Anybody has a close Mercury/Pluto aspect in their natal? Do you have an ubber obsessive mind, or is it just me that feels that way. Mercury/Pluto exact conjunction in my 7th, only a few seconds apart. Mercury is my Sun's ruler. When I like something, I have to have it, at any cost. How does Merc/Pluto aspect play out for you? I hate that I tend to do that a lot. Someone would cross me - and I'd cut the tie with them. No advance notice. Some of them even have no clue what happened and why.

I haven't seen that.. must be the Neptune fog! I hope you forgive me! Plutonians have this tendency, to just cut ties if someone betrays them, but sometimes they overreact and make hasty decisions, I'm that way myself but working on it.
Are you guys either super talkative or super quiet? Like an all or nothing attitude when it comes to talking/communication?

Occasionally it depends on the audience. I know in certain situations to not push the envelope too much, my family is pretty familiar with my "cutting through people like a knife" moments ever since I was a kid. Overall for some its more entertaining I say the very thing their thinking but afraid of saying out loud. It takes for me to really get agitated to sock it to someone. IP: Logged |

I have the two in aspect (quintile) and yeah, a lot of the initial post rings true, although I'm actually a bit worse than that. I have Pluto in the eighth so that probably intensifies it also along with a lot of placements in fixed signs, but actually it's a blessing because with Mercury and Uranus both angular, I'd probably never stick to and finish anything if it weren't for the more obsessive-compulsive aspects of my chart.Another side effect is that my communication apparently has a strong effect on people. I get told alot that I either : talk/text/communicate too much; or, by others, that I'm TOO quiet and too "secretive"; or, apparently I come across way more strongly with my words than is my actual intent. One day I was angry with my sister and fired off a quick email rant to her and thought very little of it after that and was genuinely surprised that she seemed to be holding a grudge over it. My brother said it was brutal too, and I honestly don't see it because in fact, nine times out of ten when I'm interacting with people I actually censor the cr.ap out of what I'm saying and pull back alot, like "I'm only operating at a Level Four and you think it's Level Eight I'd hate to see how you'd react to me when I'm on Level Ten." Even with individuals I have genuine beef with and dislike, I hold back on them and I'm always amused when they run away shrieking like I just verbally disemboweled them when they just got what equates to a slap on the wrist. In general the way I think and express myself usually is overwhelming to people in one way or another. I don't think I've ever really encountered anyone that can meet me at that particular level of intensity and tolerate it well for long periods, and I've known plenty of people with heavy 8th house/Scorpio/Pluto activity in their chart. Even they can't keep up. IP: Logged |

A quintile wouldnt make you so abrasive. Must be something else in your chart. Do you have Mercury/Mars square? I dont think anyone can handle what you described in your post for long. It's pretty damn exhausting and annyoing in the long run. I, myself, am usually a sweet tallker, i have a nice Moon/Venus trine, makes me nice and appreciative. Until someone step on my toe and then RAWR IP: Logged |

Actually no I don't have Moon-Mars, which kind of supports my next point - I'm not abrasive. People interpret everything I say as abrasive in intent, which is something differently entirely, and I blame this aspect for that.
Whether or not intensity is annoying and exhausting probably has more to do with individual natal charts and synastry than any objective astrological basis. To my ex with a fifth house stellium in Gemini (yes, really), I was absolutely too much - his primary complaint was that he felt obligated and burdened and like being with me wasn't any "fun". It was less that than just general incompatibility; with my first ex this wasn't an issue, because he's pretty Plutonian himself, with Pluto conjunct his Sun. Going "there" wasn't the issue with him; other factors ultimately broke us up. My Mercury has no frilly aspects to it barring a minor hard aspect from Neptune, and all that does is make me daydream too much like Walter Mitty. The rest of my aspects are pretty much straight-shooter things like Saturn sextiles, I couldn't bulls.hit anybody even if I wanted to, and I've tried to sweeten/lighten up my communication with people before and when I finished I realized I'd given myself a headache and gave up on that. sag mercury conjunct scorpio plutoI'm generally sweet but when i'm angry, i'm more than cruel. I dislike diplomats and butt kissers. The out of sign conjunction makes me slightly obsessive. I day dream about upcoming trips, crushes & prospective partners. I, sometimes, wear everything from my wardrobe and stand in front of the mirror for hours together...this can happen everyday, if i've nothing to do. But i'm very vocal about my feelings. my crushes and everyone around always know who i'm crushing on. It's difficult to keep anything in the stomach. My life story is an open book that anyone and eveyone can read. Secrecy is beyond my understanding.

Yes, I can be obsessive. I find it helps me learn new skills quickly! But once I have mastered those skills I tend to get bored and need to move on to a new challenge.I have Mercury, Saturn and Pluto conjunct in late Libra. IP: Logged |

It is a very tiring placement, in my opinion. The constant thinking and analysing just makes me want to crawl into bed and sleep it off. Oh, the joy of being able to forget! IP: Logged |
