My moon is in 18 deg. Cancer in the 4th. My mom died 40 yrs ago and I still shed a tear now and then and dream of her. I loved her dearly. I love my home and the comforts and safety of home.I have a terrific memory. I can remember clearly events back to when I was 3 yrs old. I am somewhat moody and ULTRA sensitive. When I was young all you had to do it give me a cross look and I'd be in tears. I'm very possessive about what is mine. I will share it with the right people, but only the right people. I love the past... I read only fiction from the 17 and 1800's. I do genealogy and love it. I've traced family back to the 1500's, and I feel love for them all. Tell me about your moon and what influence you feel from it. IP: Logged |

I have a Scorpio moon like my name would suggest. It's in the 8th house and it's at about 28 degrees more or less. The only way it influences me is that I can be pretty stoic for a guy with mars in the 1st house, I can get a little bitter when someone slights me. I don't really identify with testing people, and instigating for pleasures sake like other Scorpio moon/placements in general.IP: Logged |

^^ I have Aries moon in the 4th house, too!I have a quick temper that dies down fast. I can be very impatient. I can be quite selfish and confrontational. The thing I love about this placement is that I let go of emotions very easily. I do not hold grudges. Also, my Moon is very well-aspected (trine Sun/Ascendant/Uranus, sextile Moon), and I have 4 planets in Cap, which helps balance things out. However, my Moon squares Jupiter (which is fine) and Venus (which I hate). IP: Logged |

Wow, a lot of 4th house moon's here. Anyone else interested in genealogy? I can relate to not holding grudges. I only have one grudge I can't get over and that is a family thing. My father's wife cheated me and my sisters out of my aunt's inheritance. In my whole life I have been able to forgive and forget but not this time. Maybe because my Moon in Cancer is Opposite MC, Venus and Mercury.

I have 4H Cancer moon as well Barbee, opposite Sun, Uranus, and Neptune.I think I am more influenced by my moon in the way I act emotionally rather than by it being in the 4H. I have never really felt connected to my family (immediate or extended) at all. I was obviously surrounded by them and was loved by and love them all, but I guess I've always felt a sense of detachment and never that special "you are my family/a part of me" bond that many people feel....which is weird, right, because I've got the 4H Cancer moon? I think I fit the bill as far as my emotional response to things though: I am super nurturing, generous, sympathetic, loyal etc., and people always spill their souls to with very little prodding on my part. On the negative side, I am critical and probably needier/clingier than I care to admit. My moon opposite Sun has left me feeling constantly torn when it comes to what I want and what I need on an emotional level and in my own self-awareness. I think my moon opposite Uranus and Neptune characterizes the influence of my relationship with my mother on me...she's a very emotional and irrational person, and there are some classic Neptunian "abuse" issues present. I also see the influence of my moon opposite Neptune in my own thought process, though. Often what is sane and sensical to me is completely irrational to others. However, I'm aware that I often lack a sense of objectivity and so I know how to temper my responses to emotional events (usually, haha). I do think this opposition presents emotional actualization of events as kind of slippery for me. IP: Logged |

I have taurus moon in the 3rd house. I feel my moons influence through the ecstasy I get from the simple things in life, such as: being in nature and taking it all in with my senses.something as simple as smelling honeysuckle or hearing the sound of a river or stream can literally put me in a great mood. My mom also says I always look really happy when i'm eating lol.IP: Logged |

I can see why. Were your parents separated or divorced. Some people with Moon op Sun have divorced parents or parent who fought so much they should have been LOL. I think those strong aspects plus your early home life may be why you don't have the family glue thing going. In your case I would say Sun opposing your Moon is actually a good thing. It makes you emotionally stronger than myself.

Actually, yeah. They fought a lot when I was younger, and I think it took me until I was in my twenties to realize that they should never have been married. They have a horrible relationship right now, and my heart breaks for them both...but it's not in my power to rectify that for them so...yeah, haha. Where is your sun in relation to moon? Interesting about Sun opp Moon being an indication of emotional strength. I've always felt it just made me more unstable/torn where it comes to my identity vs. how I feel about myself...I am always so much more aware of the psyche of others than I am of my own. I am a very strong person emotionally, but I think I get that from my Moon trine Pluto. I naturally/involuntarily am able to ride the tide of big emotional events and then transform and reconstruct after them. I'm a "survivor" because of the trine I think, and thank goodness for it because I have had some weeeeeird things happen in my life, haha.

Taurus is a great place for a moon. You old romantic you! My husband's is there too but not in the 3rd. He is very domestic. Loves to cook and always jumps up first to wash dishes. I'm keeping him! IP: Logged |

Another 4th house mooner here! It's part of a stellium and I have very mixed feelings sometimes. I'm very nostalgic, family-oriented, want serious relationships and I love children. My home is sacred. I study from home, do my creative hobbies at home; it's where I can just chill and get a break from constantly being "on". Cancer, ruler of the moon, is my MC, and I always feel like I'm taking care of everyone but myself when I'm out there. So I need my private time more than anything to get back to giving people what they need. IP: Logged |

1st house Moon in Gemini. I tend to intellectualize my emotions; thinking about them rather than feeling them. Since the Moon is my the first house, this is a common occurrence. There is a little discomfort between my sun and ascendant in Taurus and my Moon in Gemini. The Taurean influences slow me down but the Moon in Gemini is already on to the next thingIP: Logged |

I have Moon in Scorpio, also conjunct Pluto and Midheaven in Scorpio.I totally relate to the emotional intensity, intuition, inner strength. I'm really tough and really vulnerable at the same time. I have a HUGE hunger for intimacy, especially as I get older. I feel a lot more open with my feelings than Scorpio Moons are typically described. But, then again, I think my Leo Sun makes me sort of atypical in that regard. I think I'm more complex than mysterious. It's only hard to figure me out because I'm so emotionally complex, but I'm still rather open about those emotions. If that makes sense. I also gain a sense of comfort from my own power. Not in a control freak way. But, handling situations with strength. I know I'm very powerful, but I've matured and express that power on the 'positive' polarity of Scorpio. I also get comfort from sexuality. I am a very sexual person, although not in a promiscuous or even insatiable way. Sex, too, is a source of power, as well as intimacy. Both of which are ultra-important to my Moon. I just need to feel a sense of well-being. As do most people but for Scorpio it's particularly crucial. Working and feeling a sense of structure in my life has also become extremely important to me (Midheaven conjunction). ------------------ Check out My Astrology Blog: http://astroarena12.blogspot.com IP: Logged |

The only planet I have in Libra is Neptune. But I am moved to tears by things in life that are so unfair. Who would think Neptune would do that. Unless it's just Libra being opposite my ASC. Neptune does not aspect my moon at all. I had a hysterectomy at 32 yrs old. Where do you think that came from? My afflicted moon? IP: Logged |

Pisces moon in the 9th. I am a BIG daydreamer. I often get lost in my imagination. I can walk on the streets while watching a mini movie in my head and not get run over by cars. XD It also makes me extra sensitive and being in a t-square (moon opp jupiter, moon square mercury), my emotions tend to mess with my logic. There's always this time of the month when I just "lose it". XD I am also prone to escapism. I retreat from the world if I feel drained in every aspect of my being. This placement in the 9th (sextile neptune and uranus, trine my Scorp sun) has always made me lean more into being interested in what they call the "occult". Since I was a kid, I have been interested in reading about psychic phenomena, ESP and the like. It was only fairly recently that I discovered the wonders of astrology (I was a believer of looking for "signs" in horoscopes before I studied the real nature of astrology lol ) IP: Logged |
