I've come to think that Neptune is the cruelest of planets. I'm sick and tired of Neptune.

I'm wondering if any astrologers out there have seen someone with too much Neptune eventually get beyond it. Meaning where someone with a lot of Neptune-Venus/Moon indicators finally stops living Neptunian relationships. I'm not talking about someone young at the beginning of their relationship journey, but someone a bit older who's gone through several Neptunian relationships.. the guys with girlfriends, the guys who seemed straight but weren't, the fantasy non-existent relationships, etc.

If you want to see the Neptunian disaster that is my chart, here are the details: April 15, 1975, Moncton, Canada, 9:15 a.m.

Please don't tell me the textbook babble about universal love/loving God instead. I tried that and it was also empty. I'm finding that, three or four years into a Neptune square Venus-Moon transit, that all I want now is a Saturnine, stable, normal relationship, but I fear that with all that Neptune and Saturn ruling my 7th house, it'll just never happen. Thoughts? Experiences? Insights?

I know what you mean, 12thHouse.

I am Pisces rising, so Neptune is my chart ruler. It is not well aspected, and it has been responsible for a lot of clouded thinking in a certain areas of my life (love, sex, money, religion) where it has led me to the worst kind of delusions. When you wake up from one of those Neptunian dreams, reality can be shattering and devastating.

Sigh... What to do? I have tried rejecting my chart ruler, but it's not possible. It's like rejecting yourself. So this is what I have done in the past few months and it seems to be working.

I need to express Neptune in some way or the other. So I reserve that specifically for dancing and listening to music which I do everyday. It keeps me happy. But otherwise, I make it a point to reject dreamy thoughts, fantasies and daydreaming in the areas where it has caused me trouble. I just tell myself, Neptune, stop it, you're not going to mislead me again, and I call on Saturn to bring me wisdom and clearheadedness.

Sometimes, I do use the universal love and compassion stuff Neptune bestows on my emotions, as long as I feel it is safe to do so, that is as long as my physical needs are met or as long as I feel I can do that safely. I express it in my work where it finds a great outlet because I am a health practitioner.

"It will happen". Lol no man. You have to make it happen. I'm pretty sure you can break natal chart rules if you want to. By that I mean do what your heart or head says. Btw heh we share same birthdays.

It’s like slow poison. Dreams after dreams, the person thinks that they are all real. One day he/she can see the reality but still can’t wake up, usually it’s too late by then to wake up and the person decides to go to the land of escapism again.

Have you tried to use all that energy into creative outlets?

I have Saturn conjunct Venus in Scorpio and even with this, I feel soooo much.

But I channel a lot of that Venus energy into creativity; painting, writing, theatre production, poetry etc.

Now as far as romantic relations are concerned, with Neptune therein, that's a b***.

I'd also add that neptune aspecting Venus can make one's relations topsy turvy; things can seldom make sense and one can go from feeling completely invisible to suffering in the hands of a lover.

My therapy for anything is writing. There is nothing that gets my juices flowing quite like pain; it is the ultimate muse.

I say, if you can, write. Write about your experiences and with your Sun conjunct Mercury, maybe you should talk to somone too.

Sun-mercury conjunction may deal with issues by talking them away.

I second what ASC Taurus said.

The thing with Neptune is to find a safe outlet for all that fantasy and daydreaming escapism tendency, and artistic creativity and endeavors are the safest. and potentially the most rewarding outlet.

I think its cruel too, i have heavy neptune in my chart, absorbing peoples energies, getting lost in others and loosing yourself. All i can see that is positive from neptune is the arts, but that all usually comes from suffering and experiences. It does feel magical though from what can be created from the suffering or delusional perceptions.

Yeah people with moon/venus Neptune aspects seem to suffer with it because it can be so emotionally draining for such soft planets.
Both my parents have moon conjunct neptune... Life seemed really difficult for them..

However malefic planets like mars can either channel neptune in a beautiful way or can be completely consumed by passivity.

I actually really like my mars square neptune aspect... I don't think I've really felt it's negativity. I just feel it's positive.

My sister has mars conjunct neptune in sag, she's a dancer and can channel neptune in a really captivating way.

Kero, your family's Neptune similarities point to genetics imo. It's similar in my family with Neptune and Pisces.

It could be the same with any planet. Like, in some families it's Pluto. The dad will be Scorpio, the mom will have a sun conjunct Pluto, the kids will have various aspects to Pluto from personal planets or luminaries, or they will have Scorpio prominent in their charts. It indicates Scorpio traits run in the family.

Well my mars is in aries so it's hot but I think neptune washes it down a little.
I'm not that impulsive, my instincts are heightened.
I can usually predicts actions of other people and prepare myself.

