My theory is how Jupiter plays out in the chart. See with me, Jupiter in Scorpio, I want to secure myself and pursue my desires, which in this case, is shining like the sun I come from.

I just want to understand  I'm not power hungry at all. As for authority, I don't have to seek it, it comes to me naturally. If a team leader is required, I'll get nominated without much trouble, even if am seated at the back of a room, I'll be pushed to take a position of authority someway or the other! i have a friend who is self-proclaimed mercenary. i don't know his asc but jupiter appears in first house (which looks like might be leo or cancer but i don't understand how much asc can change). grand trine with uranus and merc-mars. i always thought it was sun opp pluto but maybe this will explain it somehow. with me i think it just makes me all over the place and easily excitable about new projects with no foresight as to whether or not they will actually get done. i'm just a really easily excitable person haha
i'm definitely a social ladder climber, but i'm not hungry for power or authority. i want respect among the people i share this world with. i am money hungry though. IP: Logged |

i think of power as being able to get what you want. the people who have respect seem to have that ability as a side-effect of being liked but also, they don't really seem to care about influencing others and choose not to. maybe in having all they want within themselves. but often those who have power they seem to present an image that does gain respect although maybe only shown to the people who influence decisions. which i do think is probably long-term less powerful but, if talking about climbing a ladder is relevant because it's that kind of efficiency and motivation in force. btw my friend also has moon trine saturn and i still am new to understanding aspects together but he emits a duality of responsibility/hard and caring which i think lends itself to influencing in that way.

Are you sure about Capricorn?I have Venus, moon, jupiter conjunct in 10th capricorn and midhevean in capricorn too. People say I am bossy after I get to know them, but I am more of resistant to someone bossing me without reason than wanting to be on the head of some authoritative place (and I would prob not abuse it and be 100% according to the law). I sometimes really suck at forcing people to follow some rules, or etc. I can command authority but I am not hungry for it, I am actually scared of it sometimes, of failing it or not caring about it. Jupiter?
Jupiter is the guru, a strong jupiter makes people less likely to be power hungry. Maybe hungry for knowledge and spirituality.
Jupiter may give wealth and power but usually something jupiter blesses you with.
I wouldn't look at jupiter for power hungry individuals unless its debilitated in Capricorn.Saturn, mars and even venus can attribute those characteristics IP: Logged |
