That's one really beneficial thing about composite/Davisson charts: What's not clear at first glance in the synastry can become clear.

For me the Davisson chart is never right. I don't know why

Dominique Dunne: Strangled to Death

Dunne made appearances in several made for television movies, television series, and films, and played a prominent role as the oldest daughter, Dana, in the 1982 film Poltergeist. She was strangled to death by her former boyfriend. In 1982, after completing work on Poltergeist, Dunne met and later moved in with a Los Angeles chef, John Thomas Sweeney, who was working at the restaurant Ma Maison. After a short and abusive relationship, Dunne ended her relationship with Sweeney. A few weeks later, Sweeney strangled Dunne in the driveway of her home after she refused to reconcile with him. She fell into a deep coma for five days. She died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, at the age of 22. Dunne was 19 days shy of her 23rd birthday.

Her last TV appearance, aired after her death, was in an episode of Hill Street Blues titled Requiem for a Hairbag. She played a teenage mother who is a victim of parental abuse. Some of her bruise marks were actual bruises inflicted from abuse by Sweeney the night before filming. The episode was dedicated to her memory. Sweeney was convicted of manslaughter and was sentenced to 6½ years in prison. He served less than four years before his release, having been given credit for time served before conviction. He was then hired as a chef at a restaurant in Santa Monica, California; however, Dunne's family publicly protested his employment there, and he was fired. In interviews, Dunne's father has said that for a time, he employed the services of private investigator Anthony Pellicano to follow and report upon Sweeney. According to Dunne's father, Pellicano reported that Sweeney had changed his name and moved to the Pacific Northwest. However, Dunne's father has said that he no longer wishes to squander his life following Sweeney and therefore has discontinued any attempts to keep tabs on him. Dominique Dunne was buried in Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery near family friend Natalie Wood.

Dominique Dunne's Natal Chart - Sun square Pluto

Dominique was born with the Sun conjunct Mars, and this aspect will usually give rise to a fiery nature, but it can also be an indicator of a male partner (Sun) who is aggressive, selfish, and who has difficulty controlling his temper (Mars). The Sun is also square to Pluto, and this aspect corresponds with fated experiences, and continual episodes of ego death-rebirth. The fatherly influence of Sun-Pluto can show a heavy and dominating character, in some way, she subconscoisly feels dominated by the men in her life. Dad is a powerful and influential figure. He worked as a journalist, and this is shown by her Sun in the sign of Sagittarius (truth, higher communication, and justice). Her Dad is an investigative (Pluto) writer and his subjects focus on high society and the judical system. He was also vice president of Four Star Pictures. He had personal demons to contend with, and was beset with problems of addiction. Sun-Pluto reflects a compulsive personality, and he fought daily to overcome his addictions. He later published an article A Fathers Account of the Trial of his Daughter's Killer. Quite often, a strong obsessive or overzealous man can make Dominique feel she is not safe to express herself. Many with these contacts, especially the hard aspects can become secretive and withdrawn, and will hide their real feelings underneath. Dominique had enormous willpower like her father, but she also had a fascination with power. Therefore, relationships can be demanding and forceful, and unconsciously a woman with this aspect can marry a man with her own fathers temperament or with his own "demons" to overcome. There is often issues of control, obsession and manipulation in the psyche of the Sun-Pluto individual.

Wow, there's another example of a woman with a sun/Mars conjunction who dealt with an abusive partner. Difference is, hers had Pluto squares, this one has an opp to Jupiter and Uranus.

Thanks for finding this, VM!

What a shame and she was so young too, she had her whole career in front of her. Women with badly aspected Mars or Pluto have to be careful when choosing a partner, too much potential for abuse.

The way you described your friends relationship is exactly how me and my first boyfriend were. I was 15. Finally left him when I was 21 but I would hit him too. I would have his hand marks on my neck. Once he wasn't stopping. I fought very hard and actually stayed with him like an idiot. He was a cheater and a freakin liar. We would stalk each other too. We freakin hated and lived each other. Now I know it wasn't love. I am 31 now. First and last abusive relationship I was ever in.

He chased me for a while begging and crying. I never looked back and glad I had moved to a different neighborhood. He would knock on my room window at night throwing beer bottles on the floor because I would not respond. My sisters boyfriend at the time had a talk with him and he never did it again.

He use to buy me stuffed animals and jewlery and take me out to eat but when it got bad it was very bad.

Oh and we were engaged too. He had given me a beautiful ring. I know I know.

Thanks I was so glad too but I will not put all the blame on him only. I was abusive too. I busted his lips a few times and gave him black eyes. I would kick his knee bone with my huge heels.

We talk once a year on the phone.

It was a disaster what we had. So glad I never got pregnant by him at a young age.

Both Venusian and the ops composite have sun opposite neptune which shows up so often in women who are in relationships with abusive men or men who are mentally ill or hardcore addicts (in natal). People with sun in bad aspect to neptune need to be careful the same way women with sun or mars in aspect to Pluto have to, bc its a potential abusive or violent signature in the natal.

In composite, the sun opp neptune shows pretty much the same theme. It can show cheating and substance abuse. I think neptune was square mars in composite too and that's a classic cheating aspect in composite and Synastry. Edit: this was in Vms composite.

Vm has Venus and moon on Algol and that shows up in abuse too.

The ops composite has mars opp uranus with mars on Algol so the fall will be extra dangerous for her. T. Sat will be opp that afflicted mars and will also oppose his natal venus on Algol. He may turn extra violent. She needs to be careful. It could mean they break up fr good at that time too.

Still, no excuse for the physical assaults. It should be either break up or self control.

And that's another thing that is lacking besides trust - self control - there are ways to manage anger and control one's emotions.

Really agree with this.
But the thing is, is that their composite has sun conj. mercury and venus, giving the impression that they understand one another when it's actually based on deception & fantasy with venus opp. neptune.

This relationship sounds like a strictly plutonian relationship: karmic, love/hate borderline, a sense of destiny.
& her pluto is conj. his NN/ascendant, and his pluto is conj. her NN.- major sense of destiny.
To add to the mix, they've got uranus aspects: unpredictable, huge ups & downs esp with moon conj. uranus.

Agrees, sun/Venus conjunct in composite - they feel destined to love each other it's just Neptune keeps saying NO in his own strange way. He never says NO right out.
