I guess fixed signs ? They gotta have the ability to withstand criticism in order to do fulfil their "role"."The role of the Fixed signs is to maintain, uphold and defend positions, responsibilities, goals or desires in everyday situations." http://www.astrologyzone.com/tools/fixed.html Based on real life observations, I'll give it to taurus people. These people are like a brick wall.
Other than these signs I'd include Libra and Gemini as well. They don't get upset easily, take criticism well. Air is supposed to be rational after all. Throwing fireballs at air, especially mutable air is useless lol. IP: Logged |

Hm. I thought it might be because of Aquarius Moon, but I can handle whatever people throw at me. If I couldn't handle heat, I wouldn't be causing ruckus in the first place! I do have Leo Mars...I don't even care, I call people out all the time, it doesn't even matter. I don't hold grudges though, who has time for that lmfao! IP: Logged |

Apparently that's me. I'd guess it's a mix of strong Libra with Sag. Libra gives me plenty of air & scales to weigh words to see if they were intended a certain way if I take them as harsh (unlike so many who imagine attacks in innocent words/actions or otherwise blow it out of proportion) and even if I decide the attack is real my scales tend to be rational rather than emotional about it and can usually shrug off spite from adults as easily as 2-year-olds, especially if I figured their words are wrong and/or undeserved or irrelevant (and I can even appreciate constructive criticism). All the Sag optimism and ability to shake off the bad no doubt helps a lot, too. And perhaps the splash of Scorpio in my chart helps me simply push away those who I figure will disrupt my harmony too much and/or can't be won over which is a tremendous gift for Libras who often want everyone to like them (while making that difficult by trying to be fair to everyone which gets a lot of people seeing Libra as "taking sides" against them and can ironically make it so that no one likes them as everyone mistakes Libra's fairness for taking sides against). Back in school I think the mix of airy analysis and fire not only helped me shrug off a lot of bad names I endured but got me to compete, treating it like a game, which was sometimes fun. And back then I was more sensitive to bad treatment than I am now. IP: Logged |

Having thick skin is not a "sign" of maturity it just means that you aren't as sensitive to things as another person. Maturity is exactly what the word says. It's being respectful to others, having a strong work ethic, etc etc. Just because a person has "thick skin" doesn't necessarily make them a more mature person. IP: Logged |

Not necessarily but often the two go hand in hand. A mature person has learned how to let things roll off their backs. They have become less reactive and realized they can't please everyone, so comments don't sting as much. Mature people have things in perspective. I consider myself somewhat mature, it's my prize for getting to 37 and figuring out how to endure hardship; insults definitely don't hurt the way they did when I was younger. Now, if someone insults me, I usually laugh to myself or secretly feel sorry for them...actually, I almost never *feel* insulted. I know who I am and what my issues are, comments from outsiders are basically irrelevant. The only exception is when someone I trust (or trusted) blindsides me and tries to take me down; but then the comment itself isn't the issue but my own anger at myself for not seeing it coming. But anyway yeah, generally speaking, I consider myself thick-skinned. People can still annoy me, but I associate a thick skin with resilience against personal attacks. And while I might shoot back at someone for jabbing me, it usually comes from a desire to show someone more of myself so they understand exactly who or what they were criticizing...not from a feeling that I have to defend my honor or something.

Being mature is just having an older sense about you, not generally always a good thing, Sagittarius's are anything but until 40+ Capricorns, Taureans & Scorpios i would say are the Astrological symbols of maturity------------------ Vedic >> Western. I have some of that, but Capricorn can actually be hypersensitive. And I have a Pisces moon, and would just shrivel up and die inside when I was little and someone put me down. I'm the opposite now, which is what makes me think of maturity more than my chart itself. Edit: Hmm, or maybe Capricorn just tends to age this way...especially when the progressed sun reaches Aquarius. IP: Logged |

There's a lady at work who doesn't give a flying fig what anyone says about her, performance or otherwise. She is a Sag sun with Leo moon and libra rising. Totally impervious individual ....boggles my mind actually, because everyone takes turns telling her how she screwed up this, that or the other. She just shrugs and says, oh, okay like Patrick on Spongebob, and then goes back to her work and two minutes later she is singing to the Internet radio at her desk.IP: Logged |
