The Capricorn in me sees that and thinks: "ah kids! kids will be kids!"...

I believe you.. but not quite as much as I do.

Would an opposition from Pluto to an Aries Venus make them more.. guarded/reserved?

Not sure about this.
I wouldn't say guarded/reserved, that probably has more to do with the house it falls in than Pluto being opposite. I kinda feel like Pluto opposing Aries Venus would bring out MORE of the Arien qualities, because it's allotting Venus the power to transform from her normal laid-back "come'n'get me" ways into an Arien goddess who takes what she wants..

I personally have them quincunx so again.. that's just my opinion on that.

Maybe Saturn aspecting it would cause that..only a little though considering I've got Saturn trine Venus almost exact and I'm still very much my Venus in Aries.

I'm gonna put my money on which house it falls in is more important.. or Maybe even Rx?

Ooh, I just noticed my best friend has Mercury tightly conjunct Venus in Aries. He also has his Sun tightly conjunct his Moon in Pisces. He's gay, and is not chauvinistic at all. He's sooo sweet, giving, and is fond of long-term relationships. I love him the most out of all my friends! lol

He definitely has the Venus in Aries confidence, but his Venus is squared by Neptune, so he's a lot softer than the other Venus in Aries people I know. I actually like the Pisces/Aries combo; the balance of feminine and masculine energy is nice.

Odette, there really should be an island where all those chauvinists should be sent! They can all talk crap about women and screw each other.

LionFish,

Yeah I was thinking about it actually emphasising the Aries qualities also. Pluto tends to make things x100 more powerful so it's gotta be like a super-Arian Venus Geez, actually sounds scary!

Venus quincunx Pluto natally? How does that play out?

starfairy,

Venus conjunct Mercury is sweeet.
And Sun and Moon in Pisces?! I can understand why the warrior side doesn't come out much!

I think it gives me that "Super-Venus" in spurts. I always know what I'm after, but there are times when I feel like nothing can stop me from getting what I want. I think it responds more to transits than just being on it's own. Ever since tUranus has been conj my Venus I've encountered a lot of changes that I have control over (ie, where I live, who I'm with, my position at work) It's like the opposition, only less consistent, I suppose.

No wonder you dislike Aries placements

That square to your DC is hard and even more difficult for your Moon.

I think you hit it perfectly when you said earlier "ah kids! kids will be kids!"

Aries (any personal planet) always seem bit "young" or better yet "exuberant/impulsive" in their relation/response to any given situation. (My mother is an Aries Sun/Gemini Moon so I've dealt with it quite often) Whereas your Cap placements expect thoroughly thought out, steadfast, dedicated answers/solutions. Not exactly an easy mix. And I can only imagine how strong Earth would respond to fire...Maybe with a shovel to put it out?

I don't suppose you ever inquired to your Aries placement people how you made them feel? I'm sure if you have they'd be willing to tell you all about it... lol

My Pisces Sun endears me to those with Cap placements. I appreciate the loyalty and realism Caps provide, but some come off a bit too serious-minded for my tastes..

Maybe you just connected with the wrong Aries man? Perhaps one with a Pisces Sun or Moon with an Aries Venus wouldn't be so bad?

Venus is in its detriment in Aires. That is Venus rules Libra (and Taurus) and Libra is opposite to Aires. The “me” energy of Aires doesn’t harmonize with the “we” energy needed for Venus. Everyone I’ve known with Aires Venus has had a lot of challenges with their romantic relationships and easily prone to break up. That said, look at the aspects and house placement for a fuller picture.
