It came up in my news feed that it's Fred Roger's birthday.
Though he's passed, he had a profound, positive effect on generations of children just by being a nice man who spoke gently about love, facing one's fears, and embracing oneself.

Astro.com has a short profile: http://www.astro.com/astro-databank/Rogers,_Fred

His Moon, Venus, and Mercury (the last two tightly conjunct) in Pisces in the 11th House seem unsurprising. His 12th House Placements and strong Pluto are somewhat more so, though I suppose they can be indicative of the very spiritual way in which he conducted his life (by all accounts).
His Asc in Taurus makes sense - many of the natives I've known have had a soothing calm about them, whatever else is in their chart.
And his 10th House Mars...well, he did have a successful television show for longer than I've been alive.

Do you have any thoughts on his chart?

Some more!
http://www.experienceproject.com/stories/Loved-Mr-Rogers/177409

From his testimony re: allowing VCRs to record broadcast TV:

"Very frankly, I am opposed to people being programmed by others. My whole approach in broadcasting has always been "You are an important person just the way you are. You can make healthy decisions." Maybe I'm going on too long, but I just feel that anything that allows a person to be more active in the control of his or her life, in a healthy way, is important"

xkcd's comic entitled "temper" highlighting an actual recording of Mr. Rogers having a fight with his wife:

The alt-text:
Mr. Rogers projected an air of genuine, unwavering, almost saintly pure-hearted decency. But when you look deeper, at the person behind the image ... that's exactly what you find there, too. He's exactly what he appears to be.

(FYI: xkcd's a comic of "romance, sarcasm, math, and language". If you hover over the comic, it provides alt-text which further explains or expounds upon that week's subject.)

Freebrainstorms - The video of him with the Senator is especially striking. The Senator starts out so combative and by the end is completely charmed.

To bring this back around to astrology, I guess that's that Venus/Merc conj in Pisces in action

Happy belated birthday to my neighbor, Mr. Rogers!

Coincidentally, I just posted about his asteroid the other day, not knowing this thread existed.

I agree with mockingbird, it's amazing how he turned the Senator around. I was on the verge of tears when the Senator said he had goosebumps.
