In Vedic,those born in Tula lagna has three possible nakshatras, Chittra,Vishaka and Swathi.Although it's not an inherent characteristic of all Librans(depending on other placements and the nakshatra sign in which the lagna falls) most of them have a strong desire to please people around them so much that they lose their objectivity ,AND they experience a need to be loved and to be praised by others.I have 2 ''friends'' with Libra rising therefore not a good representation of the Librans to set a pattern.Although they both have an annoying tendency to steer the convo to the ''things they've done''... If Saturn is in aspect with Venus being their chart ruler,the desire to ''show'' how good they are will be even stronger.If Jupiter is in aspect with Venus,the desire to please everyone around will be stronger.IP: Logged |

Okay... just curious, but why did Saturn and Jupiter factor into the mix? Did you do so because they're collective planets? IP: Logged |

The 3rd pada of the nakshatra sign Chittra falls in Tula - Libra. A lagna that falls in this pada will love to flaunt and dazzle. Saturn,Mercury and Venus are strongly associated with this pada.The tendency to show off will be stronger if in aspect with these planets. If you wish to see a pattern, you would have to find out the padas of every Tula lagna you know  I bet you will see a pattern. IP: Logged |

Well, when I first said I've noticed a pattern, I wasn't looking for one. It wasn't any sort of experiment. I entered birth date information (and found out birth times in conversations) and noticed that those whom I knew who had Libra rising had this "trait" about them. If they were a friend, kind of like a friend who can get on your nerves when this trait surfaces, and the best way to deal with it is just wait out the storm (aka, the good outweighs the "bad"). But as far as actually spotting a pattern given the new info you've given me, I'll be curious to see. IP: Logged |

I know two Libra risings and they do have a good dose of self-esteem. However they don’t brag! They keep it to themselves and most people won’t notice it unless they (the Libras) get insulted or criticized. When their ego is bruised you can see that they take it personally and don’t like being in the wrong. I don’t think this only applies to the ASC. In fact I see this more in Libra dominant people rather than only in Libra rising. IP: Logged |

Libra rising here.
I'm definitely not full of myself, in fact, i always try to stay humble.. in my thoughts, words and actions. Don't like to brag either.I also know 3 other people with Libra rising and they too aren't full of themselves. In fact, one is very very selfless. He always thinks about the less fortunate people and he wants to help them. =) There goes your pattern... IP: Logged |

I haven't noticed this tendency in Libra risers so much as in Leo.I actually quite like most Libra risers. It's the only Libra placement I really jive with all that well. ------------------

lol possibly, except I said this at the beginning: "Every person I've known who has Libra rising is--one way or another--completely full of themselves, drawing attention to themselves, or their actions, how great they are, "look at what I've done for others," etc.

12th Houser, the irony here is YOU'RE THE ONE WHO HAS DRAWN ATTENTION TO IT. Not Libra rising. So what if one does a good thing for another, the only one tooting their horn here is you by putting that in your post, right? Riiiiight. Libra rising is no worse about this stuff than other signs. The person I'm talking about doesn't TALK about what he has done to other people, I just can see his concern towards the less fortunate people in his behavior and his way of thinking. :/ so yeah your portrayal of the libra rising is still off, sorry.IP: Logged |
