Many sites describe the Taurian as the most introverted of all signs, so this could be why the Ascendnant in Taurus would naturally be reclusive.

Unfortunately , I am not the reclusive type though.

I keep pulling that joke because in all the ancient astrology books, people with charts associated with the plejades are always cast as potential mass murderers. Yeah right. Seeing since the zodiac only has 360 degrees to chose from, we would have quite a lot of mass murderers running around.

I can't even kill a spider, even though I hate them. I've been vegetarian for 20 years. I've had a fascination for graveyards and gothic music when I was younger and picked up a book on the Manson family once. But that's it.

You misinterpreted. Let me put it this way - around 1% of world's population is formed of psychopaths - that's around 70 millions, from which - around 5 million (less or more) are potentially dangerous to the society they live in. So what's up with the other 65 million (after all that's a big number)? Many people, if not most - misinterpret the terms psychopath - which they relate to murderers, serial killers and so on... and that's obviously - incorrect. Even from the ones that are potentially dangerous - less than 10% act upon their instincts - which apparently, it's also a matter of IQ. When you lack a human function or it's weaker - other function/s might cover for it and most psychopaths have an above average IQ - so yeah, their intelligence compensates for their emotional disadvantage. Another surprise (quite shocking for some) - many psychopaths show more empathy than the ones who actually have it, as - they struggled hard to fit in and not only that they manage to mimic this part, but also overdo it. At least on a public level - cause those that get to know them on a private level... find the reality shocking - to say at least... seeing how cold/insensible they can really be. You'd be surprise of how many people with a high public status, with a high position in society (CEO, President, the highest ranks in any army) are actually psychopaths. One could say that this world - the society we live in - is controlled by Psychopaths and he'd be spot on, as - that's a solid true.

...anyway, that's not really related to Taurus ASC and Algol - just trying to prove a point, as in - it depends how prominent is Algol in your chart and in what way... being a Taurus or having a Taurus ASC - doesn't make you evil, yet some with a prominent Algol - can show certain tendencies in that direction. Since i study astrology - i identified 3 such people (with a prominent Algol), something that before (astrology) - was explainable only from a psychological point of view and they're not murderers. Though - they don't have a problem with hurting animals and seem to find a certain level of pleasure in causing pain to others - emotional to the opposite sex, physical to... certain people who they show a certain level of weakness. They're respectful to their friends - though, if an Algolian acknowledged you as his/her friend - that means he/she acknowledged you for your strength - as they despise weakness. If you show signs of weakness latter - they'll start to despise you as well, though - out of respect for the one you used to be (based on their criteria of acknowledge) - they won't hurt you, if they can't see that person in you anymore - they'll try to shun you.

It's interesting that you would point that out... my DC of course has the same aspects as the AC, so there's only that rather gentle square from Venus-Merc. However - my North Node is in the 7th house at 7 degrees Sagittarius (interestingly enough, that makes the nodal axis conjunct Antares-Aldebaran). I have this theory that I have a past life history of being a rather charming man, but with a possible drive towards violence and involved in military of some sort. Maybe that's where Algol fits in. I tend to overcompensate in this lifetime - physical violence scares me to death although I have no first hand experience with it. I also have a slight authority problem with men and anger issues - but in a girly way. Meaning, I start to cry when I'm angry and that makes me even more angry and defensive, meh. And I'm pretty sure that sooner or later in my life, a partner will show up that I have major karmic payback issues with. Possibly the wife I mistreated.

One of my son's is also Taurus rising, so our "usual" way of responding to people and our environment is similar. These characteristics (I think)are probably true for both of us - i.e. Obvious traits that are noticeable to other people immediately from the outset of meeting us.

-Easy going, fond of all manner of pleasurable pursuits and harmonious surroundings. Pursuit of pleasure can include pleasure of the sight, taste, touch, feelings and mind. In fact, intellectual pleasures are among my favourites.

Oh man. My ex-bf was Taurus sun, asc, and moon... We had a really important issue to deal with and he gave me the silent treatment (wouldn't respond to text, calls, or e-mail) for four days and then acted surprised/hurt when I broke it off on day five. That made him respond lol.

I was thinking that if he had to consider the issue for THAT long, that he couldn't possibly be in love with me or remotely interested in working things out.

I'm a Scorpio Rising, 6 degrees; and it would be nice to know if they are any Taurus rising beings out there who Oppose my ASC or Conjunct my Sun (19 deg).