It benefits me in sexual situations...
fulfillment of fantasies etc

What's your asteroid DNA doing?
Mine conjuncts neptune and uranus exact.

My dad has sun conjunct uranus and my sisters luminaries conjunct neptune/uranus.

My sisters dna aspects neptune and uranus.

I just checked, my DNA isn't doing anything much lol not conjunct anything. At least it's in the tenth house.
I envy all your awesome placements, Kero!

Hm. My Neptune is conjunct my NN, and both are square to my Sun and Moon.

I've made a victim of myself in the past, and been quite self-destructive--in relationships, and life in general.

But somehow I continued to keep putting one foot in front of the other, getting back up again after a fall, and dusting myself off until I was finally able to channel it in more constructive ways. But it took a LONG time for that to happen.

I try to channel the spiritual side of Neptune now, as I am involved in my daily spiritual life and more aware of the energies around me.
If I have a second, I paint. Sometimes I just color with my son and listen to music, because that's all I have time for, but whatever works.

I also work hands-on in social services, where I can offer my empathy and understanding of how painful life can be--but at the end of my shift I can go home, and I don't have to carry anyone's problems or issues with me.

I still have irrational crushes and daydreams, but they don't bother me too much because I just acknowledge the reality of the situation. Besides being married now, I can just tell if someone wouldn't be into me or if they are a big red flag. I'm faithful to my husband, but allow myself to have crushes.

I think, all in all, that my Saturn trine Sun, square Pluto (it gives determination, for sure) and Pluto sextile Neptune have kicked the detrimental aspects of Neptune in my life to the curb for the most part. But not always. There are nights when I have a little more to drink than I probably should, and sit up and listen to music. Oh well.

I'm sorry that you're having such a hard time with it right now, and I hope things get better for you.

I also agree with the writing, and creative expression. There's a great quote by Kurt Vonnegut about going into the arts..."Dance to the radio. Tell stories. Write a poem to a friend, even a lousy poem."
That's not the full quote, but maybe still worth mentioning.

I'm sorry I didn't look at your chart...if you don't have any help from Saturn or Pluto, I imagine that would make it harder.

well i've got Neptune square my Asc,Sun,Moon,Saturn and Jupiter, and opposes my midheaven.

on the 'bright' side it sextiles my pluto, quintiles my Chiron, and trines my mean node.

also does things with the minor asteroids.....how Venus,Mars and Uranus managed to escape from my very busy natal Neptune, i don't know...but THANK THE HEAVENS for that.

On the other hand i used to and still to a less extent now, used to like writing stories for my friends often, and they all used to tell me separately (it was in email and my strange way of keeping in touch when younger ) that they loved the imagination, and couldn't imagine these things their self (in a good way though).

So yeah....Neptune, one 'foggy' planet, i know you have a lot of oppositions to, but i agree with whomever advised you to take up anything artistic as an outlet. as reality and imaginary can get blurry, including other peoples intentions to us, or who they really are compared to who we make them up to be.... sigh.....

I have Moon-Neptune and Venus-Neptune. Also Neptune rules my 5th. I personally prefer the Neptune but I'm kinda spiritual and Pisces is my NN so maybe that's some of my draw to it?

I just looked at your chart and I also have Mars sq Neptune and Pluto sextile Neptune too. The biggest difference would be yours trines your Mercury and Jupiter. And i have no inconjunct to Saturn. I have Venus opp Neptune too but my moon trines my Neptune rather than opposes.

I think other outlets for Neptune would be good for you. I can recommend a book for you I love that might help.

My Capricorn Neptune is afflicted in my chart, it's 0° and in the 1H. I do have Sun-Mer-Ven in 7H tightly opposite Neptune, all tightly squaring my MC/IC.

I just got out of a Neptunian "relationship", lol. I woke up one day and stopped projecting onto the other person. And I understood that when people say they're going to do or want to do something, but do the opposite, PAY ATTENTION!

I can offer this: strive to be honest in ALL of your dealings. No need to be hurtful in your honesty to overcompensate, but be honest at all times. It will FREE you! Also, don't look to your romantic partner to be the end-all! Develop those one-on-one relationships with friends/relatives, hell, even colleagues!

The other thing is to channel the energy properly. Neptune is not a curse, but a gift. I'm writing a book; perhaps you can also develop or delve deeper into your spirituality or the arts. I took an acting class, and I quickly discovered that it was like breathing for me, incredibly easy and innate. Write, draw, act, sculpt, meditate...and look to heal yourself in these endeavors. You'll quickly inspire everyone around you when you're true to yourself.

Good luck!
