The girl is a Sag with Libra Moon and Taurus ASC. She is very pretty, has nice skin and features. Very calm! Soothing presence. It's hard to make her angry but when she is, watch out! She's very artistic.. but that's also the Libra Moon, I bet. She's not at all overweight, by the way. Just feminine, but not too much, cause her Venus is in Aqua conjunct Saturn. So she appears aloof and cold very often. Not very affectionate or showy of feelings, but she loves the good life and likes to laugh and have fun.

Honestly, people sleep on ALL Taurus placements. Especially Taurus moons as well.
Like, Taurus automatically equals stubborn/materialistc. But there is a lot of beauty, glamour, and common sense about that placement as well.

Well, think about it. Pluto was in Scorpio only a few decades ago. It would make sense that the people born with Pluto in Scorpio (who are now in their 20's and maybe 30's) should be discussing Scorpio anything. That includes rising.

Meanwhile, Taurus rising? For starters, it governs the second house. It's self esteem. And more likely than not, LOW self esteem might be what drives Taurus rising people not to discuss themselves, especially on the internet.

I have had my share of Taurus rising clients and friends and they are very closed off, except for one, but she has a Leo moon, which directly squares her rising Taurus ascendant. As a result I see her constantly pining for recognition (Leo moon) but in the face of getting herself validated on a personal, self-esteem level (Taurus). Would she ever admit that?

if anything, it is a strong sense of protectiveness...and not low self esteem.

just likes scorpios...who can be very private....and, they dont discuss themselves because of secrecy...not low self-esteem.

I haven't had much experience with Tau risng in my personal life, that I am aware of, but I have done a lot of study the life and chart of Elliott Smith who had ASC at 29 Tau (time of death confirmed) He's not an ideal example of a Tau rising as his ASC was right on the cusp, but he hs his tau moon conjunct it, so he did express a lot of Taurean traits.

While it is rarely discussed, and Elliott himself never mentioned it aside from passing comments and hidden references in his lyrics, he was very self-conscious of his appearence. Among his last recorded works was a song called "Pretty (Ugly Before)" about using drugs to overcome an oppressive feeling of being "ugly":

Sunshine been keeping me up for days
There is no nighttime, it's only a passing phase
And I feel pretty, pretty enough for you
I felt so ugly before
I didn't know what to do

Of course, ask anyone who loves Elliott and his music and they will tell you he was a beautiful person. On the defunct Blamonet Elliott Smith forum, there had been a long-running thread devoted to "Elliott's Smiles" and other pictures of him that fans had collected over the years. But clearly, he saw himself very differently. His chronic problems with alcohol and drugs like crack and speed (despite rumors, Elliott wasn't a herion addict) also affected his appearence in his last years. He was only 36 when he died but in last known pictures of him, he looked 10-15 years older than that.

I haven't been able to confirm his actual height but he was likely around 5'8"-5'9" and thus considered short by American standards. He was a natural "dirty" blond with hazel eyes and a very fair complexion. He had acne scars, high cheek bones, deep "laugh lines". he idn't seem able to grow a full beard, and had very scant body hair on his chest and arms. His nose had an unusual shape which he attributed to it being broken more than once in school yard fights while he and his mother lived in North Texas. Friends described him has a "really small guy"--physically he was very small boned and slender, with unusually little muscle tone for a guy. He probably weighed around 100 pds.

He can be seen in interviews being very soft-spoken, friendly, smiling and unimposing, and was known for being an exceptionally generous soul, often giving homeless people large amounts of cash and speaking out for accepting gay people long before it was socially acceptable for staight people to do so. In college before starting his music career, he majored in women's studies and was known to be particularly sympathetic to women, especially his mother, who after divorcing Elliott's father, had an abusive 2nd marriage. In songs like "Roman Candle" and "Southern Belle" Elliott revealed how deeply he felt enraged by not being able to protect his mother from the abuse. He also claimed his stepfather abused him too, which the stepfather has denied. He had long been an advocate for helping abused children (in this spirit, his memorial fund donates all money raised to Free Arts for Abused Children)

Not surprisingly, he also had a reputation for a volatile temper, including many well-known fights with his friends, and for being proud, stubborn and refusing help, especially about his problems with drugs and alcohol. He regarded himself as having a very robust constitution despite his fragile-looking appearence and claimed he had often taken enough drugs that he should have died many times over.

He first played in the post-punk group Heatmiser whose music was very loud and brash, but as a solo musician, on his own, he turned into a more quiet, introspective artist and shunned attention-seeking antics. Throughout his short music career, his "homebase" appeared very important, although it changed from Portland, to LA, NY and then back to LA. He even tried to live in Paris with his then girfriend for a while, feeling that chane in environment would be good (it proved a disaster.) There are many references in his lyrics where he expressing feeling "apart" for others, or needing to close himself off from others for fear of being hurt or hurting them. Despite all of this, the one thing people who were friends with Elliott often what others to know about him was that he was funny and loved to make people laugh. His on-stage banter with fans was often quite funny and personable.

The one thing that has always made Elliott a Taurean in my eyes is he had a tattoo on his right upper arm, famous among his fans, of Ferdinand the Bull (you can see the bottom corner of it in the 3rd picture above), as he said he related a lot to that story--a bull who'd rather smell flowers than fight in the bullring like everyone expected him to.

Lastly, his death, although quickly mythologized in the media as a suicide, is officially ruled by the LA coroner's office as suspicious, and the case surrounding his death is still open. Many friends and fans do not believe he committed suicide. All we know for certain is he and his live-in girlfriend had a history of heated agruments and they had had one just before his girlfriend called paramedics to their house. He died from two stab wounds to the heart, and had defensive wounds on his wrists, something commonly considered not indicative with a suicide. But his girlfriend claims she had locked herself in the bathroom rght before Elliott allegedly stabbed himself in the chest (twice), and has never fully cooperated with the police. So I would appreciate people being senstive to the fact that Elliott very well may NOT have died of a suicide.
