Why is Scorpio considered an Introverted Sign?
This goes hand in hand with a question I asked earlier,
http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/219329.html I don't understand why Scorpio is considered an introverted sign simply because its water. I mean as my link shows, there are lots and lots of Scorpio with OPEN LOUD mouths who are not afraid of going out and bashing accepted norms and morality and even openly mock people in public. Hardly an "introvert". Pretty much every Scorpio I know are loudmouths going around in public rather easily and not being shy about interacting with others (in fact unafraid to express their opinions even if it gets them into a fight or outcasted) if they don't have an Earth Sign to mellow them down. Even taking the rest of the chart into account, I know Scorpio Dominated personalities (lots of planets in Scorpio, heavily aspected Scorpio placements,etc) who have lots of planets in Scorpio yet they are rather EXTROVERTED and BRASH about their opinions. I don't think introversion, well at least in my case, is about being 'shy'. It's about needing time away from others and focusing on yourself more. More like thinking before you speak type of way -- focusing on 'intelligent' topics, rather than talking, or gossiping about others.I'm not afraid to speak my mind/argue with others in public, but in the end I consider myself an introvert due to what I like to focus on, which isn't partying or socializing much with others. Being around many people all of the time wears me out. As oppose to those who are extroverted - they are the opposite..being alone wears them out.. IP: Logged |

You don't understand what it means to be extroverted or introverted, hm?  Outgoing doesn't always mean extroverted, and shy/reserved doesn't always mean introverted. Scorpio dominant people I know can be brash sometimes, but more often than not, they are introverted all the same. They need time alone to recharge after social interaction. IP: Logged |

Okay.. check their mercury sign and aspects to it. Check their third houses also. Yes, scorp is introverted sign, in mercury it is considered a mute sign.

Yeah, us Scorpios can *seem* extraverted, but trust me, most of us are actually introverts.. I know some Scorpios who are loud, I'm that way myself (sometimes) but don't assume that it has anything to do with actually needing to socialise lol. IP: Logged |
