I am not religious at all, but I do believe there are symbols of astrology in the bibles, as well as symbols from tarot cards. Luke 22:10 He said to them, "Behold, when you have entered into the city, a man carrying a pitcher of water will meet you. Follow him into the house which he enters. Anyone else thought this was a scene of the water bearer?IP: Logged |

[~~~~Basically, there is no confusion in religion. ~~~~~ I am fully dedicated to Christianity and in no way dedicated at all to astrology. My presence here is more of dwelling in a social venue and I neither understand nor believe in the intricacies of astrology. Frankly, I find Vedic astrology and Chinese astrology far more predictive and accurate than Western astrology. And I find my guidance from God 1,000 times more accurate than any astrology. As for my wife becoming OK with it? Forget that because it will never happen. We're both life long devout Christians, and it's not because we were raised that way. It is our own choice to dedicate our lives to religion. As for deception, I admitted that there is an element of secrecy and of course deception on my part. I shouldn't ever be on this forum. As to fights, there are no fights between my wife and I. Our marriage is based on Christianity. That is absolute and will never change. As to me becoming OK with it? It's not going to happen either because no matter how you slice it, the whole matter runs contrary to my religion. All I have done so far is to keep an open mind. Otherwise, the terms typically associated with astrology include "witchcraft," "devil worshipping," "idolatry," "Satanism," etc. As for the Vatican, I neither dwell nor subscribe to the Vatican. I'm not a Catholic and I don't agree with the whole papacy nor the concept of sainthood. I'm not here to enter into a fruitless debate-based p1ssing contest over Scripture. Let's just agree to not agree. I'll make my own decisions in my own timeframe and under my own recognizance, and only let God handle the Judging. Sorry you've had to read the crap I just posted.
<<<<quote: Originally posted by YoursTrulyAlways: ~~~~It's incompatible. I'm conflicted and confused. ~~~~ My chart ruler is Neptune in 9th House in Scorpio. I'm supposed to dedicate my life to God. If the ruler of Scorpio is Pluto, then mine is in Virgo in 7th House, ~~~~which means my marriage is built on Christianity, and I'm cheating on my wife with LL .~~~~ If the ruler of Scorpio is Mars, then mine is in Capricorn in my 11th House. Anyway, there is a ton of Biblical scripture against astrology. For whatever references you can pull up about wise men, etc., I can pull up five references against, and almost all are irrefutable.>>>> Re: the "~~~~ parts" *eyebrow raised* you completely contradict yourself and I don't even need to "enter into a p!ssing contest" with you because your first post, which I've marked with "~~~" on the contradictory statements, completely show you're confused which you deny in your reply to me. I was only making a suggestion since you said it was like " cheating on your wife." I assume there will or would be fights if she found out, and she will, because women always find out. I don't care what you do with your life or religion or your marriage at all.

Neither do you know me nor my wife and what we have been through. She doesn't have to find out. I told her this morning. She was indifferent because she knows I'm steadfast as a Christian, and ultimately, she trusts me, and knows that I can't get comfortable with astrology. I respectfully suggest minding your own territories. And I don't give two sh1ts if Randall wants to ban me. Makes my life easier, actually. Only decorum stops me from engaging in flying profanity, and not fear of getting banned. In fact, banning myself from this joint is a great idea. IP: Logged |

Not about LL itself. One step at a time. The discussion was more about astrology readings on LL. LL as a social venue opens the Spanish Inquisition about female insecurities. I'm not stupid. I am already far over-sexed and no other women can possibly interest me lol. IP: Logged |

My religion in Christianity and my Christian relatives told me that Astrology is witchcraft to our God. I'm very sorry, but I want to stand with my God." Religion is poison. That's all I've got to say. She was so into it. Her chart even says so. I don't think she'll ever escape the world of Astrology. She's addicted.
I know astrology is just the study of reality. I suppose that a person who's become convinced that astrology is true could later block himself or herself from thinking about astrology, but the reality is there regardless. Why would God forbid us from merely using our awareness, that's the question that stumped me, back when I was a Christian grappling with these things. I can sometimes guess birthdays within a few days. Does that make me a witch, just for noticing patterns that are right there? God is doing that to people, punishing them for noticing how his creation plays out? Again I have no choice but to say that I could never worship a God like that. IP: Logged |
