I wouldn't say that "serious" is an attribute that is associated with Aries, more Capricorn, but it is said that Capricorn/Saturn and Mars/Aries share common traits.

Besides the cliche descriptions that you read on sites about Aries, how would you describe those that you've known with this sign rising.

Words that seem to come off often with people I meet whom first come into contact with me are ; "serious", "dignified", "arrogant", "self-centred" and "confident".

But mostly, it's "serious" that comes across strongly.

If you have Aries rising but people describe you as looking serious, that may be because they notice your MC first - which is in Capricorn. The MC is the "mask" we wear in public but in more personal/social settings we display our ASC.

And the people I know with Aries rising actually can appear serious. But once you get to know them, you can definitely see the fire. They're bold, direct, energetic, usually the first ones to initiate. In that sense, they're very different from Cap risers who are almost always cautious and more reserved.

I'd say that my Ascendant in may ways overrides my Sun/Moon combo. No one I know would ever describe me as a leader/adventurous/wise/childlike/whatever-else-you-could-attribute-to-aries-or-sagittarius.

My personal appearance has a lot of power. People might mistake me for Scorpio ascendant and maybe that has more to do with progressions?

Hey! My ASC is 23 Aries. MC is 12 Cap.

I think my Aries shows because I do everything in life fast... talk, walk, exercise, eat etc.
I have the furry eyebrows, almost all my injuries as a kid were in the head, I am impulsive and energetic.

I am also told I have a serious face. Hubby is always telling me to smile. I thought that came from my Mercury and Venus in Capricorn but you never know. My moon is in Cancer with Aquarius Sun.

I don't think I'm self centered, yet I find myself talking about myself too much, so maybe I am, but I don't do it on purpose. What I mean is. Someone will say, "I'm paying high taxes". I'll say, "So am I," then I'll go into detail. If someone says, "I got an A in math", I'd come back with "Well, I got a B but I'm improving, etc. etc" Is that being self centered or just comparing notes. You tell me. I often, after a conversation with someone will think about it later and wonder if I did talk about myself too much.

My MC is in Sagittarius which I guess just adds to the friendly vibe.

Although I have a friendly face I can come off as intimidating because I have Mars in the 1st. I've been called intimidating by many people. At the end of the day though, it shouldn't matter what other people think of you.

most people would describe me as reserved. which is accurate. despite having a prog pluto conj asc in scorpio, i'm much more approachable now than i used to be. people are friendly everywhere i go, this never used to the case, it's a change of attitude which affects how you appear to others and makes you more approachable. i grew out of a bad attitude, maybe it's the cancer mc, but people always used to be like, 'you look worried' loool 'y so sirius' maybe it's the progressed leo mc that has made the difference aswell actually, thinking about it.

When I'm with my family it's obvious that my sun is in Cancer. That's because water signs are very rare in my family; only three in the last 80 years or so and all have been Cancers. I was the only one for over 8 years since Aunt Barbara died when I was 11 and Jordan was born when I was 20. Everyone else is fire or earth and there's a distinct lack of air and fixed signs.

I think it's your cap midheaven that makes you "seem" serious. I have that too. As well as Aries Asc, Sag sun, and Libra Mars. >.<

Are you talking about people from school or work? Cap mc will be serious when it comes to getting the job done.
