In a a natal chart if we want to see what qualities a person is attracted to where do we look? I know that in a mans chart his moon and venus show what he looks for in a partner and in a womans charts its her sun and mars. I also know that you are attracted to the sign opposite your ascendant. Does anyone know any other indications? And also, if your rising is in gemini for example, would you be sexually attracted to sagittarius or would it be more like a pull towards sagittarius qualities?

Also look at aspects the aspects to those planets(Moon/Venus/Sun/Mars). Plus, see if there are any planets in seventh house. I have Jupiter in seventh house, and I'm attracted to Sagittarians mostly, even though I have Aries as my descendant.

The DC isn't exactly what you're attracted to, sign-wise, but rather represents the qualities you're drawn to in the relationship as a whole.

Any ways, for general attraction and tastes, look at the relation planets: Venus and Mars. Venus is what you idealise and want, but it's not very deep and often more of an infatuation or admiration. Mars is more like chemistry and sexual/physical energy, but, like Venus, is superficial.

Once you're attracted and start spending time together, you move onto the relationship planets: Moon and Saturn.

Well you have to live with the person! Look at it like this: Mars and Venus rule the two yang cardinal signs. Cardinal signs symbolise beginnings, and being yang, they are outwards-oriented. These represent attraction, courtship, and everything light/shallow in relationships.

The yin cardinal signs (representing parents, no less) are ruled by Moon and Saturn. These represent domestic life and everything heavy/deep in a relationship. They represent commitment, effort, and adjustment.

It takes two people for a relationship: you (the AC) and your partner (the DC). As you progress from your active self (Aries) to your unguarded self (Cancer), your partner likewise progresses from someone you chase (Libra) to someone who protects and provides for you (Capricorn). And then, don't forget, you are your partner's DC. So in a balanced relationship, they will court you as well and trust you to protect and provide for them too.

I agree with VenusDiSerius.

Also check for the 5th house ruler, 7th house ruler, and 8th house ruler (and sometimes 2nd house ruler can be revealing as well, in terms of what you're attracted to in a physical sense)

You will be attracted to early Earth Signs, late Fire. It may be a relationship that is out of time in some way, perhaps with an age difference.

I usually attract scorpios. My 5th house is in scorpio and the scorpio suns i attract usually have my gemini sun in their 5th house or they usually have venus in libra which connects to my mars.

For me... I have a Cap AC and therefore Cancer DC

I have noticed over the years that I do enjoy qualities attributed to Sun Sign Cancer... tenderness/sensitivity, caring, and feminine/maternal qualities in men... but I don't get along with Cancer in general because it squares my Libra planets. Cancer is a lifelong lesson for me, and one I am not comfortable learning with a Sun Sign Cancer man (tried once briefly) but I do like a man with a planet or two in Cancer just fine.

My Sun (Libra) causes me to be attracted to intelligent (Libra is Air/Intellect) men (and it's in the 8th house conj PL so I like Pluto/Scorpio too) and my Mars (Aquarius) means I am attracted to unusual men who are ahead of their time and original and creative thinkers. Leo is also in my 7th house and I LOVE a man with Leo qualities. I love a little arrogance and star quality... and a warm heroic heart above all. My Cap moon does crave stability deep in my heart... so some earthy staying power is also important. I seem to like the Virgo and Taurus energy and some Saturn in synastry.

H5 & H7 rulers.

I've noticed my Venus/pVenus is really attracted to Sun, Mars, and I suspect Ascendent. The conjunction is strongest, with the trine aspect a close second.

Those with the sincerest interest often have pMoon in Virgo (Asc, H5 ruler, Saturn), Sagittarius (Moon, H7 ruler, Neptune), or Gemini (Sun & MC). OTOH my pMoon touching their Sun.

I attract both Libra Suns (my Mars in Libra) or Pisces Sun/Scorpio Moon guys... My 5th house is in Pisces, but I really didn't like this last relationship.

But I noticed that I really like Leo sun guys, maybe because I feel emotionally good by their side (my moon Leo smiles...).

I can and do attract people with any of my planets in their signs which includes Mars and Saturn and Geminis are really drawn to me for some reason. It might be due to a midpoint or pof because I have nothing in Gemini.

Mars in cancer, 5th house pisces, i'm deeply attracted to pisces/scorpio types, i never seem to come across and meet cancer guys, maybe they are at home in their crab shells? :P come out please.

I'm 7th house Aries so i find aries traits in a man attractive (goes well with my sun + merc in sag) and lib asc.

Passion is a MUST, must be passionate and emotional. (2nd house scorpio)

I like emotionally exciting guys, even though they are usually unstable. I don't mind instability (Aqua in venus)
