I remember In 11th grade I walked into ceramics class my friend said "anon is a gemini" I'm like oh yeah... "you're lucky because Geminis are popular and intellectual" Then she started hating on her own sun sign (Taurus) ahaha. When I got home I started researching and I stumbled on my birth chart. The rest was history. IP: Logged |

There's this one Debbi Kempton Smith book I love. I bought it at a bookstore at the mall as a teenager but it wasn't the first time I read about astrology. I went to the public library and read all the books they had and when I was a kid I liked the daily horoscopes in the paper though they are meaningless. Still, for me it's about this fascination with the unknown. Oh yeah, I also had a Linda Goodman book. I think it was Star Signs. IP: Logged |

For me, I wondered what else there was to astrology besides sun signs. It's just common sense that not everyone with the same sun sign will be the exact same. I searched Google, and i came across the moon sign calculator, and soon after I learned about the birth chart. I started researching astrology aspects and by doing that, I somehow found out about this website. That was all back in late 2010. (=IP: Logged |

A few years ago I read interesting descriptions of zodiac signs in a book on chirology. I found mine accurate and that made me think. Last year out of curiosity I asked on a Polish esoteric forum for making and interpretating my chart. The interpretation was short and I didn't understand much. I didn't even know what a natal chart looks like and what it is about. I decided to do a little research and was getting more and more amazed and fascinated which resulted in ending up here ------------------ Do you have some chocolate? IP: Logged |

The first time I learned about astrology was when I was 17 and learning the Western Mystery Tradition (along with Wicca), though more about using it in magic than in regular astrology. But as an experiment I picked 2 random placements per planet for a natal chart and it did not describe me, not even close, but then I found my REAL placements and it DID, even where it went out on a limb to make such a prediction. And for whatever reason I decided to get into astrology back in 2004, and found it promising as well as fun (I really loved puzzles back then and it felt like working out a puzzle). Later I got a new girlfriend and we had a love/hate relationship with each other and we went to counseling, but the only good was that we stopped fighting to commiserate about what an idiot our counselor was (with cheesy, pop psychology lines probably gotten off of Oprah or Dr. Phil and misapplied to us). And as I noticed a psychic fair coming through, I convinced her to go with me to an astrologer. Now I don't know if the woman we saw was a really good astrologer or just good at reading people, but she was brilliant, even my skeptical girlfriend thawed to her, and her advice was golden and it made it work for years. And the astrologer also told us that our synastry meant lifelong was unlikely so we should consider a fling or it would probably end badly and the astrologer was right on that as well. (Astrology 1, Psychology 0.) This got me interested in astrology again and I got back into it and offered to do natal charts for others both for the practice and to see how well it was working. Everyone was pleased with the insights and advice I "passed on" from their natal charts (and current patterns), even the one I was worried about as she was a skeptic AND her placements were so contradictory (if I hadn't known her at all I'd have certainly blown it). And then I lost interest again as other things took my attention, but lately I've been getting interested in it again. I still have some astrology books and got a workbook that I plan to go through soon but I just haven't felt in the mood yet. I really could use a refresher so I'll push myself harder to start again sooner rather than later. IP: Logged |

it all started with reading cosmogirl when I was 16. My monthly horoscope was accurate...and the monthly horoscopes became the ones I looked most forward to reading in the magazines. Well I got impatient with waiting for the next magazines and realized I could look horoscopes up online. And by 18 I looked at my natal chart. IP: Logged |

It started 5 years ago when I started dating my Aqua.. I couldn't figure him out for the life of me.. He mentioned to me that he really relates to the description of his sun sign, so I decided to look it up, and it described him so perfectly! That led me to start studying natal charts, then synastry, then composite charts, then transits, and so on, and so on.Transit-wise, transiting Pluto was conjunct my natal Mercury/Neptune conjunction. Mercury rules my 9th house (& 7th house) and Neptune rules my 3rd house (in Placidus) IP: Logged |

Back in the 1970s, there was a children's tv show called The Hilarious House of Frightenstein. An awesome actor by the name of Billy Van played multiple characters in the show. One of his characters was called The Oracle and he would tell a sign's horoscope for the day. He had a little Boodoo doll that he would talk to and was forever breaking crystal balls. He would say often to look to the stars. My astrological second coming was after my dad died and there were strange occurances around his death. I often wondered where this energy came from - so to help me learn and understand it, I started reading astrology books a few decades ago. Cynn IP: Logged |

It was a transitional period for me. My last year in high-school, before starting college and I just had to learn more. Astrology just seemed so fascinating at the time.IP: Logged |
