I am Gemini moon, but I think more importantly for what I'm about to say is that I'm Leo Sun.

I've known some Cancer Suns... and I was once married to a Cancer Sun. Now, obviously I married that woman but Cancer as a Sun sign I'm not REALLY that fond of. I like 'em, but sometimes they drive me nuts.
I've known one woman who had Cancer moon.
Long story short, I COMPLETELY fell for her. But, another long story short, it was a complex situation with lots of frustration and I ended up sinking my Lion teeth through her crab shell and I knew the softer spots. (Shame on me)

But what about Cancer moon?
She was so supportive! She was always there for me. She always listened and knew what to say. She was very comforting and her sensitivity made her seem like she really cared a lot and could actually feel for me - identify with me and my feelings. The Cancer Sun just seemed to be overly sensitive in a more outgoing manner, (getting upset with me) rather than receptive.
She, like many of you here, had very low self-image and self-esteem. But that didn't affect how she interacted with me. As a result, I became less INSENSITIVE and would be supportive of her. I would give plenty of compliments because I knew she needed them, and I meant them.

From my experiences there's no reason for you all to feel that way. In my opinion, the Moon in Cancer is its' best placement. There's something just incredibly natural about it and if it's not so noticeable to you, it IS very noticeable to others.

I'm cancer moon 5� , and I have natal saturn squ. moon -- this one is the real doom

I don't know where to start. Actually since my progressed Moon entered Capricorn I've been alone and all serious and depressed..
And my progressed Pluto is in 8th house.
