I don't know who doesn't stay in touch. But I want to speak for fixed signs. I have Taurus Sun (exactly opposite Scorpio Pluto), Leo AC, and my planets Jupiter and Saturn are also in fixed signs very close to my AC/DC angles. I am still in touch with 2 of my exes, which whom I formed relationships in late 20s (I am in early 30s now). Their placements: Leo moon and mars, and the other one Leo sun/merc, Aqaurius moon, scorpio rising. I am still friends with both.

Also very briefly and distantly in touch with another ex I dated 10 years ago. Who is a Leo rising.

So I don't think fixed or not fixed has to do with it. But rather the maturity of both people involved. For instance my breakup with someone i dated when I was 19 was super ugly, and they have Scorpio rising (gem sun and aries moon).

Or maybe it is a balance of energies. But looking at my last relationship with the Leo sun, scorpio rising and aquarius moon man, I can tell with almost certainty that fixed signs alone do not contribute to holding grudges. We were able to achieve an amicable breakup without any ugly fights.
