Per Lotis White:

THE HOUSE RULED BY THE SIGN OF VENUS (FOR MEN) OR MARS (FOR WOMEN).

The first trick I use is the house of Venus for men, and the house of Mars for women. This is not the house that Venus or Mars are actually in, it’s a bit more abstract then this. It goes like this… Each sign is said to rule a house, Aries rules the 1st house, Taurus rules the 2nd house, Gemini rules the 3rd house, and so on. Well, if a man has Venus in Gemini, or a women has Mars in Gemini, then you look at the 3rd house for more details on your ideal masculine or feminine image. If you have Venus in Taurus (for men) or Mars in Taurus (for women), then check the 2nd house for extra details on what you find attractive about the opposite sex. Mars and Venus have a lot to do with what type of gender roles we find attractive.

THE HOUSE RULED BY THE SIGN ON THE DSC.

This uses a similar method to the Venus/Mars thing. For extra information on the type of partner you look for, check out the house ruled by the sign on your Dsc. For example, I’ve got a Gemini Dsc, Gemini rules the 3rd house, so the 3rd house will show extra detail about the type of partner I’m attracted to…. I’ve got Aquarius on the 3rd house cusp ruled by Uranus in Scorpio. It’s true. I find people with personal planets in Aquarius and Scorpio fascinating and I am intrigued by, and attracted to them.

Always look to 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, or 8th, houses. I mention 4th and 6th because family, and everyday issues are apart of marriage - no?

Also Sun conjunct Moon and vice versa are nice aspects to have.

What if I'm gay?^
I'll try both...

Venus in Libra 11th house
7th house in Taurus
2nd house Sagittarius
Uranus and Neptune in 2nd
ruler of my 2nd in the 10th

This makes sense since I'm really attracted to Capricorns and Tauruses but with a dreamy/deep side (Neptune) and a unique sense of humor (Uranus)

Mars in Gemini 8th house
3rd house Capricorn
Moon and Saturn in 3rd
ruler of my 3rd in 10th

I love intellectuals. Capricorns are wise which just adds to my attraction to them. And all those points pointing to Capricorn influences just proves it.

Both my Venus and Mars seem to show a lot of Capricorn/earth attraction, but with a watery/emotional side. Oh, and intellectual! I guess I just like them perfect.

Wow, this method is awesome. It really explains why I feel so attracted to a certain man!

Personally, I think Moon and Venus are simply symbols of the opposite person. Yes, they are traditionally labeled as "feminine", but the Sun and Mars seem so much to do with our Selfs. So I think Moon and Venus could still apply to you regardless of your sexuality. Agree, disagree?

Very interesting! I tried this a bit with my SO whom I live with.

My 7th house is in Taurus, which rules the 2nd house. My 2nd house is in Sagittarius.

My SO is a saggie

As for my SO:

His 7th house is in Aries, which rules the 1st house.
His 1st house is in Libra.

Coincidentally, I'm a libra.

None of the forementioned above rings true to me even in the slightest.

However, I have Pluto and Uranus in my 7th house. My 7rth house ruler is Mercury and it conjuncts Pluto in my 7th. I am mostly if not only attracted to only two signs and they are Aquarius and Scorpio (Pluto and Uranus in my 7th).

That pretty much wraps it up for me.

Mars: Scorpio

8th house- Capricorn, with Aquarius Saturn in it.

Venus: Libra (for comparison purposes)

7th house: Sagittarius, with Uranus and Neptune in Cappy in it.

For me, the descriptions for venus resonates more. I am more attracted to guys who are more in touch witj their feminine side. Most of them are fun and intellectual, too. The description for mars fits to the guys whom I attract. I usually attract older guys who have an intense approach to relationships, which don't usually appeal to my.DC and my libra venus.

Whoa! Thanks hannaramaa, your now like the publicist for my theory. Yeah, I always look at the original 5th, 7th, and 8th houses for attraction first. Then I'll check the Secondary Dsc, and the houses ruled by the signs Venus and Mars... When other stuff fails these always seem to hit the spot!

I agree with hanna's post from Lotis.

Also, don't forget the sign your ASC is in. Close conjunctions to your ASC can have a very strong effect.

I have Mars in Cancer

So i will look at the Fourth House, no planets there but Moon is conjunct the Nadir and it is in Taurus.

I will want a possessive, clingy, nurturing, parent-like partner? Sounds right!

