The Libra one was effing hilarious and probably could have been a stand up comic (my old bestie).

I know someone with a Sag Moon conj Neptune in the 8th and Mars/Venus conj in the 12th - major drug abuse when he was younger (everything you can name besides heroin - he said that he knew that that would be his death).

He just stopped pretty much cold turkey one day a little over 10 years ago, currently has a glass if wine or beer once every month or two.

I'm a recovering alcoholic and my other drug of choice was marijuana. I was never addicted to harder substances, but I've abused most of them at some point in my life.

My guess would be my Sun (6º Aries) square Neptune (7º Capricorn), or my Moon/Mercury in Pisces (13º/8º).

I know a lot of people who abuse substances, but it bothers only some folks (like it did me), whereas other people seem to sustain it or truly enjoy it.

I also think my alcoholism is genetic/physical. I don't know much about my family history, but I do know my father was a recovering alcoholic (19 years when he died), and both my grandfathers were alcoholics.
