I bet no one can beat this :Mars-Pluto double whammy Venus-Pluto double whammy Mars-Moon double whammy Moon-Venus double whammy Sun-Uranus double whammy Sun-Neptune double whammy Venus-Neptune double whammy Sun-Pluto double whammy Yes, this is just one set of people, one synastry chart. And the moon falls in Scorpio in the composite chart. I win, I want my candy lmao. My example aside, I'm really curious to hear any other crazy synastry you guys have seen in ONE particular chart because I'm curious as to how bad (or good, depending on your viewpoint) it gets... I don't know anything about synastry, so I'm sorry for this question taking things off-topic for a second, but what exactly is a DW? I've looked it up online before just because I thought it was a funny terminology for astrology, but I didn't really get it. Does it just mean the planets pile on top of each other twice in the chart? Like in this chart you're talking about, the individual charts are reverse images of one another and their planets connect twice over/back and forth? Would it be due to birth time?IP: Logged |

Yeah it's actually not a real astrological term or phrase, just a slang thing lol. I remember the first time I read it was on these boards and I pretty much did a double-take (no pun intended) and laughed out loud. But a double whammy (if I got this right), is when the same planets aspect each other in synastry. Like, the guy's Mars aspects the woman's Pluto AND her Mars aspects his Pluto, too. That's a "double whammy". IP: Logged |

Thanks for clarifying! Very cool. I'm sorry I don't have anything to contribute, but when I inevitably get into synastry I'll keep this thread in mind IP: Logged |

No problem when I first got into astrology it was years before I even went beyond natal charts, and I did it grudgingly LOL. IP: Logged |

Good Lord, I hope so. quote: Yes yes, its hot and all, but wheres the stablizing attraction that keeps them together forever>
I saw sun conjunct saturn, a saturn moon quintile and saturn conjunct vertex. The composite has moon and venus sextile saturn along with a sun saturn square. There's a conjunction between saturn and the north node there also but it's HUGE...Saturn is definitely present, as much as I hate the bugger lol. IP: Logged |

I knowwww lol. I was trying to think of any other synastry I've seen like that and couldn't. Moon/Mars, one is 2 degrees, the other is 1 Venus/Pluto, 2 and 1 Mars/Pluto,exact aspects both ways Moon/Venus, exact and 1 degree Sun/Uranus, 1 and 6 Sun/Neptune 2 and 2 Venus/Neptune 1 and 1 Sun/Pluto 1 and exact There's Juno, NN, and some stuff involving other asteroids too like Paradise Utopia Lovejoy, etc IP: Logged |

You know what the ironic part is? The first few times I looked at the chart, I was disappointed and thought it meant he'd have no interest in me whatsoever because there's almost no conjunctions in there. I always liked him but I immediately assumed after that, that it wouldn't be mutual. Recently he said some things that made me go back and look again, this time at all the aspects and I almost sh** myself LOL.

When I look at a synastry chart, I tell myself "wow" if I see exact conjunction of: angles to angles (ac/dc, mc/ic) angles to axis (nodes and vertex) personal planets conjunct the angles of another personal planets to axisWhen I see many conjunctions like this, I think that this is quite crazy. I agree with you. However, if I see tight DW`s I am also paying MAJOR attention, the more so if involving angles or angle-rulers. IP: Logged |

This is exactly how I was. I would pull up synastry charts and I'd immediately think, "Okay are there any conjunctions." That was always the very first thing I looked for, especially to the nodes and the Vertex axis. After seeing the aspect list in my first post, you'll probably think I'm lying about this next part, but believe it or not I've actually experienced conjunction-heavy synastry with other people, also. I'm not talking about mild stuff, either - I mean stuff like Sun conjunct Venus both ways, with both vertexes being activated by luminaries and/or inner planets, and luminaries right on top of North Nodes, that sort of thing, going on all at once. It started off with a bang, was really intense, but in the end things went really badly and at this point we're in a state of mutual hatred for one another. I've even had Sun-Moon conjunctions with people whose ascendant was also in the same sign as mine, just a few degrees away, so conjunct. Vertex activity going on also. Hated me from the very beginning and went out of their way to state it to me post-haste in the baldest manner possible lol. All that made me rethink synastry conjunctions. I think they're the type of thing that, when it's good, it's really REALLY good, but when it's bad, it gets really bad. Like you'll either experience intense attraction, or intense repulsion, or the intense attraction will turn into intense repulsion or vice-versa. IP: Logged |

conjunctions are not even real aspects. They are "trigger points", and of course it has to be taken into consideration how they are aspected or intervowen in the whole synastry. Also, I find that no synastry reading is ever complete without interpreting the progressions. You want to know what is going on NOW, and not neccessarily only about the dormant potential. IP: Logged |

I'm not even talking about synastry where some of the planets were conjunct...I mean stuff where most of the luminaries and inner planets were conjunct each other at once, with an outer planet or two way off on the other side of the chart. Orbs so tight that in the composite most of the planets were jammed into just one or two signs.
"Triggering" is definitely the right way to put it because they'd probably shoot me if they had the opportunity LMAO. I will say this, though - I admittedly neverrrr look at progressions. And I do mean "never ever", so that's probably where things hit the rails too in my analysis. IP: Logged |

Would you please POST that crazy synastry? I'd really like to see it. Also, I thought that a "double whammy" meant the SAME aspect worked both ways such as his mars trine her saturn/her mars trine his saturn, his mars opposing her venus/her mars opposing his venus. If it can be ANY aspect, don't think it's that unusual.IP: Logged |
