It's easy to think of the earth as a larger, grander version of the moon though, if we were no longer here and living far away. The moon rules Cancer, sign of the home, food, comfort, nurturing, caring for the young so they can survive, kind of like the role earth plays now. If we didn't live here, we would attach to it the same ideals as Cancer and the moon so earth could be like them, Kero, taking on the same meaning. Who knows, maybe earth's moon would be forgotten just like astrology doesn't take into consideration the moons of other planets, besides earth, though it would be neat if it did. Not sure how that would work exactly. New home planets would havet their own moons and if humans inhabit a moon at some point, the planet it revolves around would be like a mini version of the sun, maybe, just not so warm in bright. In fact, it could be quite cold if it's far enough away from it's star. Mars moon meanings kinda go well with Martian mythology, somethingexcellent! IP: Logged |

^^ I love everyone you wrote.."Mercury is the walls, Venus is the paint, Earth is the furniture. The house itself is the Sun." That was cute. I agree those two moons can over take mars energy. Lets just set up martian astrology already!!!!!

I guess I only said that because in astrology we don't interrupt the moons of other planets. ANOTHER THEORY. that went along with what you said. The moons represent the energy of that planet.... Mind blown. The moons are like satellites, right? They send out the planets signal or vibrations to the surface. So the moon represents what the earth is. Mars moons represent what mars is all about. Venus does not have a moon because it's inhospitable, same with mercury.. Possibly planets with moons are capable of being hospitable to certain beings..... Maybe gas planets can be home to certain types of sentient beings. Okay nevermind.. too far fetched now. IP: Logged |

Yes, Jupiter, the most powerful god in Roman mythology, is also the name of the planet with the most moons, right? This is prime example of moons taking on the energy of a planet. Jupiter controlled many gods and demi gods therefore it has many moons revolving around it. Then there's Saturn... IP: Logged |

I wanted to see it, but I heard it sucked.. Aphrodite is my favorite greek god, I always like to see how she's represented in movies, so I have to check it out.I really wish I was born hindu just cause of the gods... Plus it's very greek like, very free liberating yet powerful and binding. My mom is indian but my dads mother wanted me baptized and raised catholic. -_-.. I just wish I got to take part in hinduism as a child, if that makes sense... Honestly now, I can't actually follow it because I've been conditioned to be skeptical. I can't take religion seriously. Anyways back to space/martian astrology. IP: Logged |

I know what you mean, I have always been captivated by gods and goddesses of all religions. Fascinating stuff! Religion intrigues me, but I'm like you. I look at it in a detached way, like it's entertaining stories and I marvel at how long they have lasted, through thousands of years. That's staying power!Anyway, back to Mars Rovers, lol! Imagine what it would be like seeing two small moons in the sky at night instead of one or looking and seeing earth from Mar's surface at night shining like Mars does for us now. Also, pretty sure Mars has plenty of canyons more dramatic in scope than the earth's. IP: Logged |

During the super moon I was telling my friend, I wish the earth had two moons.I was also taking to my mother about the moon and she said when she was a child the moon was so much larger. She is right the moon is drifting away from us, slowly. I wonder what that would mean astrologically. Maybe it's the earth is saying, You have to leave the nest, I can't coddle your species forever.. Besides we're destroying her. I actually think our species belongs in space. We get too destructive when we have nothing to explore.. We can't afford to be spoilt in space.. I am worried a little bit about phobias and deimos, they are very destructive too when it comes to mythology. Martial terrestrial life will not be easy even with the technology. Perhaps humans will follow a very spartian way of life. You will have to be very disciplined to survive LOL. I just really hope they prepare these astronauts with every possibility. Also the martian year twice the length of earth... Can you imagine the astrological significance... IP: Logged |

We might only have birthdays once every two years! You are right about humans needing to explore new places this is why I look forward to them entering space because humans will never become bored out there. It's the perfect environment for us as far as always having something new to find. The super moon was beautiful, loved how clear and three dimensional it looked - very bright! One day it will just jettison into space, won't it? We'll probably be throughout the universe by that time...destroying everything in our path. Just imagine! Nothing will stop humans from doing that since space is so vast, the mindset will be about just going someplace else once a place is nearly ruined or drained. It's exciting thinking about what's out there. Many systems are binary, any planets in the Goldilocks would see two suns instead of just one, and more than one moon, maybe?

I know humans are parasitic like that LOL... imagine if we find new worlds with sentient beings not as advanced like us, we would be the evil aliens like in Avatar LMAO.The moon was beautiful. I know, once it the super moon was out until 6:45 in the morning just before the sun was about to rise, It was so beautiful with a pink and purple pastel sky.. I think the sun rise is far more beautiful than a sunset. Okay Im biased because I was born around 5:am.. Ugggh yeah, what I would give for immortality so this incarnation can see/experience the advancement of human kind.... I'm not afraid of dying fyi, I just don't want to start over... It's just not fair, I want to see goldilock worlds. -_-.. I guess we would have to follow martian universal time.. (longer seasons) So human life would be much shorter, according to martian time... That kinda sucks. People would be less individualized because people born in the same day (earth day) will likely have the same asc.. wait... how would that work exactly.. maybe it would average out. I wonder what astrology would be like for the astronauts living on the surface.. Would their birth sun sign still be the same? IP: Logged |

That's what I thought, Kero, you read my mind. Wonder what humans are going to do to that world? Shouldn't it have a chance to evolve or, is there really such a thing? Does anything really get to, or is everything always at the mercy of some other force and it's all just a grand delusion, we have the right to anything and everything if we can get it? I was born at 9:36 in the morning but I love evening most of all because I have Libra rising, it's supposed to be the sun set, like the seventh house, the one it rules, is where the sun sets in the evening, so, you could say I am partial to those. I believe you when you type that moon was majestic, though, what a sight! I love full moons and you describe it so vividly and so well! I saw it at night, not in the morning and was very impressed with it. I also like the full moon when it's very large and low in the night sky but it's always kinda sallow. I also like that my birthday is usually around the harvest moon. Astronauts living on Mars would have to figure things out from the Martian perspective. Wouldn't the sidereal time be totally different? What about the location of the constellations and the ecliptic? It would probably be different, the stars would not be in the same locations. Anyway, about to go to sleep, catch you tomorrow, Kero, goodnight! IP: Logged |

Seems like once humans are able to pass this one obstacle, interstellar space travel, they will be free to be their greedy selves, without any sort of reprimand. Space is so vast, there will be very little complaining about any slothfulness or refuse. Mankind will be truly liberated in that sense, once they make the jump to light speed. The nomadic lifestyle suits the species imo.Just need to make sure there are ways to develop immunity or might end up like WOTW or something...kinda weird thinking one day humans will evolve into something like these aliens Humans will be happiest at this point.
