The height of Plutonic energy reached it's last pinnacle during the 1950 generation of Pluto in Leo - that's exaltation. A Scorpio Sun who was born during November of that year will have their Venus and Mercury there as well, those born early enough have 1st decan 1st house full Scorpion placements in Scorpio-Pluto decanate, there is a secondary degree in the 2nd decan after that it's power fades. The Scorpionic Pluto in Scorpio generation only lasted from November of 1983 to 1987 after that it moved into Pisces decan. Again there is a secondary degree that gives it a boost of strength by degree and then it fades. There is also degrees/dwads that make square-like aspect by degree.
Having domicile Pluto is not as strong as having Pluto in exalt. So having domicile alone doesn't make one more powerfully Plutonian or Scorpionic - having it prominently placed by house, decan, duad, well aspected does help. But, exaltations are still exaltation. Pluto in Sagittarius 3rd decanate are also gifted, probably the latest born will feel this. Having Pluto in 2nd decanate of Aries comes next after those. But, they function secondary, as mini exaltations, and still hold degree squares/falls-debilitation.
Of those born with their Personal planets and /or Ascendant within the First Decan of Scorpio, (Scorpio/Pluto decan), those born with it in Scorpio duad have the greater influence of Scorpio in their natal. We had one such person here, I'm not sure if we have any others. sand was born with Pluto on the cusp cnj the ascendant from (Scorpio decanate by house placement) 12th house. His Ascendant was on the 0* of Scorpio itself, as well as Pluto (just Pluto fell before the Ascendant node by less than a half degree). I have both rulers of Scorpio cnj in the same duad and decan.
Having it fall within the first three degrees of Scorpio it is sitting in it's domicile station exact.
Having Pluto strong by calculations such as Pullen requires analysis beyond those, since Pullen will take into account every aspect indiscriminately - but those who have their Pluto receiving that prominence based on aspect by fellow outer/generational planetary bodies, are being effected as a generation, not just a natal. Those who have their personal planets directly in contact to the Pluto (and Ascendant where applicable), or by other aspect (favourable or not - Pullen counts it), favourably - are justly more Plutonian (and likely Scorpionic).
So no... just because one has the Ascendant and Pluto in domicile does not make them the "most" - it makes Pluto in domicile by sign. While each of these other factors need to be reviewed to determine the strength of the planet and node. In fact a person with 8h Scorpio planets/stellium and those with exalted Pluto placement - will by traditional astrology have the stronger influence of Pluto in their chart.
Lexx actually belongs to the last great generation of Plutonic souls - She has the solar planets and Pluto in exalt, I believe she has other water(waters) too? You should ask her, I think. Her wisdom of how that energy functions and the effect on her generation is surely the best evidence of how a strong Scorpionic/Plutonic energy manifests. And, look over her posts sometime~
Scorpio is a mystical sign at it's very best... Scorpions are the guardians, their wisdom and power is sadly misrepresented by much in today's world.
I think Lexx is a great example of that energy, and the gifts of mystic Scorpio. I think most of the surviving Scorpion-dominant from that generation are probably comfortable within their skin, with that power - and just waiting for that final great transformation.
Scorpio is a fairly large constellation, Taurus is also... Leo and Aquarius constellations are also a pair of large constellations (this is before Aquarius was reduced to just the jar/pitcher symbol)... there is meaning to this.
And, you have to take into account with the size of the constellation, the total time the planet spends in that sign - and the number of births during that time and that era... Compared to 50 years ago the infant mortality rate has been reduced, overall mortality has declined... people are living longer, and complicated births now pull through more often... that makes for a LOT... a LOT of people in this world who have those same placements...
btw - that generation of Pluto in Leo candidates - also have their Mars exalted, and several other beneficial placements int heir chart - (something, I liken to breakthrough souls) - they have a not so great Chiron placement - but there's probably a reason for that as well. The other planets during that month and year were at least, very well placed. (for soul growth).
You don't have to go with this - but... should mention it. Most astrologers recognize decans, some use duad/dwads - some just take into account favourable and unfavourable degrees (although they are the same as the dwad in most cases, others are more medieval, based on stars *fixed* to determine the favour of the degree). I use the decan and duads and symbols, and primary/secondary aspects by sign and house, as well as constellation stars... so, I included some of those factors. you don't have to go that far - but yeah - just looking over the decanates you will see that period go from what you saw as 10 years to 4. Nov 83 until Nov 87, you are some lucky Arachnids~ Pluto in double domicile!
