My Merc-Pluto conjunction makes me

1.Hate meetings at work that go on for too long

2. Hate being in a crowded shopping centre on Saturdays /Sundays

3. Hate bad news being sugar-coated by well-meaning types

4. question the innocence of children; surely they know Santa doesn't exist?

but...you're probably good at convincing people, correct?
as in, if you have to make a point or argue something, you do a good job at it...people listen or are amazed.
i have mercury in scorpio conjunct pluto in scorpio, and, it sure helps in this department.
i think our oratory skills can be superb, no?

....or cruel.

Hello, Hikoro, the older I get, the less I feel the need to talk to people, let alone convince them of the validity of my arguments.

I find myself going to great lengths to avoid conversations with bullsh*tters. My Merc-Pluto is used nowadays to weed out these types so I do not have to interact with them.

But yes, we are good at oration! If we can be bothered....

These days, if people ask me what I did at the weekend, I simply reply that I stayed indoors and took stock of my life.

That shuts them up.

sounds like a great response!
and yes, i can relate to the lack of patience with ************ .
i think it is because we can see through garbage pretty easily...and pluto doesnt make us very patient.
your 7th house doesnt add a sense of diplomacy?

I do that myself too when I am bored. My closet has big mirror doors, so I'd stand there and try every dress in my closet with the high heels on and all.

Hi, Hikoro, my seventh house is absolutely a millstone around my neck.

I have 3 planets in there, that's 3 too many.

I know some diplomatic types, they annoy me too!!

on the other, i admire them too.
it is just that sometimes, you need to cut through things and battle.

what are the planets? i have three in my 7th, too

I do like to mingle, though. I detest "small talk" but I like a good conversation. I am rarely alone, even in times when i need it.

Hello, Orange.

Mercury, Pluto and the Sun.

Mars at the very end of the sixth house, and some astrology sites 'push' it into the 7th.

Most people tend to want to battle about stupid sh*t, let's be real here. Nine times out of ten it's a dumb ego contest, or to compete for some man or woman, or because she said that about her or he said that about her.

Who cares? I'm absolutely big on trying to maintain and keep peace as much as humanly possible and I make no apologies for that. It's not because I'm trying to please people and be liked, either - if that were the case I'd be way more popular than I am right now. I'm an Aqua riser with Uranus on my midheaven, I could truly give two sh*ts whether I'm popular or not. I do it because I genuinely dislike fighting and think it's stupid and something that you should only do over something that matters.

This is me, the older I get the more benevolently misanthropic I become. I noticed that I pretty much ONLY get cranky or upset or feel drained when I'm around other people and it's for the reasons you mentioned. All my friends have either left or I kinda just dropped contact with them and in general I keep my interactions with other people to a bare minimum and honestly it's done wonders for my head; I haven't been this centered in years.

yeah, I have that, too. I actually have 4 planets there, because Uranus is in the 7th as well.

Unlike you and Chirpy, I am actually very sociable. I like to be among people, in big crowds, the more - the better. I like meeting strangers/ new people because they always bring new experiences with them. Gemini Moon here - always on the go.

i understand.
maybe i should have rephrased this..not as much battle.
but, lets get to the point instead of narrating a novel, you know what i mean?
i have aqua mc....i can relate to some things you wrote.
ive also been very low-key lately...and i don't care.
i mean, i love humanity but...yep, some things and people are just not worth it anymore...
peace is nice.

Yeah, I'm not sociable. At all. I just have no interest in it because most people are full of crap and most are very, very cruel.

Just wait for a Neptune transit to hit your Sun, ASC or Moon.
You'll turn into a hippie - "I love y'all, warts or not". Kumbaya :-)

Mercury/Pluto exact conjunction in my 7th, only a few seconds apart. Mercury is my Sun's ruler.
When I like something, I have to have it, at any cost.
If it is food - I'd travel distance to get it. I'd eat it every day , several times a day, until I am sick of it. I've been on a green salad with cheese and guacamole and grilled chicken for 2 months now. Every single day at lunch, no exception.

If it is a love interest - I'd obsess over them 24/7 without them knowing. There will be a full scale stalking going on in the background as well. :-D

I listened to this song in the morning in the car on my way to work "Like a stone"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7QU1nvuxaMA

it stuck in my mind and I have listened to it proly 40 times today. I like it so much. It's currently still playing in my headphone right now and it's 2 pm already. Gosh, the lead singer Chris Cornell is so damn hot. How come I havent heard of him before.

How does Merc/Pluto aspect play out for you?

Oohhh...if you call that obcession then I'd be that too ..lol
Exactly like you describe but I didn't know it's call obssesion till I read your post hahaha

I have Mercury in very early degree in Scorpio (so the enery is very concentrate ) , conjunct pluto10 degree, my 3rd Ruler is also Pluto I feel my thought is deep like an ocean. I kind of like my placement because this can help you see through in all situation , noone can fool you, just a glimpse of their gesture can tell you the whole story about them, you can't go wrong with our analytic scale.

I have Aqua Mercury trine 3H Libra Pluto, and Mercury is tightly square Scorpio Uranus.

Obsession is my like "element."

I feel that I am most myself when I am completely engrossed in something.

Random fact, possibly relevant: I can listen to the same song fifty times in a row and not get tired of it. Anyone else with Mercury-Pluto like that?

aaah, you didn't read my opening statement, didn't you? I said exactly the same thing, listening to a song for the 40th time..it is Mercury/Pluto related I think. For some reason I thought I was the only one, because noone else mentioned it.

Omg that's totally me now
TNeppy sq ASC. I'm in love with people

Ahhhh you know what happened the other day? My mother was listening to a song on the computer and guess what, she put it on repeat for like.. 5 times or something. And then she said "When I like a song, I have to listen to it several times, until it annoys me and makes me sick". I knew it was her Mercury/Pluto conjunction speaking it made me think of this thread. She's also very bold and outspoken (to an unhealthy degree, lol).

Chirp, my Merc conj PL in Virgo agrees with you completely about silly humans and their drama and their need to talk about it and gain supporters against others etc. I am anti-social for the most part, for this reason, though I will be pleasant and Libra-like to all.

mercury-pluto may be an astro explanation for becoming obsessed
with a song and placing it on loop for an undetermined amount of time!
