The only music you will probably never find me listening to is stuff that is overly heavy with the synthesizers/keyboards, or music that is like Nordic heavy metal sounding stuff. Or '70s rock. Not big on that either. Or '70s soft rock. No thanks.

Basically, I like a little of everything in between all of that.

Punk (not to be confused with the stuff they play on the radio), Garage, '80s New Wave, Baroque Pop/rock, Bluegrass, Alternative Country, Hip Hop, folk, Pop Rock, Noise rock, Psyhobilly, Rockabilly, whatever. If it's on an independent label, that much better. If not, whatever.

My teen years were from late 80s to early 90s so I grew up with the sound of then - Nirvana, Pixies, Helmet. I listened to a lot of Fugazi too as well as Public Enemy.

Oh, and love Hendrix too. I don't like much of the 60s - too wimpy and childish. 50s music is ok too as well as some of the big band/swing is good too.

So, it's mostly rock and pop for me. At the moment, I am listening to a lot more classical and really like Vivaldi.

I also love 70's music. We agree there.
I also love 90's music of EVERY genre. Nirvana

We disagree on the 60's. Best time for music EVER, imo. What exactly do you find "wimpy" about the 60's?? Nothing childish about that decade -- that was moreso the 50's with the doo-wop music and also stupid a$$ songs like "That Doggie in the Window".

Every decade has it's crappy music, obviously. But 60's had a sh*tload of amazing talent.

Well jeez, when you bring up THOSE artists, yes. I was thinking more along the lines of Heart and the Bee Gees.

Of course I love Bowie, and a ton of similar artists who were around in the '70s. I love the original punk bands, who all came out in the late '70s. And I also grew up listening to Nirvana, Mudhoney, Sonic Youth, etc. And The Cure, Siouxsie, Joy Division...

I was thinking more along the lines of Rush (no offense intended to anyone). No thanks on the Rush, Heart, or Bee Gees...
I think we're probably the same age, lol.
