Aries ASC people get me everytime! I am caught off guard by their energy because it's just so direct! I'm like, well $#!% can we just talk about this for a second? LOL. I respond much better to Sagittarian energy.

I think Aries is serious because they know what they want, b/c of that, they don't have time to "play around" and mull over things.

I am a Gemini ASC, so need to mull, talk, analyze and generally think about everything. I come off as being one as well--people have said I have a special way of expressing myself and that I'm articulate. I also am very confident when it comes to my intelligence for sure. Everything else...welp, that's another story!

I think it's your cap midheaven that makes you "seem" serious. I have that too. As well as Aries Asc, Sag sun, and Libra Mars. >.<

Are you talking about people from school or work? Cap mc will be serious when it comes to getting the job done.

ETA: oops, I see you've already gotten this answer! I need to stop reading, and answering right away, it just never seems like I have the time to read them all.

You could have a point here.

If you have Aries rising but people describe you as looking serious, that may be because they notice your MC first - which is in Capricorn. The MC is the "mask" we wear in public but in more personal/social settings we display our ASC.

And the people I know with Aries rising actually can appear serious. But once you get to know them, you can definitely see the fire. They're bold, direct, energetic, usually the first ones to initiate. In that sense, they're very different from Cap risers who are almost always cautious and more reserved.

So it's nothing to worry about!

trueeee i always get serious, regal or mysterious

capricorn stellium, cap MC, sun and moon in the stellium

however when i get to know someone my personality which is what the asc is - the personality that melds together all the different placements is aries as fuckkk

Oh my.Blast from the past.

In retrospect I still maintain that I come across "serious" to others. When I asked those people to elaborate, they said I come across earnest and opinionated.

@Barbee

I don't think I'm self centered, yet I find myself talking about myself too much, so maybe I am, but I don't do it on purpose. What I mean is. Someone will say, "I'm paying high taxes". I'll say, "So am I," then I'll go into detail. If someone says, "I got an A in math", I'd come back with "Well, I got a B but I'm improving, etc. etc" Is that being self centered or just comparing notes? You tell me. I often, after a conversation with someone will think about it later and wonder if I did talk about myself too much.

^^^This. I giggled a lot when I read it because I am very much like this.

And to qoute Kannon McAfee's interpretation of Aries Asc, ..

" tending to impose personal agendas on others, or conversely, choosing pursuits that promote and depend upon self for success.

Yes, yes,yes...

I think that when we look at the Asc, it is sometimes the unconscious "foot in the door". We are not always alert of it. And so it may denote the little things we do but unaware that do do them.
