hahaha that sounded funny faith. i looove everything foreign in all its contents. but i do love my own roots.in fact i like it when a person is proud of his background, because i love to learn about cultures so i dont like it when for example someone who is raised in a western country but is not by etnicity and he cant speak the language or know little to nothing of his origin. so im both a natural lover of all the diverse cultures and proud of my own background. my venus is in sag/stellium. my saturn is in scorpio.

@KeelaHmmm! I have a Cancer Saturn son, but couldn't figure out how it manifests in his personality. But now that you mention it, he is more interested in bedding than anyone else in the family! Like if we go to a department store he just looks longingly at the beautiful bed displays. Even though he's not materialistic, he wants his bed and bedroom just right. He keeps it clean, has a little lamp clipped to his bunk, is mindful of his stuffed animals and the books he keeps handy. Despite wanting a super fantastic bedroom, he just makes the best of his humble little set-up. I think he holds nice bedroom furniture so much in awe that he would actually be overwhelmed to the point of discomfort if he suddenly got that dream room. (Sounds weird, but you would have to know my son.) That to me would be Cancer Saturn. Thanks for your comment, I can see it now. IP: Logged |

Oh thanks My husband gets all the credit for saying odd stuff like that, I'm just reporting it. LOL quote: Originally posted by Plutonic Capricorn: so im both a natural lover of all the diverse cultures and proud of my own background. my venus is in sag/stellium.
I have Sag Venus-Neptune and love the whole world. My own roots are okay but I have such an intense case of wanderlust these last couple of years, I take my own roots for granted. Just get me out of here! #9HJupiter Aries IP: Logged |

The bed is the den. Or the duvet and borders of the bed the shell in Cancerian terms, if you like. But my example was based in reality, too, so it can presumably go both ways. Just as long as the bed (or whatever the security-related thing for each?) is the way it's wanted. What about being particular about history or surrounds otherwise, the way such things are supposed to tie to Cancer in some ways? Food, what have you, security related things ranging from earning money to be secure enough to having the childhood security blanket and toys safe and sound even as an adult, all that? Though especially as a Saturn in Cancer, can you ever be secure enough? (Also asking since I'm these days temporarily somewhere that leaves me out of control of my environment to some extent, and eating seems to be the way the silent inner horror scream manifests to some extent. Don't drop a city-preferring person 25 km+ away from the nearests shops, without a car, reliant on other people to get to your weekly shop. /things Saturn says) IP: Logged |

Great post, Keela, I see what you mean about needing security items but feeling like there aren't really enough of them. I'm really sorry to hear your circumstances are bad now~ hope things get better for you soon! @PC Yes, trying to make it to India! Which would be super difficult and expensive, but we still have our eye on it. Thinking of sailing there, actually. IP: Logged |

Not at all, I actually grew up in a third world country and have been traveling since an early age. Traveled back and forth from US *where I am born* to my parents birth country as a child..too many times =S. No, I don't strongly prefer my own culture to others, but I am very proud of it. I actually do not like men from my parent's birth country I tend to go for other types (same culture, different countries & love Americanized ones and/or white men in general). And nope..I try a little bit of every food from diff. countries, but within the same culture if that makes sense (Hispanic culture has many countries, but different food, etc - even though it's a culture technically we are all different - just sort of speak the same language). So for my chart I suppose Sag. takes on more of a religious role than traveling + it's in the 9th house so it makes complete sense to me. Sooo yea. Hope that makes sense IP: Logged |

^ Those are good!I can't think of any Scorpio Saturns that I know personally, but that'd be my guess for how they'd feel. @EmpressMendez, thanks for answering my questions, it's good to see that Saturn doesn't always force people into the same habits. And it sounds like you've had an interesting life. I'm a bit jealous, actually! IP: Logged |

No worries for you. I'm here to see about my grandmother, who's been a bit more poorly. So... ties to the family and maternal/moon/Cancer side there, too. It was my choice to come here and stay longer still at least until her catarract operation is sorted, to help with eyedrops after that. The circumstances up in Lapland just aren't ideal to a Southern city-person. Nothing is wrong or lacking just now or per se, but if it's a half an hour drive just to get to groceries, I seem to lean toward hoarding once there. So, stuff Saturn in Cancer says: I'm not secure enough? IP: Logged |

That's different for me. I love foreign places (never went where I want to go, but one day I'll), love other foods, and I love to learn foreign languages... maybe because I have Venus in Sag conjunct my Saturn \o/ IP: Logged |

I love this list! Good stuff here. *I* am Saturn-Sag and "It's in God's hands" is definitely something that would come out of my mouth.

It can be restrictive. I think it's more about what happens when you impose more order on a sign than you'd ordinarily see in it. The sign's energy "warps" into a Saturnine version of itself. So, Taurus loves food and luxury, but Saturn Taurus loves having food and luxuries organized, standardized, repetitive. Leo loves attention, but Saturn Leo only wants attention that comes from a well-structured ego and the work that gives rise to. Gemini can talk up a storm but Saturn Gemini might struggle with language, because languages can be haphazard, and Saturn struggles with any kind of chaos. Hope that makes sense, if anyone can answer it better, please chime in. IP: Logged |

Ah so you're in Sweden? I am also in a cold place where I need to drive far for groceries. quote: Originally posted by Keela: So, stuff Saturn in Cancer says: I'm not secure enough?
I don't really know for sure, but Cancer does seem to be about finding security, like locating a seashell to hide their squishy bodies inside of. Best wishes IP: Logged |

'Marrying for love is sweet, but it's about equality, pragmatism, deep down. You're not only marrying your partner, but their whole family. Is this someone with whom you want to spend your life? Are you equals? Do you share the same ideals? Yes, marriage should be about love, but so much more than that. Besides, there are many ways to relate nowadays; who's to say one is superior to the other? All possibilities must be evaluated with the one most preferred by both to be employed. Of course, there's time to decide. No rush.' Saturn in Libra

'I woud love to be in a relationship with someone, but, well, that often leads to a commitment. I hold back not because I don't want a partner, but because I want to avoid the nightmare of having made the wrong decision. I have very clear ideas of what I want, but a difficult time actually getting it. Oh, well. It's no trouble. I have my work.'Saturn in Aries (square Cancer Sun) IP: Logged |