I like feminine men, well ones who are connected to that feminine side, but have to masculine too.

My boyfriend Venus in Gemini -- Third house; Sagittarius; Jupiter in Capricorn

He expects women to be more introverted and more "prudish" (Well, more seemly and quiet)

Its true, he doesn't like overly flashy women.. Capricorn is not flashy at all.

Haha, sure thing! We're headed down the road towards engagement + marriage soon and we've been together for 6 years already. But when I found this out, I was quite surprised myself. Never even thought of looking into it like that

I just feel bad because you've repeated yourself so many times with this theory and it obviously works! I just wanted to save you work, Lotis.

I guess with the ASC is correct as well. My SO has ASC in Libra, which is conjunct my Mars in Libra. My ASC is in scorpio and his mars is conjunct it as well.

Besides his ASC in libra he has nothing else in the first house. Not sure if that means anything but I am a pretty airy chick -- sun moon mars all in libra.

I need help see...
I have a weak Venus (8th in delineation) and a Mars that is in detriment (6th in delineation) so the question is, will there be any hope in the love department? I mean what would be a good match... a strong Venus to counter mines. I also have a Moon and Venus square but due to my even weaker moon, (10th in delineation) so what can I do because this is sad to me, very sad to me... I mean, here comes the pessimist again smh but does delineation really matter when looking at what goes best with you?

So do I but Karka, I don't want an oversensitive parent like dude. Considering that I have parents who are both extra strict so I don't know if this can ring all the way true for me. I do like affection though.

Hi Hannaramaa

So if my Dsc is Pisces (Neptune) which rules my 12th house in Leo but no planets in Leo. Look for someone with Leo/Pisces traits....

Thanks

"THE HOUSE RULED BY THE SIGN OF VENUS (FOR MEN) OR MARS (FOR WOMEN)."

My Mars is in Sag, so 9th house; 9th house contains Leo and all of Virgo for me.
HE is a Sag, with a Mars-Jupiter-conjunction in Virgo.

His Venus is in Cappy,s o 10th house for him; his 10th house is in Sag.
my Venus is in Cappy, but my Sun is in Sag, conjunct his MC.

"THE HOUSE RULED BY THE SIGN ON THE DSC."
Gemini on my DESC; 3rd house has Aquarius and Pisces and Jupiter is in there.
He has Pisces ASC, and a stellium of personal planets including Sun and Moon in Sag.

Virgo on his dESC (Libra intercepted); 6th house has Leo and Virgo, with a Mars-Jupiter conjunction in there.
While I do not have Leo or Virgo placements, I have a first house Sun and Mercury in conjunction; plus I am a Mars-Jupiter-girl. ASC in Sag conjunct Mars, square Jupiter.

"lways look to 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, or 8th,"
only some higlights from the top of my head:

my 4th house ruler conjuncts his 4th and 7t house ruler (4 degrees)
his 4th house ruler conjuncts my ASC and NN (2 degrees and exactly).

my 5th house ruler is in a wide trine to his Mars-Jupiter-conjunction (4-5) and also trines his Chiron (3), thus completing a GT.

his 5th house ruler is conjunct my Sun and Mercury (DESC-ruler): 2-3 degrees

my 6th house ruler is the same as my 5th house ruler.
his 6th house ruler conjuncts my Sun and Mercury (DESC-ruler) (one degree orb)

my 7th house ruler conjuncts his Sun, Moon and MC (one to three degrees)

his 7th house ruler conjuncts my ASC (2), NN (0), Neptune (0)

my 8th house ruler trines his 8th house ruler (4)
his 8th house ruler squares my Vertex exact, and my Sun/Moon-mp
his traditional 8th house ruler opposes my ASC-ruler exactly

My Mars-ASC-NN also falls into his 8th house.

"Also Sun conjunct Moon and vice versa are nice aspects to have."
His MOon conjuncts my Sun by 2-3 degrees.

System had some hits/misses for me…

SO has venus in aqua, rules 11th, i have Uranus in 11th

i have venus in virgo, rules 6th, he has 6 major planets in the 6th and is a virgo rising

SO has mars sitting on his DSC in pisces/Neptune, and his neptune in scorpio, neptune rules 12th, i am scorpio 12th house/rising

My mars and 7th house didn’t make any connections to SO
SO’s 4th-7th houses made several connections to my chart

ASC signs and venus signs seemed to make the most sense
