Interesting. Remember that Sag guy who was a jerk, but whom I kept obsessing over? He had this very problem you mention. He drank a lot, too, and yep... Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. However, he was conscious of this fault in his personality. Still annoying though because everyone else would act like he was fine, LOL! Maybe they only show those sides to people they feel close to and trust? (The eternal optimist in me.)IP: Logged |

Mutable energy is kinda unstable so it could seem especially strange to cardinal signs in particular. It's sorta like the opposite of Cardinal. It's not nearly as focused. Now I remember an experience that reminds me of what Odette posted...when I was younger, I was at my friend's aunt's house and they were playing quarters and similar games. I kept losing so I had to drink up soon I was very wasted. I got into an argument with somebody there and left, went to a store where another friend worked. Next day he told me I looked completely different drunk, like a totally different person, he would not recognize me. My sun sign is Virgo. Is this the type of thing you are referring to, Odette? If so, then I sorta know what you are talking about but it didn't change my personality forever. I think it's because mutables can feel the effects of substances at a more intense level. I even feel strange after eating certain foods. Coffee is like a drug for me. This is why I steer clear of substances for the most part. Physically, they have a pronounced effect on how I feel. I'm floored. I didn't think anybody else had had his experience. My ex had done ecstasy all throughout high school and now is addicted to weed. His personality chanfes were so disturbing I felt like he morphed into a different person many times in a day. But nobody else seemed to notice, and it was so frustrating.Stay away from drugs, kids. Hmm...I know/have known many drugs users..including myself...including many mutable signs (especially Pisces)..and I have not really seen what you are talking about. Maybe it's your own perceptions that are skewed, and not them?IP: Logged |

OH MY GOD. You guys!!!I am pretty creeped out right now and I have to share this with you. I've read more about the Ted Bundy story - his background, the trials, the murder scenarios etc . I've never actually sat down and read about this in detail. I only knew the 'big picture' - the things we all might've heard. I stumbled upon his case - when I was looking up an article on Venus retrograde (which he had in his natal). It was incidental that I started reading about him. Long story cut short - the reason I am so creeped out are the following quotes from his wiki page: quote: Other significant obstacles for law enforcement were Bundy's generic, essentially anonymous physical features,[273] and a curious chameleon-like ability to change his appearance almost at will.[274] Early on, police complained of the futility of showing his photograph to witnesses; he looked different in virtually every photo ever taken of him.[275] In person, "... his expression would so change his whole appearance that there were moments that you weren't even sure you were looking at the same person," said Stewart Hanson, Jr., the judge in the DaRonch trial. "He [was] really a changeling."[276] Bundy was well aware of this unusual quality and he exploited it, using subtle modifications of facial hair or hairstyle to significantly alter his appearance as necessary.[277] He concealed his one distinctive identifying mark, a dark mole on his neck, with turtleneck shirts and sweaters.[278] Even his Volkswagen Beetle proved difficult to pin down; its color was variously described by witnesses as metallic or non-metallic, tan or bronze, light brown or dark brown
quote: Bundy underwent multiple psychiatric examinations; the experts' conclusions varied. Dorothy Otnow Lewis, Professor of Psychiatry at the New York University School of Medicine and an authority on violent behavior, initially made a diagnosis of bipolar disorder,[299] but later changed her impression more than once.[3][300] She also suggested the possibility of a multiple personality disorder, based on behaviors described in interviews and court testimony: A great-aunt witnessed an episode during which Bundy "... seemed to turn into another, unrecognizable person ... [she] suddenly, inexplicably found herself afraid of her favorite nephew as they waited together at a dusk-darkened train station. He had turned into a stranger."[19] Lewis recounted a prison official in Tallahassee describing a similar transformation: "He said, 'He became weird on me.' He did a metamorphosis, a body and facial change, and he felt there was almost an odor emitting from him. He said, 'Almost a complete change of personality ... that was the day I was afraid of him.'"[301] Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) has also been proposed in at least one subsequent retrospective analysis.
THIS ^^^ OMG - I can't get over it. It's exactly what I was describing in my OP on this thread. The crazy chameleon personality changes - and the changes in facial expression. I can't believe how these people (referring to Ted Bundy's case) are describing the exact same thing I noticed - and Bundy was a mutable sign - Sagittarius with mutable Sag Mars... This can't be pure coincidence. It is just strange that they are even using the same kinds of words I used in my posts here (and when I posted this thread, I didn't know these details about Ted Bundy at all). I am not suggesting the people I referred to in the initial post are psychopaths.. or that they would do something illegal. I am just wondering what kind of psychological disorder or drug addiction etc... justifies and explains such personality changes. The psychologists working on the Bundy case were not able to come to an agreement regarding his condition. Could this just be a symptom of multiple personality disorder? But the facial expression changes - and in particular how different they look in photos - is *creepy*. I have in mind one particular man as I am typing this (but the others I mentioned were likewise 'odd'). IP: Logged |

I have had this happen where I have "seen" people change into something entirely different BUT one is a Scorpio and the other a Libra. None has ANYTHING Mutable in their charts. I *think* it is what someone else mentioned that we see sides of them on a deeper level, maybe paranormal, because at that particular moment we are that close to them. Itīs scary as all hell!! But if they legit change I would assume we are talking a deeply rooted personality disorder and/or psychedelics... IP: Logged |

Human chameleon http://bps-research-digest.blogspot.com.au/2007/03/brain-damage-turns-man-into-human. html J/k. I've seen people who adapting to get along with others n to blend in by changing their personalities and/or by "mirroring" others. But not extreme like what you've experienced though. IP: Logged |

It often happens that a friend sees a picture of me and refuses it to be me, although I don't change style/haircut often. I guess it's because my face is not so regular and I appear to be changing features according to the angle. How many times have I heard "this isn't you, this CAN'T BE you".IP: Logged |

I have the luminaries, Jupiter, Saturn and a few asteroids in mutable signs, along with my Ascendant's depositor. I also have an exalted Lilith in Gemini exactly conjuncting my Moon.My mother calls me Jekyll and Hyde sometimes, and that I'm like a Gemini. (she has a little bit of an stereotypical understanding of Astrology) So I tell her that I act like a Gemini because I have a Gemini Moon. I'm a lot like what Kerosene described in his first paragraph. (my friend noticed it as well) I have never done any substance abuse, though. So I cannot tell you what people around me experienced with that aspect... (just to clarify in case you did not already know, I'm a male, lol) IP: Logged |

Pisces men are known for being the alcoholic fathers: loving one day, drunk and wretched the next. Sags with scorpio placements can be secretive about their feelings so when they can't deal with it any more, you might be surprised by their behaviors IP: Logged |

Interesting concept. I am a Pisces who used mind alterting substances in the past, but interstingly I never had issues in terms of my personality changing, in fact I felt that my personality was enhanced/better and even received comments from sober people as such. Granted I do have my Sun in Pisces along with Jupiter conjunct Venus which I think leads one to be very sound personality wise. I don't know if it's just limited to mutuable men, but rather it comes down to one's ability to know one's self and be confident in your core identity. I certainly am not advocating drug use.
