HiLibra Sun, moon mars here I think with the whole "not meaning what we say" is more about our charm. Sometimes we can be charming in what we say but whether or not we are serious about it is another topic.. If it's anyone, I would say we Librans wouldn't start fights just for the sake of starting fights and ending it. If anything, we don't like confrontations and conflicts! My bf is a Libra ASC, and on top of that a Sag Sun, so yes -- He does have the tendency to be stubborn in the way he views things. He sees only what he wants to see and yes it can get a little annoying...even for me, but I have ASC, Merc and Venus in Scorpio so...My bf likes to be vague and mysterious at times..but I dont know if that's cuz of his Mars conj Pluto in scorpio 1H.. My ex had a strong Libra influence. He was a Libra Ascendant, Virgo/Libra Sun cusp (29 degrees Virgo), Libra Mercury, Libra Mars and Libra Jupiter. He was incredibly charming, pleasant, sociable and had a great sense of humor. He never yelled and was never mean or spiteful. Even when he made snarky jokes or comments they sounded elegant and diplomatic. However he wasn’t very deep or at least he wasn’t concerned with profundity (Sagittarius Moon). He was by no means shallow, just uninterested in anything too heavy or too serious (I’m a Scorpio dominant and this wishy-washy attitude bothered me). Note that his Mercury, Mars and Jupiter were in the 1st House. This made a very interesting type of behavior. He was assertive but in a very indirect way. He always had the last say and he initiated action and made decisions. A more gullible person would totally be controlled by his every whim without even realizing he’s being bossed around. My mother has Moon, Mars, Jupiter and Uranus in Libra (8th House). She’s also incredibly charming and can get people’s attention without trying. She’s a big flirt and I know that when she was young guys would fall head over heels for her (she also has Venus in Aquarius in the 1st House). She DESPISES vulgarity and often chastises me for my sharp tongue and dark jokes. Sometimes she attracts people who she doesn’t really care about. They constantly want to hang out with her but she rejects them because she doesn’t find them interesting and can’t fathom why they liked her in the first place. One bad quality she has (I don’t know if it’s from Libra, it seems more Gemini to me) is that she’s a bit two-faced. She’s always nice and pleasant but her real opinion of you may be something else entirely. Another thing is that she’s not assertive like my ex. She can’t stand confrontations, she often complains to me about my dad’s bad habits and when I ask her why she doesn’t call him out on it she says she can’t’ be bothered to argue with him. She’s a Sagittarius Sun. I have Mercury in Libra (6th House) which is also my chart ruler. What I think and what I say are very different things. I always try to be nice and not insult anyone but I often get the urge so be aggressive because I can’t tolerate ******** . Unfortunately most times I keep it to myself. I’ve been told I have a sharp tongue but I use it only with people I know well. I can’t fight or argue with strangers or people who aren’t close – this especially goes for classmates.

Sounds a bit like my boyfriend...not shallow but light hearted and humorous...but I've always thought it was the Sag in him that made him that way. On the other hand, I'm a libra with quite alot of scorpio traits, therefore, I am more the opposite -- profound and deep but at times I do notice myself going back to some "shallow" libra traits. That’s a thing I’ve noticed with Libra. If the person is intelligent and mature they aren’t shallow as a person, they just prefer to keep things light. They can be serious and dig deep if they need to but they just prefer not to. It’s much more comfortable for them on the surface of things. That’s the antithesis of Scorpio. Scorpio likes it in the deep and feels uncomfortable on the surface. Scorpio can be light-hearted and “immature” but it just feels wrong to them. They get very little satisfaction from it. It’s also much harder for Scorpio to shift between the two because he’s fixed. Libra is air so he’s much more flexible. In fact I might just go as far as to say that Scorpio thrives on drama and darkness – when he’s too happy, he’s not happy.

I feel like Librans do not intentionally rile people up by snickering or being rude on purpose unless something else is going on in the chart. Aries influences, Mercury-Mars, something Sagittarius like Merc,, rising in Sag? I'm a Libra Sun and I feel like teasing people is something that my Sag rising is prone to do now and again, but I am usually more concerned about keeping the peace than making situations worse so I wouldn't try to seem like I wasn't being mean by making a snide comment and snickering. I would try to say it in the politest way possible. What you're dealing with here sounds like Aries Merc, Merc-Mars perhaps, Sag. Merc, or some sort of Aquarius issues [think Aquarius Mars touching Merc, etc.]... in fact I know an Aquarius afflicted person with Aqua Mars sq. Merc and they actually DO what you described which is laughingly be mean - as in, covering up meanness by being an idiot and laughing and being goofy and man does it tee me off. It's bad. Everything in the post is soo true. As a Scorpio moon how do I deal with conflict with my Libra asc/Libra moon boyfriend? Every serious talk we have, he just looks so uncomfortable and I just give up because I know his heart isn't in it. When there's a problem I'm not afraid to face it while he on the other hand likes to gloss things over or pretend they're not there. IP: Logged |

Another thing I've noticed is that Libra has a hard time being straightforward. They seem to go around and around and around things until you're on a completely different subject. Many of my coworkers call our Libran manager phony she'll be betchy and rude then will pat your back with a smile as if to soften the blow. Ughhh this drives me mad. If you're going to be a betch, be a betch and go on with your day. It's like, you know you're being mean, why are you trying to cover it up with charm and smiles... IP: Logged |

Does he agree that they things you see as problems ARE problems? Maybe those things aren't problems to him? Also, each sign can be different depending on where the ruling planet is located both by sign and by house. For instance, a Capricorn with Saturn in Pisces in the 7th would be different from a Capricorn with Saturn in Aries in the 4th. Where is your bf's Venus by sign and by house? IP: Logged |

How are you gonna start an argument or a debate and not expect anyone to disagree with you? I don't get it...
Aries are dramatic. Always remember they are right and you are wrong!!!

I hate aries men. I always fight with them.Heres a perfect example: Aries is a sheep, I mean a Ram. Sheepishness is not in Aries' nature (see Pisces). Butting-headedness is. Sheep say Baahhh. Rams say Baaahhkkk OFF - and you'd better... those horns inflict pain! Every Aries is pushy and knows everything, and they always cut in line....stomp, stomp, trample, trample, get ahead, come in first - yep, just get out of the way, okay? Aries is ruled by Mars, god of "I Win, you Lose". http://www.mooncatsastrology.com/fun/funnysigns.htm IP: Logged |

That is a thousand times true, Goatcat, and I know it drives other signs crazy because my friends have told me before, they hate my indirectness. They want me to just stay stuff but I never do. I like to be as indirect as I can and get a lot out of that sort of thing. I also appreciate the same quality in others. Sometimes, I chafe under the bluntness of others and long for them to be a bit more subtle.

i have 7 planets in libra and am often accused of not being straightforward. it's more about trying to 'soften' things or find the right way to say something. i'm in a supervisory position too, and do have that love/hate relationship with people; i can be nice to them and mean as well - libra is social and inclined to gossip. also, as a libra I always try to find a tactful way of saying things, and do tend to beat around the bush when I need to ask for something or especially if I want my way.
