I want to share an amazing article by Steven Forrest on his take on synastry. It's very informative. Enjoy! (it's longggg though so make sure you have plenty of time before you start reading it!). http://www.forrestastrology.com/synastry/love-handles-practical-synastry-in-action IP: Logged |

I especially love this part:There is no manner of astrological interaction between two people that is so inherently sweet that enough selfishness, confusion about sex, or immaturity cannot turn it sour. There is no manner of astrological interaction between two people that is so inherently bitter that enough patience, devotion, and humility can not only make it last, but make it something precious to both people. And this: The point is that even the "easy" aspects require care and feeding if they are going to develop into everything they can be-remember: their dark side is sleepiness. The treasure may be in the back yard, but they still have to dig it up. I'm disappointed that he didn't mention the importance of which sign a conjunction appears within. For example, when he talked about the Moon conjunct Mars, it would make a big difference if that was happening in Aries (since the Moon would be "martialized" natally) than if it were happening elsewhere. Likewise, Sun conjunct Saturn would feel different to a Capricorn Sun since Saturn is it's ruling planet. Yes, he couldn't go into this in detail, but to not even mention it as a VERY important consideration when evaluating a conjunction in synastry is a sad oversight.

Read it, and it's totally worthwhile. Have you read their book on synastry?------------------ I love it when people use the word "sheeple". It lets me know not to take them seriously. •••••••••••••••••• If I've included this sig, it's because I'm posting from a mobile device. I don't have Skymates vol 1 (for some reason I thought that I did), but I have Skymates vol 2 - Composites on the Kindle and can apparently lend it out one time for 14 days: http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=200549320 I'd be happy to if you'd like. You're someone who seems genuinely helpful and concerned, so think of it as what you've passed forward coming back to you. IP: Logged |

thanks for sharing. I don't agree with some of it, but still good reading. It doesn't say where it was taken from - is it a book? recent blog/post? just curious if this is new or recycled info. from somewhereIP: Logged |
