This sums it up pretty nicely. I remember thinking several times as a child about what happens after death etc., it just wouldn't make sense to me that we'd simply stop existing and that's it. I would always think there must be a reason for us being here, a higher purpose... It actually surprises me now how I'd think about these things at such a young age, lol! But yep, it's always been a relevant topic on my mind.

I also think it gives us a certain taste for adventurous things and trying new stuff. One quick and simple example: I love trying new food, even if I later end up not liking it (very rarely happens). I love spices too and just tasting food from other cultures in general. I have always blamed this on my 9th house Moon.

I have a 9th house Pisces moon conj MC and I say yes to all of the above

I am not that religious, but I am spiritual. Astrology in all its forms will always interest me.

makes sense since your moon is in cancer....i find that this moon placement tends to be more traditional and attached to their roots and heritage.

well....
i dont have a ninth house moon but....
like some of you,
i adore learning about cultures, have friends from all backgrounds and races...i travel a lot,
yes to trying cuisine of different countries and i adore spices....
and, all of my dates have been foreigners....

i have neptune in the 9th house, and saturn and uranus in saggie.
juno in saggitarius too.

some appreciation:
ive met 9th house mooners and i adore them...because they're one of the few people who i can say, "let's try.....cambodian cuisine" and their response is usually, "yes, sure"
they dont seem to be afraid to try something new or different
and, i find that 9th house mooners are more likely to be open and less judgmental to people from different backgrounds...and that is very neat

i also find that 9th house mooners in air or fire signs are more likely to be somewhat relativist toward spirituality or religion...so kind of having this pluralistic view of religion/spirituality. ive yet to meet a 9th house mooner in an air/fire sign who advocated that their way was superior....it is like, you guys can see the interconnectedness in all the spiritual systems in the world.
again, very neat.
i mention air or fire, because i find water and earth moons to be more fixed and extremist as to religious beliefs.

question:
any 9th house libra mooners?

Exactly!

My Cancer Moon makes me highly nostalgic! I respect tradition & family values.

While on the other hand, with my Moon in the House of Sag...I'm very open to diversity at the same time. So it gives me a nice balance!

Good explanation! I have difficulty in that area of explaining things. (12 house Mercury maybe)
That sums up my view pretty well. Like one of those blankets patched together with different fabrics keeping mankind warm.

I just checked out my current transits. As of today I have:

-Jupiter sextile Venus
-Jupiter sextile Pluto

Any advice on these?!

Also...this is a great link I was skimming through about us 9H Mooners. Take a look!

Sun in 9th house here. Do I seem an optimistic person to you?

Not really.

So astrologically, what do you feel plays the biggest role in your pessimism Rosalind?

Yeah I bet that can be tough at times.

Do you feel any improvement in this over time? Or it's all downhill?

Funny, I couldn't tell you a stinkin' thing about how the 9th affects it. I'll have to look around and see if I relate to some descriptions. LOL
I DON'T EVEN KNOW MYSELF!!!!!! AHHHHHHH
That wasn't even capslock... that was shift key mf. That's how upset I am.

These past 6-7 years, how has it been having your Gemini in the 9th House? Have you grown into it? If you don’t mind me asking, which age-group are you in?! Thank youu!

Does that make you religious as they say? Which sign is your Saturn in? What’s your 9th House Lord? Where is it placed? Sorry, I’m just curious, haha.

So lovely to find another 9th House Moon! I so seldom come across them, they're always a lovely find. I'll share my experience:

My mother is a very spiritual, optimistic person. She always encouraged my brother and myself to get acquainted with our emotions and know them for what they are - to not view them as detrimental, but assets with which we could progress in our spiritual development. She has always been very emotionally poised and wholesome. My mother's parents are from Spain and naturally very piously Catholic (my grandmother was going to become a nun). My mom grew up in the US, Japan and Germany and speaks 4 languages. She is indeed a Sagittarius, which is the 9th House incarnate.

In my experience, the Moon in the 9th House almost always points to a mother who has a connection to a culture different from that which the chart native is born; she also almost always has a strong religious connection in her family, although she herself may not be so rigid in her views; she is also almost always very spiritual and well-traveled and cultured. A 9th House mother is also very permissive in terms of the freedom she allows her kids; my mother was always very involved but gave both my brother and myself room to roam, grow, and make our own mistakes.

Naturally, I inherited my love of languages, spirituality, cultures, and traveling from my mother. I am also very emotionally rational; ie: when a calamity befalls me, my reaction is to rationalize and know that it all fits into the "grand scheme" of things somehow, as opposed to getting bogged down in the irrational world of emotions. Which is not to say I evade emotions altogether, I actually work with them. Sounds totally 9th House "higher mind" to me.

What has your experience been? Please share!

Unfortunately, I don’t have any 9th House placements in particular (still not sure if my Jupiter counts, tbh), but I find this post well-crafted! You are a lovely writer
