Oh yes, I have. There's no hard and fast rule that the latter is better than the former. TBH, it happens that I meet better human beings among the former. The latter is more focused in enriching themselves. Again my perceptive may be different from yours. However,I wouldn't define an educated person by their degree. Some people made it only to high school and they are financially successful in what they've chosen to be in life,vs some people who are still unemployed with a MBA in their pockets.Hard reality of life.
I'm not saying that a degree equals= infinite wisdom. You can educate yourself too. Fyi and MBA is nothing unless you have another degree like Engineering for example.

Not restricted to engineering,an undergraduate degree would suffice.A Masters in Business Administration entry requirements cover that technicality anyways.IP: Logged |

That's me. I know I could do much better if I wanted to, but I'm lazy when it comes to studying. It's definitely a lack of motivation. I think Jupiter may have something to do with it - mine conjuncts Venus and trines Saturn, so I'm not into hard work at all. I often expect things to go smoothly because I rely on my "natural" skills. My Mercury is not afflicted. One friend of mine is very successful academically, one of the best students (in a medical field!), she has Mercury in Pisces conjunct Sun, Venus and Saturn, widely square Pluto and widely trine Jupiter, and trine MC. Very hardworking and focused.. the opposite of me.

^^ Yeah a lot of people I know who are doing a MBA have another profession degree or majoring in one. You'll mostly likely get a high postion with an mba if you have many specialized degrees in your pocket. Like my cousin who did biochemical engineering, medicine, law and finally a MBA has a really high postion in a medical company that helps to produce the lastest prosthetic technology for amputees. He's actually doing something that benefits society. Not sure about the details, i just know he was always studying since I was a baby lmao. IP: Logged |

Story of my life. I feel that I would also have done better if I had studied harder. Even right now as I'm reviewing for my licensure exam, I totally lack motivation. I have an afflicted mercury (moon-merc-jupiter t-square) but I don't blame it on that though. I just wish I could compartmentalize this gurgly mess of emotions somewhere else so I could be more motivated But oh well, no time for regrets now. Graduating isn't the end. It's only the beginning and I still have a LOT of chances to work harder IP: Logged |

In my society, education is a great deal and people tend to be judged upon how many degrees they obtained. The first thing a man asks a guy who wants his daughter's hand in marriage whether he is educated or not and if he has a degree in something. My country has been going through a massive economic crisis since years and most people who work in self-employment industries that do not require education but skill went bankrupt while doctors, lawyers and teachers remained relatively " safe" thanks to the government and the law. So people have developed this idea that the best way for someone to secure his/her financial future,he/she needs to get a specialized degree in something so at least he/she still has a back-up plan to lean on if things get worse in the self-employment/private sector.------------------ Virgo Ascendant Libra Moon Sagittarius Sun Massive 3rd House Stellium IP: Logged |
