Where is your 7th house ruler?

What are your views on marriage?

How would you like to get married? Do you fancy a big wedding?

What aspects in a natal chart would indicate a grand public wedding?

Not that I want one, I don't really see the point of grandiosing my wedding. For me it's a very special private moment that should happen once in a lifetime

If you are already married, might I persuade you to share your experiences? How special was it?How memorable an event was it?

Uranus here! I'm down for anything really. Hell one time I was drunk, I proposed to my best friend that we get married "as friends".

I don't place particular importance on marriage itself to be honest - if the relationship fades and both parties want a divorce, then divorce it up! Sure it'll be costly, but whatever, go get married again if you wanna! If it's special, then it's special, if you remarry, then you remarry...whateva.

somethingexcellentThat is so liberal.

7th house ruler(Venus) in eighth.

My view on marriage? Well, it is more companionship than "completion". I'd like a best friend to weather the storms of life. Juno is on the cusp of Aries/Taurus.

How would I like to get married? A lovely, dignified affair with close friends and some family members would be all that is needed: I have no need for bravado.

Venus conjunct Saturn widely conjunct Pluto makes me a fan of privacy.

My relationships have always been a very private affair(Venus in Scorpio) and so, I don't expect that my marriage will be any different.

I have Aries DC, i would think that would make a person want a lot of attention and to have it all...and better than anyone else with competitive aries on DC?
But i don't want that, just a quiet personal thing!
I do want something sentimental, close friends on a beach at sunset...still dressed beautifully but nothing big and poofy...just sweet and soft.
My jupiter and chiron are in my 7th, and pluto/venus is on my AC so it opposed my DC...maybe thats why i dont like anything too showy!

My gemini mars is in my 9th house...

Oh lawd.
7th house ruler is jupiter and its in virgo in the 4th house.
Squares sun moon venus mercury and asc.

My view on marriage is that its outdated and its not a priority. Maybe I would get married if my partner really wanted to and I was 110 percent sure we would be great companions after we fall out of love. (which would eventually happen)

Anyways I see this situation happening when I'm in my late 30's to mid 40's.. maybe even older..

I throw really elaborate parties so If I was to have a wedding expect it to be over the top. I would totally want burlesque performers so all the aunties will get all flustered but it would still be elegant and glamourous .

Jupiter is my 7H ruler and it's in the 8H

I want something with a spiritual experience, knowing it's all really happening on an higher/more intense level. Ideally I want a post-punk love song played at the church and a psychedelic style wedding dress

It is uber-important to know someone belongs to me and the other way round. And yes I want to say "I am forsaking all others for you" and hear it said to me.

I don't know that i could say my vowels or read anything, id probably trying so hard not to cry trying to read and express my love, would make it all impossible to hold back! I know if it ever happens again...it will be someone beyond special and if we split somehow or something were to happen to him...that would be it, i wouldnt ever open my heart again!

I see marriage as a piece of paper devised to please the orthodox, nosy, sexually repressed society and save the insecure from the 3 demons. And maybe, guarantee the gold diggers some alimony.

7H in Leo
Sagittarius Sun in 11th
conjunct mars/venus

Quite contrarily, I would like to marry some day for experience sake and also because I've a taurean partner who I love too much to lose.

And if and when I marry, more than big, I want it to be unique. Eg: Once upon a time, I wished I had an expert mountaineer partner so that we could be the first couple to exchange rings on Mt. Everest. Presently, I'm sticking to a tribal theme cause when I suggested Bethlehem, Mr. Taurus said "no!'. We've agreed to marry in 2 different ways, across 2-3 countries.

Moreover, for me, marriage's companionship and not completion. Twin flame theory doesn't make sense to me. Soul mate is a big word, IMO, that people randomly assign to anyone and everyone.

Don't you want a touch of passion with your 'companion'? My 8th house ruler is in the 7th house, may be that's the difference you reckon? Passion is linked with relationship,I can't have it any other way.

I totally get what you mean though, having someone solid, reliable, trustworthy by my side is what I would like to have too.

I read in some magazine,a billionaire's daughter got married and wanted to have Shah Rukh Khan to perform a dance in her wedding reception. Her father was ready to pay a monstrous amount of money to make that happen, unfortunately the actor refused.LOL

My 7th house ruler is Sun & it's in my 7th house conjunct Mercury. Both squaring Saturn in 9th house (Sagittarius) & Juno, which is tightly conjunct Saturn. And trine Mars in 11th house Capricorn.

I want to get married, but I'm afraid to fall in love with my heart, if that makes any sense. Lol. Idc what kind of marriage..I'm the introverted type anyway.

My 7th H is empty but ruled by Aries. My idea is eloping somewhere. I don't want it to be big and expensive, I just want to escape somewhere hot, get married on the beach, and then relax for a bit. Then when I come home, we can have an intimate reception with close friends and family. I'd like the ceremony video taped, and then played for family. I guess we could recreate the "I do" kiss for everyone. But I never thought it important to have tons of people physically be present to see me get married.

I have my Venus in Taurus conjunct Jupiter in Aries 6th house. And my 7th house 19 degrees Taurus. With Libra ruling my 11 house.

Marriage has never been a strong desire of mine. Maybe it's Venus in 6th where I just think in the long run, it's nothing more than a legal document.

On the other hand; I'm fond of non-traditional weddings. I would probably jump at the chance, however they're very unrealistic achievements. For example; a two person ceremony or elopement in say an Irish castle, or ice castle, top of a mountain, under a water fall, on top of a city sky scraper, etc. Or a Eastern ceremony. *shrug*

Maybe its the transiting Aries and Tuarus sun, but some reason I've been thinking about it a lot more. Not the above per sè, just marriage in general. *sigh* I'd rather just put these thoughts off for awhile yet.

However I'd love to hear from a Venus 12 house, or Venus Virgo placement, or more from 7th house Aries

What placements would turn you off from marriage? Or make you prolong one or rush in? What would indicate a big family-oriented one, verses a secluded private one?

BTW I want to mention I am not at all adverse against marriage.
My parents have given a very good example for the last 40 years, showing that indeed it *can* work out.

7th house in Pisces, Neptune in 3rd house.

I actually would prefer avoid anything wedding-like, just go to the court house and have the most gimmick-free, bare-bones civil ceremony ever and maybe a few days laters notify our parents and perhaps have a quiet reception with friends. Why? Because weddings are stoopid and pointless, a bunch of nauseating patriarchal buffoonery that I just don't want any part of. The reason you get married is to be married, not have a wedding. Hundreds of dollars of a cake that was baked last week and covered in inedible sheets of "fondant"? Or for a ridiculous dress that makes you freak out about your weight and whether people will think you're a **** or not? Who's going to "give you away" like you're property? Who gets to be your "maid of honor" as opposed to just a bridesmaid? Wedding registries so you can milk people you know for free stuff? And everyone asking you minutes after exchanging your vows when you plan to start being a baby factory because people think that's all you, the new wife, have to look forward in life? Not to mention all the insanely unsolicited and usually offensive advice about how to keep your new hubby happy and maintain your figure while being a baby factory?!? I have no patience for that nonsense. Really I don't. And I'm doing my best to not use a very long string of profanity just thinking about.

I want to just get the marrying part over with and done and get on with the being married part!

I will say this is very 3rd house-y of me: I want to be married to my best friend. No kids. No conforming to what other people expect of us as a married couple. Just friends living our lives as we want, supporting each other and loving each other. That's all I want out of marriage.
