What natal aspects or sign placements would make someone hate "the chase" when it comes to a relationship? What sun sign, Venus sign, moon sign, etc or aspects in a man's chart would make him enjoy an emotionally and physically available woman instead of a wild, distant one? I'm not talking about a pushover or a needy woman, but a woman who is honest and dedicated to one man?

Actually, I'm not soo sure about Venus in Scorpio. I've seen a few who enjoy chasing. But just not for too long. Like They expect the person they're chasing to eventually surrender to them lol

Venus in Pisces here, I don't really like chasing, I attract them towards me but those whom I dated had Mars in Cancer so I had to chase .

I'm very disinterested in chasing and also in being chased.
Whenever I read or hear about this - it sounds like teenager-style relationships.
I definitely prize honesty and I am honest myself. If someone is not open and honest form the beginning or if they're not interested.. I don't get involved - nor am I attracted to that, nor does it turn me on.

I know some see this as patronising but I do think people who complicate their lives so much.. probably don't have much else to do or deal with.
I have no desire to add extra responsibilities or problems in my life.
The more easy going and straight-forward things are - the better!

I have a Capricorn Moon, Taurus Venus & Capricorn Mars.

The men who are very much my type - and who I never have problems with in this regard.. usually have Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio and/or Capricorn influence.

The men who I have had the most problems with had Taurus & Aries placements in their chart... not just one or the other, but both... sometimes Pisces and Sagittarius Suns.. but they are not quite so bad (unless they also have Aries&Taurus happening).
These guys are just drama.. drama.. pffft!

Why can't most people think like you?

Obviously.
They like to complicate things for the fun of it.
I personally think it's stupid.
I'm not saying I don't chase, I do, but I hate it, it's not fun, and if I have to do it for too long, I'm like "**** it, they're not worth my time." I don't like being chased, in fact, I feel bad if I don't like them and they are chasing me because I don't know how to politely say I don't like you to them without making them feel bad or sad

Why Thank You Mercurial!!

But many do think like me... I've always had good experiences with the signs I posted, so they were mostly on my wavelength.

There are two types of people I can make things work with: The ones who are straight-foward and honest (like myself)..
and.. the ones who are open to changing and following suit (responding with honesty, when I give them honesty), even if that might not be the way they generally behave.

The type I definitely don't gel with (read - Aries/Taurus influence) ... are very stubborn and stuck in their ways. So if they generally do play games or chase - or want to be chased & play hard to get etc.. they will always do that, in the exact same pattern.
It doesn't matter who you are or how you treat them... They are like robots and they follow the exact same script - with everyone.

Yeah, I know what you mean about the Aries/Taurus influenced people.
I'm like you, I'm honest and expect the same and I do not like "chasing" at all on either side. Straight-forwardness is just so simple and I like it that way.

What are your placements?

Agree.
At the moment I can only recall three times that I ever have - directly.

Of course I chase in a roundabout way - charm. I try to create magnetism without directly pursuing. Which, believe it or not it works remarkably well.
Still though, if it's unsuccessful it's no big deal. It's like just having a bait, line, and bobber in the pond. If they bite they bite, if not, oh well. Fish another day.

I'll likely noticed the person I over looked if they pursue me.
Get to know me more!
If you just drop the bomb- I like you, why should I care if you're attracted to me..?
I don't really know you and there's nothing that really intrigues me so far.

When you get to know someone you'll start to see beyond the superficial.

I agree with getting to know the person first, but it can be like I like you initially, but before we go anyhere, we should get to know each other first like friends, no chasing needed.

Lol Maybe in a perfect world, depends how attracted I am.
If that's not the case and if someone randomly comes up and is like,

HI! I WOULD LIKE TO TAKE YOU TO DINNER BECAUSE I FIND YOU APPEALING.
I'd probably laugh and make small talk and disappear into thin air.

Yeah, but I never said go out for dinner as soon as they meet, lol. I mean keep in touch as friends then grow closer little by little like all friends do, but eventually be in a relationship with each other.

That is if you liked each other initially.

This is a better way to describe my feelings here...

I only like relationships that start out like a dance:

Not ones that start out like a chase:

This chasing business feels completely out of sink with my normal sexual/romantic ritual...
I do have a Mars/Neptune conj though - and we definitely enjoy dancing more than going for a jog... so... to each their own.

^I like both...Leo Mars...I'm burning! I wanna do anything! Just let me moveeee. Dancing is nice, I like dancing, as long as you don't mind a Nicki Minaj song once in a while.

What is "chasing" even like?
Where someone keeps on asking you out until you say yes?

I think it's okay for someone to slither in your life evaluate the situation and figure how to seduce you.

Yeah I don't ever just go in for the kill even though I have mars in aries.
That's just how people get rejected, most of the time.
Well unless it's obvious the person is interested than it's easy to ask someone out.
I'll usually try and get to know them a little bit and when they feel comfortable with me I'd ask them out and start to charm them.

Venus in aries likes to chase!
I remember I was ultra tsundere because I was the saturn person in the venus/saturn synastry.
So I'm like.. omg go away.. you make me uncomfortable
But venus in aries would keep persisting.

I was forced to play a game with venus in aries and I accidentally slammed the ball at venus in aries head, and venus in aries took that chance and went in for the kill when I was vulnerable and apologizing!!

Yeah but I agree when true feelings develop chasing is kinda stupid, but I think it's romantic if someone tries to win your affections.. you know?

Lmfao that duckling is so cute, I would run towards it!!

I'm sort of an old-fashioned girl in that I like it if a guy can take initiative, and ask me out. I would send out signals that I like him, but I’d wait for him to do the official asking. This is not a tactic, I just enjoy it more if the guy pursues… It makes me feel more feminine and I like that feeling.

I’m a Capricorn Sun/Cancer Moon, with a stellium of Sag placements (Asc, Venus, Mercury, Neptune), and Mars in Leo. I think Mars in Leo causes me to admire confident outgoing types who’d take initiative.

Not saying that I wouldn’t chase if I were really into someone and he didn’t seem to get the message, and was oblivious to my subtle hints… Just saying that I like it better if the guy chases.

In general masculine signs will chase, while feminine signs will magnetize… Planetary strength will have an effect too. Moon/Venus/Neptune dominants would be more likely to magnetize, while Sun/Mars/Jupiter/Uranus dominants would be more likely to chase. I also think it’s true that Men will generally prefer to chase while women will generally prefer to be chased… GENERALLY that is! Of course there is variation amongst individuals. I think it's a balancing act between what gender you are and what your chart is like.

Yes the duckling is a cutie-pie!!
If all the men of the world turn into cute ducklings.. I might start chasing them!

I have a weird question.. Does anyone know of any articles or papers on the history of dating... and do you by any chance know when this "chasing" terminology was introduced in dating culture?
It's not really classic terminology that is used in every culture and every language - so I'm just curious when/how it came about.

I know it's probably connected with similarities between humans and other animals - when it comes to mating. Because some animals do 'chase' each other.. in the very literal meaning of the word.

I'm just wondering..... I like to know the ins and outs of these things lol I'm probably overanalysing (I so have a Gemini AC!! haha).
I did the same thing with the word 'objectifying' - I looked up so much stuff about it to figure out what it means, what it was initially meant to mean and how it was introduced in popular culture

^ Random guess, to me it sounds like it could have come from the phrase "chasing skirts" ? Or maybe it's jut an informal way to say "pursue"?

I don't have an article though.
